A Mustard Seed As A Physician Assistant
A mustard seed. It may seem very small and unimportant, but it has big significance in my desire to
become a physician assistant. Mustard seeds have popped up all along my PA journey so far, and they
sum up the why of my dream career.
While shadowing physician assistants, I volunteered at The Mustard Seed Medical Missions, a
nonprofit organization that provides medical care to those with financial hardships. My first day there
I got to meet the staff who made it all happen the two women who worked the front desk who
answered phones and organized patient files, the nurse who manually took blood pressure and did a
review of why the patient was attending, the phlebotomist who took blood in even the smallest of
veins to run labs, the translator ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I learned something new. The context of the story is someone asking Jesus to heal a boy that was
suffering from seizures and wanting to be cured. I couldn t help not to smile to myself because, yet
again, this verse inspired me. Several of my family members actually suffer from seizure disorder, and
I realize how each family member deals with day to day struggles differently due to seizures.
Medicine helps them live seizure free lives, and paying attention to rest, diet, and stress (something we
all have learned to do) helps keep them moving

Euro Disneyland
Euro Disney is a one of the largest companies in Europe. It operates several business entities in the
region among them the Disneyland Resort Paris. The site comprises of several components such as the
discovery land, fantasyland, adventure land, frontier land and main street USA. The company also
encompasses of a 27 hole golf course, Disney village, 68 restaurants, seven hotels, two convention

Power/distance (PD); this dimension is concerned with the degree of prevailing inequality. It can be
said to be low or high. It is acceptable among people with or without power. A high PD prevails when
the score reveals that the people understand their places in the society and accepts the unequal
distribution of power. On the other hand a low PD is said to prevail when the score shows that equality
exists among the members of the society. With reference to the United States and France and the Euro
Disney Company, it is evident that high PD prevails in the French environment while a low PD
prevails in the American environment. The French embraced the centralization system of the affairs of
the company and strong hierarchies. There also existed large gaps in authority and respect in the
French environment. The French system greatly acknowledged the leaders power and preferred
getting information or responses from the top management. On the other hand the United States labor
culture embraced team work and involving of as many people as possible in the decision making
process. The supervisors and the workers are considered almost equal in the work place. It improves
the relation among the employees both the junior and the seniors (Mind tools, 2011). Individualism

Stock Car Auto Racing Economic Analysis
Beginning in 1948, the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR) organized the
sport in almost all of the Southeastern part of the United States. North and South Carolina, Georgia,
Florida, Alabama were among some of the first tracks on which NASCAR competed. With little
change in its relatively small fan base, fifty years later NASCAR began to search for ways to gain
mass appeal.
One of NASCARs most successful attempt to expand its fan base began in the late 90s with the
introduction of additional racetracks in large metropolitan areas, such as Las Vegas, Nevada;
Homestead, Florida; and Fort Worth, Texas. With the amount of revenue being brought by owners of
existing tracks, corporations from all over the United States requested ... Show more content on

In Avondale, Arizona, there is a camping area known as RV City that sits outside of Phoenix
International Raceway nearly 2 miles. Campgrounds to open fields surrounding race tracks provide
fans with a tailgate on race day to a week long tailgate as way to drive fans to the event. One of
NASCAR s biggest challenges is trying to drive the production of new race tracks to other parts of the
United States. Land is scarce for building race tracks because NASCAR needs a specific amount of
land to construct a race track. In the past, many states such as New Jersey, have tried to accommodate
as much land as possible to NASCAR. Officials in New Jersey tried to build a NASCAR race track on
104 acres at the Meadowlands sports complex that is already to many other attractions (Kuhney).
Location is a significant part of the success of a race track, but that also means compromise. For
example, NASCAR had their eyes set on a track close to New York, but had to compromise in New
Jersey due to traffics concerns (Bagli

