I. OBJECTIVES
Objectives must be met over the week and connected to the curriculum standards. To meet the objectives, necessary procedures must be followed and if needed additional lessons, exercises and remedial activities may be done for developing content knowledge and competencies. These are assessed using
Formative Assessment strategies. Valuing objectives support the learning of content and competencies and enable children to find significance and joy in learning the lessons. Weekly objectives shall be derived from the curriculum guides.
A. Content Standards The learner demonstrates understanding of :
1. Human cultural variation, social differences, social change, and political identities.
2. The significance of studying culture, society and politics.
B. Performance Standards The learners:
 Acknowledge human cultural variation, social differences, social change and political identities.
 Adopt an open and critical attitude toward different social, political, and cultural phenomena through observation and reflection.

II. CONTENT
Content is what the lesson is all about. It pertains to the subject matter that the teacher aims to teach in the CG, the content can be tackled in a week or two.

IV. PROCEDURES
These steps should be done across the week. Spread out the activities appropriately so that students will learn well. Always be guided by demonstration of learning by the students which you can infer from formative assessment activities. Sustain learning systematically by providing students with multiple ways
to learn new things, practice their learning, question their learning process and draw conclusions about what they learned in relation to their life experiences and previous knowledge. Indicate the time allotment for each step.
A. Reviewing previous lesson or
presenting the new lesson
The learners will be grouped into four and will be tasked to
unscramble the word to be given by the teacher. Three rambled
words will be given and learners will have to unscramble each word
for one (1) minute. After arranging the letters the group leader or
representative will go in front to write their answers on the board. 1
point will be given to the group who will be able to give the correct
answer. The group with the highest score will be declared the
winner.

The teacher shall show the learners different pictures downloaded
from the internet that depict the different culture of people around
the world. The teacher selects a student to give his/her insight about
the picture.
B. Establishing a purpose for the
lesson
Sharing of Social and Cultural Backgrounds
Learners will be grouped into four (4). Each group will be given ten
(10) minutes to discuss their observations about their social and
cultural backgrounds which include gender, socio-economic class,
ethnicity, religion, nationality and politics. They shall be guided by
the following questions.
a) What influences gender, socio-economic class, ethnicity,
religion and nationality of a person? politics?
b) How do people act according to the given subjects?
Role Playing
Learners will be grouped into four (4). Each group will be given ten
(10) minutes to discuss their strategies on doing a role play. They shall
demonstrate curiosity and openness on the different dynamics of
culture and society and political identities. They shall be guided by the
following guiding questions:
a. What are the different culture of the Filipino people?
in the society and in terms of politics?
b. How do people differ in a society?
C. Presenting examples/ instances
of the new lesson
After the discussion, the leader of the group will discuss in front
what they have discussed. Each leader will be given 2 minutes to
present the group’s collective ideas.
A group presenter will explain the presentation of each group. Two (2)
minutes will be allotted for each presentation.

Each learner will be tasked to write a reflection paper about the
culture of the Filipino people and how they differ from one another.
H. Making generalizations and
abstractions about the lesson
Big Question: In your own words, what do you think is the
importance of studying culture, society and politics? Explain.
Identify the different theories and sources of social change and
explain political identities.
I. Evaluating Learning Each learner will be tasked to write a reflection paper of their
understanding and acknowledgement of cultural variations, social
differences and political identities according to a set of rubrics.

Stem 1- stem 5 Semester 1st Session 1 Session 2 I. OBJECTIVES Objectives must be met over the week and connected to the curriculum standards. To meet the objectives, necessary procedures must be followed and if needed additional lessons, exercises and remedial activities may be done for developing content knowledge and competencies. These are assessed using Formative Assessment strategies. Valuing objectives support the learning of content and competencies and enable children to find significance and joy in learning the lessons. Weekly objectives shall be derived from the curriculum guides. A. Content Standards The learner demonstrates understanding of : 1. Human cultural variation, social differences, social change, and political identities. 2. The significance of studying culture, society and politics. B. Performance Standards The learners:  Acknowledge human cultural variation, social differences, social change and political identities.  Adopt an open and critical attitude toward different social, political, and cultural phenomena through observation and reflection. C. Learning Competencies/ Objectives Write the LC code for each At the end of the lesson, the learners should be able to: a. It pertains to the subject matter that the teacher aims to teach in the CG, the content can be tackled in a week or two. Varied sources of materials sustain children’s interest in the lesson and in learning. Ensure that there is a mix of concrete and manipulative materials as well as paper based materials.   • 2. Page 2 of 4 IV. PROCEDURES These steps should be done across the week. Spread out the activities appropriately so that students will learn well. Always be guided by demonstration of learning by the students which you can infer from formative assessment activities. Sustain learning systematically by providing students with multiple ways to learn new things, practice their learning, question their learning process and draw conclusions about what they learned in relation to their life experiences and previous knowledge. Indicate the time allotment for each step. A. Reviewing previous lesson or presenting the new lesson The learners will be grouped into four and will be tasked to unscramble the word to be given by the teacher. Three rambled words will be given and learners will have to unscramble each word for one (1) minute. After arranging the letters the group leader or representative will go in front to write their answers on the board. 1 point will be given to the group who will be able to give the correct answer. The group with the highest score will be declared the winner.  SOCIETY  CULTURE  GENDER  POLITICS  ETHNICITY  RELIGION The teacher shall show the learners different pictures downloaded from the internet that depict the different culture of people around the world. The teacher selects a student to give his/her insight about the picture. B. Establishing a purpose for the lesson Sharing of Social and Cultural Backgrounds Learners will be grouped into four (4). Each group will be given ten (10) minutes to discuss their observations about their social and cultural backgrounds which include gender, socio-economic class, ethnicity, religion, nationality and politics. They shall be guided by the following questions. a) What influences gender, socio-economic class, ethnicity, religion and nationality of a person? politics? b) How do people act according to the given subjects? Role Playing Learners will be grouped into four (4). Each group will be given ten (10) minutes to discuss their strategies on doing a role play. They shall demonstrate curiosity and openness on the different dynamics of culture and society and political identities. They shall be guided by the following guiding questions: a. What are the different culture of the Filipino people? in the society and in terms of politics? b. How do people differ in a society? C. Presenting examples/ instances of the new lesson After the discussion, the leader of the group will discuss in front what they have discussed. Each leader will be given 2 minutes to present the group’s collective ideas. A group presenter will explain the presentation of each group. Two (2) minutes will be allotted for each presentation. D. Each learner will be tasked to write a reflection paper about the culture of the Filipino people and how they differ from one another. H. Making generalizations and abstractions about the lesson Big Question: In your own words, what do you think is the importance of studying culture, society and politics? Explain. Identify the different theories and sources of social change and explain political identities. I. Evaluating Learning Each learner will be tasked to write a reflection paper of their understanding and acknowledgement of cultural variations, social differences and political identities according to a set of rubrics. TRUE or FALSE (10 items) J. Additional Activities for application or remediation Tell students to deepen their understanding about culture, society and politics by watching videos from YouTube or television news and write an observation of the video or television news they have watched in a ½ sheet of pad paper and research also for the following: 1. Dimensions of Culture 2. Social Change 3. Social Differences Tell students to deepen their understanding about dynamics of culture, society and politics by watching videos from YouTube or television news and write an observation of the video or television news they have watched in a ½ sheet of pad paper and research also for the following: 1. Important ways on how societies change 2. Theories of Social Change 3. Sources of Social Change V. REMARKS VI. REFLECTION Reflect on your teaching and assess yourself as a teacher. Think about your students’ progress this week. What works? What else needs to be done to help the students learn?
