This case report describes a laparoscopic repair of a diaphragmatic hernia in an 86-year-old female patient, demonstrating the feasibility of this surgical approach in elderly patients. The patient presented with respiratory and gastrointestinal symptoms due to a large hiatal hernia containing the stomach and colon, which required a combined procedure including a hill fundoplication due to severe reflux. The report emphasizes the effectiveness of laparoscopic surgery in the diagnosis and treatment of symptomatic diaphragmatic hernias in adults.
