It is important to utilize these

automobiles and cash are
referred to as the family’s
material resources. Every
family must invest wisely in
material resources, making
sure that they consider
quality, durability and
appreciation value when
choosing what to purchase.
Real state properties and

value over time while the
value of furniture, appliances

members together through
sharing and enjoying each other’s

Factors affecting the Family
Budget
1. Amount of Income – the higher
the income of the family, the
greater the amount that they can
spend for their needs and wants.
2. Size and Composition of the
Family – the more members there
are in the family, the more foods
to serve on the table, the more
expensive for their schooling, for
their clothing and for their other
needs.
3. Values of the Family – what
does the family consider most
important in the budget? What

are also important. Without
non-material resources, family
members will be unable to
perform their duties and
responsibilities at home, in
school and at work.
Time
Time is very important. This is
the result that cultivates
cooperation, fulfilment of the
prescribed duties and smart
maintenance of homes. Every
one needs ample time to
accomplish his or her day to
day duties and
responsibilities. We also
needs time to relax and
unwind in order not burden to
the body of cause resentment.
Health
The health of family members
is important. When family
members are in good health,
they can do their duties
without delay. Furthermore
do they consider least important?
Values of the family can be seen
based on what they prioritize in
their expenses.
4. Needs and Wants of the Family
– needs are those that the family
needs to survive on a day-to-day
basis. Food, shelter, clothing are
basic needs. Today, however,
educational, transportation,
electricity, and water are also
considered needs. These are
spent for comfortable living.
Wants, on the other hand,
are those that the family
members desire to have. They can
be postponed if the budget is not
enough but can be purchased if
the budget allows it.

other resources are not used
to pay for medicines and
hospitalization. Health indeed
and wealth.
Experiences
The more experience a family
member has, the more likely
he or she will get hired and be
paid a good amount for his or
her services. So job or work
experience is an important
asset to have.