Why Rebecca Is Not Crazy
No words can describe what goes on in this girl s mind. Some call her deranged, crazy, but others say
she is smart and insane, but you really need to get into the mind of a deranged person. Before she met
her maker, Rebecca was a well rounded girl with a good head on her shoulders. She was smart,
intelligent even a little nerdy, but she had a sweetheart/and would do anything for those of family or
friends. Rebecca does have OCD so she is very picky on some things including everything has to be in
an order. If not she goes a little mad which is normal at least for the normal side of her mind. Rebecca
has what some would say split personality, but she wasn t always like that, in fact, this girl was school
body president, someone who would volunteer at animal shelters and even old folks homes. Then
there is another part of Rebecca that is hidden from most, but her maker brought the darker part out of
her. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
She angers easily when things don t go her way, and she even talks to herself at times which shows
that Rebecca is not exactly in her right mindset. Though she is not crazy in fact Rebecca is smarter
than what most people think of her. She finds violence thrilling and enjoys hurting others to a point,
but she also laughs as well when someone is hurt. Rebecca was molded from her maker calling her his
lil monster, and making her a werewolf knowing she would be a predator. Rebecca doesn t like when
people give her orders and prefers to do things her own way not caring if it effects others around her.
She is only in it for herself, but there is still a good side that want s to do, and sometimes she even
feels guilty for what she does. Though Rebecca just pushes that to the side.. Her maker done damage

Essay about The Fight Against Child Pornography
In recent years, pornography has established itself as perhaps the most controversial topic arising out
of the use of the Internet. The easy availability of this type of sexually explicit material has caused a
panic among government officials, family groups, religious groups and law enforcement bodies and
this panic has been perpetuated in the media.
One of the unique challenges to regulating or settling on the appropriate way to regulate is that there is
no concrete definition of pornography. While law enforcement bodies such as the police, prosecutors
and judges, are accustomed to dealing with issues that are exclusive to the United States, the Internet
is a worldwide community with servers and members coming ... Show more content on

The second real issue is finding a way to regulate and enforce the removal of material that is agreed
upon as being inappropriate for anyone to have on the Internet. I am specifically touching on the issue
of child pornography. While it is illegal in the United States, as it is in many countries, government
and law enforcement officials are having a difficult time catching offenders who post this type of
material. So with this type of problem concerning pornography this issue is not deciding on
appropriate means of regulation, but rather how to enforce the regulation already in place.
It is obvious that for years, the government has been trying to regulate this type of content but has
seen very limited success. Part of the reason for this is because certain regulatory actions intended to
protect only a small group, such as children, should not require the prohibition of material that adults
have access to in other arenas. It is for example, legal for people to rent pornographic movies or buy
nude magazines, so distribution of this type of material on the Internet should not be completely
limited. People shouting out for protection of their 1st Amendment rights have made a good point
when arguing against complete censorship. What seems more feasible is a sort of multi layered
approach to regulate illegal and harmful content on the Net. This would make it possible to form some
sort of insulation for children

3. Environmental Sustainability Adaption After much discussion, it is concluded that environmental
sustainability would be implemented in two categories: company level and individual project level.
Company Level By 2019, Square Enix would strive to attain an ISO 14001:2015. Prior to 2019,
Square Enix will start to maintain an EMS, which will be built on top of our existing Quality
Management System as suggested by Willborn (1998) seen in Figure 7: Adapting EMS based on QMS
(Willborn, 1998). With the EMS, the first internal audit will start by 4th quarter of 2017. Square Enix
will release a Corporate Social Responsibility objective in upcoming months. The time is needed for
our company to address our company stand and consult environmental experts, nevertheless, as
according to Russell (2008) CSR is too big an issue to leave to someone else to address and
recommended both companies and project managers to work harder to influence environmental
sustainability as both are the front line decision makers, consistent with Watson et al. s (2012) call.
Finally, Square Enix will join the global reporting initiative in producing an environmental
transparency report from the beginning of 2017, despite it being not mandatory in Japan. During this
period, all project managers will be sent for ISO14000 training, enabling a better understanding for
ISO 140000 lieu of the implementation. Project Level With the blanket decision in place, project

