Digital Classroom Application

My vision of a digital classroom is one where a teacher uses online
resources, online curricula to teach the learners of the 21st century,
in addition to the hardware components that allow for the
educational software to be applied into everyday teachings. As a
teacher that promotes the use of technology and web 2.0 tools, I
would like for my students to have access to electronic tablets or I
pads, I pods and mini laptops. There are many interactive
applications available for free downloading that would serve as
independent practice and offer immediate feedback versus the
traditional paper and pencil approach. As well as implementing
online tools, I would like an interactive whiteboard to allow for
teacher examples, modeling and demonstrations. Dymo Mimio
Studio offers a wide array of interactive templates that can be
integrated in lessons as well as offering whiteboard capabilities
through the remote use of a single electronic pen.

I would like my vision to become a reality so that my student will
be well prepared for problem solving through the utilization of
technology. The world we live in heavily relies on the
conveniences that technology has to offer. I want my students to
be exposed to as much technology as possible and for them to take
advantage of all the positive qualities available. In order for this
to be possible, they have to have access to technology at an early
age and be expected to apply what is learned into projects as they
continue through their educational journey with HCISD. Our
future relies on our students.
