1. Provide assistance to aircraft in
distress in its territory
To permit the owner of the
aircraft or State to take such
measures of assistance as may
be necessitated by the
circumstances
2. The state in which the accident
occurs will institute an inquiry into
the circumstances of the accident
State in which Aircraft is registered
be given opportunity to appoint
observer to be present at the inquiry
Communicate the report & findings
to that State
3. Shall not entail any seizure & detention of
the aircraft on the ground of patent,design
or model
No deposit of security be required for
exemption from seizure or detention
Above provision is also applicable to the
storage of spare parts and spare equipment
of the aircraft
Benefits of this article is applicable to the
parties of Int’l Conv. for Protection of IP or
have enacted Patent Laws
4. Provide airports, radio services,
meteorological services & other Air
Navigation Facilities
Adopt & put into operation the appropriate
standard systems of communications
procedure, codes,markings,signals, lighting &
other operational practices & rules
Collaborate in international measures to
secure publication of aeronautical maps &
charts
5. Every Aircraft shall carry
- Certificate of Registration
- Certificate of Airworthiness
- Licenses for Each Member of Crew
- Journey Log Book
- Equipment of Radio Apparatus
- Names & Place of Embarkation & destination
of Passengers
- In case Cargo, Declaration about the Cargo
6. May carry radio transmitting apparatus
subject to license of registering country
Use of Radio Equipments be in accordance
with the regulations of the State whose
territory is flown over
Radio apparatus may be used by Crews
having License from Registering Country
7. Every Aircraft shall have a
certificate of airworthiness from
State where it is registered
contracting state reserves right
to refuse to recognize
certificate of competency &
license
8. Certificates of airworthiness & competency
issued by aircraft registering country shall be
recognized by other contracting states
9. Maintain a Journey Log Books
