This document discusses the Joint Operations Control Centre (JOCC) and its role in disaster management. The JOCC standardizes reporting protocols, improves coordination between parties via radio and mobile phone, and streamlines communication during disasters managed from a central location. It is responsible for ensuring off-site operations continue normally and keeping relevant parties informed of incident progress. The JOCC works closely with the on-site Forward Command Post, which coordinates between parties and the JOCC. Other on-site areas discussed include the vehicle staging area, triage area, patient transport area, and deceased area.
