A digital audio workstation (D.A.W.) is an
electronic device or computer software
application for recording, editing and
producing audio files

An integrated DAW consists of a mixing console,
control surface, audio converter, and data
storage in one device.

Complex of computer software including audio
editor and additional modules of sound
processing (plug-ins).

• Transport controls (play, stop, pause, record, etc.)