Fosfomycin Resistance Against Salmonella Species
A group of researchers from Canada have discovered that there is a gene that confines an antibody
from Salmonella. They discovered that this gene is found in broiler chickens. Broiler chickens aren t
used as much for egg production. These chickens are known for being raised on farms and then
butchered for meat. The researchers took their information and published a journal where the
information and research can be found. The gene itself is named fosA7; it got its name because it
carries a high level of resistance to fosfomycin. A common use to fosfomycin is an antibiotic and is
commonly used to help women cure their urinary tract infections. The 7 is fosA7 represents that it is
the seventh of the fosA genes that have been discovered. As of now fosfomycin resistance is limited
against Salmonella species. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Diarra, is a research scientist in Food Safety at Agriculture and Agri Food Canada. Diarra said, The
powerful resistance the fosA7 gene confers is worrisome. It could spread among different Salmonella
species, as well as other bacterial pathogen species, via horizontal gene transfer, due to increased use
of fosfomycin in both clinical and veterinary settings. Thus, vigilant monitoring for the spread of
fosfomycin resistance in bacteria, isolated from humans and animals, is needed. Because of what
Diarra said, many researchers wanted to test to see the strength of the resistance. For the researchers to
test the strength of this gene they had to clone it and place it into the chromosome that was non
antibiotic resistant. The chromosome that they were placing the chromosomes into was Salmonella
Enterica. After reviewing their results, they found that their hypothesis was correct. The gene fosA7 is
responsible for the resistance of fosfomycin. The gene binds to fosfomycin and this is what causes it

Lost And Immerses s Wide Sargasso Sea
Lost and Entrapped in the Wide Sargasso Sea
Jean Rhys s Wide Sargasso Sea, written in 1966, is the deeper insight to one of the underlying
characters in Charlotte Bronte s Jane Eyre. In the novel, we experience the challenges one faces when
having a cultural background and we see the entrapment of characters leading to indignation and
hostility between the servants and their white employers. The enslavement and entrapment of
individuals form many of the relationships throughout Rhys s novel, not only between whites and
blacks, but between family as well. Rhys uses situational irony, symbolism, and foreshadowing to
show the underlying theme of how entrapping others can stimulate intense relationships between
characters.
The oppression ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When people feel entrapped like this, they use names and actions which create harsh relationships
between the different characters. Entrapment is a major feeling slaves feel during this time and the
feeling of entrapment is deeply rooted in the oppression of slavery. Along with the feeling of
entrapment through the oppression caused by slavery, symbolism and foreshadowing is used to help
show the deeper meaning of entrapment. Insects are used to represent entrapment of individuals, A
great many moths and beetles found their way into the room, flew into the candles, and fell dead on
the table cloth. (80) Rochester and Antoinette are in their room when they see the moth s continuous
actions. Even though the fire kills them, they fly into it anyways. Amélie continues to sweep up the
dead ones and then more continue to come. The thing that is killing the moths is what continues to
draw in and intrigue the moths to continue coming back. In the Wide Sargasso Sea, Antoinette keeps
going back to Rochester even though it kills the creole part inside of her, like a trap. The moths and
beetles symbolize the persistence of Antoinette, but also foolishness. Mr. Mason feels trapped, He
made an effort to fly down but his clipped wings failed him and he fell screeching. He was all on fire.
(43) Mr. Mason clips his wings because Antoinette is annoying, trapping him. Antoinette ends up
trapped in the attic of Thornfield but this isn t because she is annoying. When

