Telecommunications operators are facing significant challenges with customer satisfaction as evidenced by a negative net promoter score (NPS) across the industry and a high willingness among consumers to switch to digital-only providers like Google or Facebook. Despite some smaller operators achieving high satisfaction through digital-focused models, the majority of mobile operators have not adapted to consumer preferences for digital channels, resulting in a looming threat from tech giants. The findings highlight the critical need for telcos to accelerate their digitization efforts to improve customer experience and retain consumers.
