The documentary is filmed in Detroit using a single handheld camera. Shots include establishing scenes of empty streets, close-ups of homeless people, and interviews with Stacey in the back of a car. Natural lighting is used since extra equipment would add weight and slow them down. The documentary style prioritizes quickly capturing relevant shots to illustrate the lives of those suffering from homelessness over perfectly lit, professional shots.

We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

2. The video starts of with an establishing shots showing the dark empty
streets of Detroit (where the documentary is set) we are then shown a
montage of shots showing off the audience what Stacey is seeing as they
drive through the streets. We get a close up of one of the people who
Stacey later talks to in the documentary , the lighting is really harsh with
the winter sunlight as the back light which spills over to create a key light.
Since this is a documentary and they need to carry around all of their
equipment they haven’t used any lighting as this would be more weight for
them and time taken to set things up.
3. There are more close ups of [people who later in the documentary
Stacey talks to in more depth. Again the lighting is really harsh an
uncomplimentary of the subjects skin. We then get cutaways of the
many people living on the streets as Stacey begin to talk about the
homeless problem in Detroit. We then get shots of Stacey in the back of
the car as they drive through the streets of Detroit to talk to the people
who are suffering from this problem.
4. The way that this documentary is shot isn’t very professional as they don’t have time to makes sure that the lighting
fits for each individual person, to counter this they use natural lighting where possible, leave the camera on settings,
and using auto setting to allow them to easily pull out the camera point and shoot and make sure they get all of the
relevant shots to what they are talking about capturing all elements of the lives of the people they are documenting.
Using single cam is the best option for documentary as I have said they need to get all of their equipment around and
need to capture everything quickly so using one camera allows them to do this quickly and not have to worry about
setting up separate cameras and sound for each.
