2. Progressive lens candidates
The best candidates include:
• Previous progressive lens wearer
• Emerging presbyopes with relatively low add power
• Individuals highly motivated to wear progressives.
Candidates that may require consideration
include:
• Previous wide segment bifocal
• Individuals with significant occulomotor
imbalance.

3. Fitting progressive lenses
When fitting progressive lenses, use the following
procedure:
1.Select the frame
2.pre-adjust the frame
3.Measure the fitting height
4.Measure the distance PDs.
5.Verify cut-out
6.Take free form measurements

4. 1.Select the Frame
• Select a well-fitting frame that maintains it’s
adjustment
• Frames with adjustable nose pad(guard )arms will
allow for small fitting height correlations later
• Large aviator-like styles will expose the wearer to
regions of distortions that serve no visual purpose.
• For most general purpose progressive lenses, a
minimum depth of 25-30 mm is recorded.