The Nature of Women Portrayed by Circe and Calypso in The Odyssey
In Homer s composition, The Odyssey, the roles women play are very significant. The best examples
of the true nature of women occur when Odysseus encounters Circe and Calypso. These two
characters illustrate the thoughts and feelings of how women how a woman feels and how they think.
As the quote states, Circe and Calypso illustrate how women really can be crafty, intelligent, sneaky,
disloyal, and cruel. In contrast to battles with men, Cyclops, or animals, sexual battles with women are
sometimes much more difficult to win.
These two female characters are especially enticing to Odysseus because they are goddesses. Though
it is evident that Odysseus longs to return ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This time spent on Circe s island was a test of whether he could resist lust from a goddess, and he
fails. At first it appears as though the only reason Odysseus sleeps with Circe is to regain his
companions, but she easily persuades them to stay. What makes it worse is the fact that Odysseus is
not even the first one ready to go. His men are the ones who urge him to leave: What ails you now? It
is time to think about our own country (Book X, line 472). At a glance, it appears that Odysseus is
merely succumbing to Circe s schemes for reasons related to their health and well being, if we read
between the lines, we soon begin to realize that Odysseus is weak in the voracious hands of lust.
Odysseus arrives on Calypso s island in her cave. At first, it seems like Odysseus doesn t seem much
to mind her taking care of him, but over time it is plainly evident that he is unhappy with her. When
Hermes arrives on Calypso s island to give her the message from Zeus to release Odysseus, he is
bawling on the beach a daylong activity for him. Calypso is holding him with her by force; she has no
companions to help him back to Ithaca, nor has she a ship to send him in. Athena pleads with Zeus to
give Odysseus good fortune,

going back for weeks and even Japanese holidays and local events programmed that will mix
marketing with culture. A clerk can quickly see a customer approaching the cash register, quickly key
in a visual profile and match the profile to the customer purchases. That information helps both the

to read the same data. The store manager will review the information by sales trends and stock out by

Quinceanera It is customary for all Latin American cultures to celebrate a coming of age party for

party), the pastor, and a projection screen that was placed behind the pastor, which was used to display
the words to the songs. The musicians were on the left side in between the stage and the pews, all the
men were different ages. A middle aged man who seemed to be the leader was the keyboardist and
singer, the base player was a young teenage boy who sat on the first bench facing the keyboardist, the
guitarist was an older man who sat in his wheelchair also facing the keyboardist, and the drummer,
another middle aged man, who had his own little tower upstairs where he faced the challenge of
keeping up with the tempo without being able to see the leader. Because there were only a few guests

In Some Manner, It Would Be Strenuous To Realize All Of
In some manner, it would be strenuous to realize all of the goals, such as removing distortions to
international trade and promoting technological innovation and the transfer and dissemination of
technology in the Preamble and other provisions. To be specific, technology transfer was introduced in
article 7 of the TRIPS Agreement. Article 7 stipulates: protection and enforcement of intellectual
property rights should contribute to the promotion of technological innovation and to the transfer and
dissemination of technology. However, the scope and language of this provision are quite vague and
extensive, whereas many formal or informal institutions, such as pre grant disclosure and post grant

Except for the machinery industry, there was little difference regarding willingness to transfer
technology in other industries. Policy transparency, quality of human capital, and market size are very
important factors of FDI, while the degree of IPR protection is only one of them. Failure to work a
patent failure to work a patent might be discussed under the context of article 7 of the TRIPS
Agreement, as Professor Gervais indicates. A number of supporters of the local working requirement
argue if the patentee would be entitled to a territorial legal monopoly, she should to contribute to the
development of the industry in that territory as an act of reciprocity. Nonetheless, K. McCabe explains
the reason why defining the working requirement would be a burden for transnational companies. If
comprehensively every country requires local working as one of the requirements for granting a
patent, then exportation to a new foreign market means to establish a manufacturing facility in the
country. Defining local working as a requirement therefore constitutes an unnecessary burden for a
foreign patentee to build manufacturing facilities in all the signatories of TRIPS who have legislation
as such. For this reason, the grounds for granting compulsory licenses should be limited to countries
with a lower standard of technology

Should Biofuel Be Allowed In Australia
A scientific research that has been undertaken in CSIRO (Commonwealth Scientific Industrial
Research Organisation) and will be the greatest benefit for the society as well as the environment is
biofuel. Biofuel is a liquid fuel that has been derived from other materials such as waste plants and
animal matter; the most commonly extracted type of biofuel is ethanol and biodiesel. As oil supplies
have gone down rapidly, demands for renewable alternatives have become very important. Biofuel
will have a greater impact on our transport future as it is an alternative fossil fuelled based petroleum,
meaning that it will be more sustainable and much more essential as oil supplies decline and is
necessary to in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Biofuel is a scientific research that will

biofuel industry is expected to fuel economic development in poor rural countries, allowing these 3rd

The Case Of Bank Of America Vs. The Deaf
Introduction
Laws against discrimination of any kind are implemented so that each individual is able to have an
equal opportunity at employment. In the case of Bank of America vs. the deaf employee who wanted
an interpreter to work with them, there was an indication of discrimination towards the individual. The
Americans With Disabilities Act of 1990, was applied to prevent these types of acts to happen, and
due to the issues Bank of America had in rebellion of this act, caused the lawsuit by the U.S. Equal
Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).

