Body I will consume various drinks over a day time span. After each drink I will then wait for about
10 15 seconds for the drinks to be in my system completely, and then I will take a single pH testing
strip that I will get at my local pharmacy and place a sample of my saliva into a spoon and dip the
testing strip into it. The strip should immediately change colors or stay the same depending on the pH
balance. I will then retrieve the color indicator from the testing strip box to see what my current pH is
and record my discoveries. If the color meter indicates that my saliva is over the neutral mark of 7.0 I
am opt to indulged less in the consumption of alcoholic beverages, caffeine, coffee (decaffeinated and
caffeinated), and soft drinks. This doesn t mean cut them completely out of my diet but reduce them
slowly out of my diet, over time. After I see my pH reading I can then have a mind to increase the

The movie, In the Bedroom, and in the story, Killings, both type of media have very different tones.
The differences between the two tones initiates from the beginning of the movie and the story. The
movie, begins with a happier tone than the original story, where the tone originates from the funeral
scene. Within the book, Dubus uses foreshadowing that helps create the tone that suggests to the
reader something is coming. However, in contrast, the director of In the Bedroom, Todd Field, Field
started the movie with a happy and calm scene which usually implies a happy story, but later
devastates the audience with a series of killings. In the Killings, Dubus used foreshadowing
throughout the story to show the anger and the grief the family endured after Frank s murder. Dubus
decided to begin the story with Frank s funeral and the family s emotions and thoughts about Frank s
murderer, Richard Stout. Dubus showed the intensity of the family s hatred by adding quotes from the
family, such as; I should kill him. (1175). The author added several quotes like this, that described and
