Re: A Challenging Position of Senior Project Manager
I am writing to express my keen interest in a challenging and exciting opportunity to provide necessary
leadership to lead, plan, manage and coordinate a position in a Senior Project Manager/Consultant’s
capacity. Recently, I have taken an exit package after 35 years of service as a, Senior Project Management
Specialist with the Ontario Government of Canada.
In my Senior Project Management Specialist role, I provided Project & Business Management expertise and
consultative advice to client ministries using a range of project management principles, methodologies,
business and operational techniques. I am proficient in managing all human resources activities for functional
and operational staff by directing, coordinating and controlling the implementation and consistent
application of financial policies, procedures and practices.
Previously, I have managed and lead the Information Management Solution (IMS) units where I managed the
enterprise wide projects, finance and business activities and processes. In addition, as a Senior Manager, I
planned, directed, administered, monitored and evaluated the operations of the unit by expenditure control,
analyzed financial trends and revenue, budgets, ensuring all financial and general administration processes
are in compliance with corporate, ministry and legal requirements.
I am proficient in business process engineering, re-engineering and change management principles to plan,
implement, monitor and evaluate business process.
I am experienced in applying human resources policies and practices and collective agreements to manage
staff and utilize my proven experience in negotiating and resolving sensitive issues and provide advice,
present recommendations, respond to the media, general public, other ministries and all levels of
management.
I am a Project Management Professional (PMP) certified who possess excellent oral and written
communication skills with strong customer service orientation by practicing, building and maintaining
effective working relationships with staff and stakeholders through negotiation and consultation skills.