History and Background USERRA
In conjunction with the ADA of 1990, there is the Uniformed Services Employment and
Reemployment Rights Act of 1994 (USERRA), which protects individuals involved in the military
service. This act helps protect those who are active or inactive, having performed as a member of the
military service, to be able to keep or get employment regardless of the service obligations.
Essentially, this act was created to protect veterans from discrimination acts from organizations and to
go along with the equal opportunity employment execution. This act is supremely important because
of the amount of dedication that is involved from a member of the military service to give their time
and put their life on the line for others citizens of this country. To have this act in place allows those
individuals to be able to have flexibility with their careers in the event they have to leave for
deployment and upon their return as such. This is a law that shows respect and admiration for the
service members and states that they are protected in the event duty calls and they must be called upon
to help defend our country (USERRA, 2012, para. 1 6).

Carol Ann Duffy Valentine
Examine the way Carol Ann Duffy presents relationships in Valentine . Refer to other poems about
relationships in your answer.
This essay will be exploring the use of language and imagery in the poem Valentine by Carol Ann
Duffy to emphasise certain emotions within the text. This poem refers to the dark side of love and
relationships several times, for example; Its fierce kiss will stay on your lips. This creates a different
atmosphere to the stereotypical love poems, which are known for their mention of red roses and satin
hearts. Although the title gives us an impression of a cliché filled poem, as we continue reading, the

The use of the detached word Lethal in the final stanza suggests that this is the core to the emotion of
love, and the surface to the surrounding layers is red roses and satin hearts.
We can compare Valentine to Sonnet 18 written by William Shakespeare and Sonnet 43 by Elizabeth
Barrett Browning. Despite having to perhaps read more deeply into Sonnet 18 to understand its
purpose, we can see from the first line; Shall I compare thee to a summer s day? that it is of a romantic
genre. This line can also be linked to Romeo and Juliet perhaps suggesting that Shakespeare has
emotional attachments to the message he is attempting to articulate, as he uses this motive in more
than one of his pieces. Whilst the opening greets us with a warm welcome and the perception that it
will continue to express a contented vibe, a turning point of But... is introduced. It then goes on to use
immortality as a comparison to relationships, for example; Nor shall Death brag thou wander st in his
shade. This mention of demise can also be associated with the plot of Romeo and Juliet supporting the
point made earlier. Giving the inanimate object of Death a capital letter is a use of personification that
proposes the idea to the reader that death is living, and it is always something to be feared.
Sonnet 43 also grabs the reader s attention with a question that is later answered. The use of the

The Face Of Physician Assisted Suicide Or Pas

29 years old and newly married, Maynard was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer and immediately
underwent a partial craniotomy and partial resection. Her tumor came back much stronger, however,
and in April she was given six months to live. Maynard s only treatment option to slow but not stop
the growth of the tumor was full brain radiation, but she opted against this because of the unavoidable

As of April, 2015, forms of euthanasia and PAS have been legalized in six countries and four US
states (Marker). In North America, the only country where PAS is completely legal currently is
Canada. In a 1995 verdict made by the Canadian Senate (Boudreau and Somerville 1 12):
[t]he court ruled that laws making physician assisted death illegal violated Canadians constitutional
rights in cases where an adult clearly consents to the termination of life and has a grievous and
irremediable medical condition. (Larson)
This decision has been met with a mostly positive response, with statistics showing that more than
four out of every five of the Canadian general public approve of the decision. They attribute this to the
freedom of choice to one s body and medical care that the law modifications permit. Another reason
surrounding this response is that:
[...] it is no longer a crime to commit or attempt to commit suicide [...] why, then, is it a crime to assist

Federal Republic
When looking into the year 2015 and all of the social norms and political moves, I believe that the
United States has a government that is a federal republic. A federal republic is a state in which the
powers of the central government are restricted and in which the component parts for example the
states, colonies, or provinces retain a degree of self government. Ultimate sovereign s power rests with
the voters who chose their governmental representatives. Looking into why I consider the United
States to be a federal republic in 2015 is because many changes in our nation are not decided by just
one group of power and to this present day the United States follows ... Show more content on

power on February 20th of 2015 they introduced a bill revenue called Marijuana Tax Revenue Act of

Omnivores Research Paper
Humans are omnivores, meaning we eat a variety of foods, including meat and plant matter. A quick
glance at your own teeth will give you a sense of the variety of shapes and sizes of teeth an omnivore
can have. Human teeth are not indicative of exactly what you will see in the mouth of all omnivores.
Each omnivore will have teeth that are specifically adapted to the diet these animals consume.
Animals with teeth like humans that use their molars for grinding and their incisors and canines for
ripping or tearing are said to have heterodont dentition. Each tooth is designed for a specific role in
processing the food eaten. Homodont dentition, found in most omnivorous reptiles, occurs when the
teeth are all relatively the same size and shape.

Abstract Power reduction is an major challenge in the integrated circuit design since it degrades the
chip performance the reliability. Frequent transistor switching caused due to large IR voltage drops
gives raise to timing violations and logic failures. A new clock control strategy is been introduced in
this paper such that the simultaneous switching of the combinational paths is minimized. This is
achieved by clustering the delay slacks having similar slack values. Once the paths are identified
based on the path delays and their slack values the clustering algorithm determines the path to clusters
in a load balanced manner based on the slack values and each cluster will have a phase shift possible
on its clock depending on the slack.
INTRODUCTION
Low power has emerged as a major goal in today s electronics industry. The motivations for reducing
power consumption differ from application to application. For high performance, portable computers,
such as laptop and notebook computers, the goal is to reduce the power dissipation of the electronics
portion of the system to a point that is about half of the total power dissipation (including that of
display and hard disk).

Landscaping Ideas
Coming home to a resort style garden is like being on vacation every day of the year. Outdoor areas
are often the last to receive design attention, but they shouldn t be: What surrounds your home is just
as important as what s in it. Well designed landscaping ideas can complement your home s
architectural design, and the right plants and flowers can greatly enhance your curb appeal by adding
color, texture and even fragrance to your yard.
Foliage and Trees
For the most part, tropical gardens rely on foliage rather than flowers to create interest year round.
Combine lively and colorful easy care plants that wont triple your water bill and plant them in groups
of odd numbers (three, five, seven, etc.) to create a broad stroke of color and texture.

The Effects Of Tactile Communication On The Human Resource...
One type of nonverbal communication is haptics. Haptics refers to the study of communication by
touch (Anonymous, 2012). According to Anonymous, 2012, touch is necessary for human social
development, and it can be welcoming, threatening, or persuasive. The meaning of a simple touch
differs between individuals, genders, and cultures. It is important for the Human Resource Manager
(HRM) to recognize these differences in order to improve communication and be effective in the
workplace. Tactile communication can help or hinder business and employee interactions. A firm
handshake might be interpreted as confidence or credibility while other physical touches such as
lingering touch on the shoulder, might be seen as being intimate (Anonymous, 2012). However, a pat
on the shoulder or arm might help initiate interactions and show inclusion and respect. Proper
knowledge of tactile differences among employees have important implications on how interactions
unfold and relationships established.
The implications of tactile communication or touch is important to know not only as a HRM but as an
employee working in a diverse workplace.
Since we communicate a great deal through touch, there are benefits by being knowledgeable about
this type of nonverbal communication and the differences among various ethnic groups. Benefits for
the HRM as well as managers include respect, trust, an effective communicator, and better employee
relationships. Additionally, understanding haptics enables

Summary Of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia
Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) is a profound disease that involves an overproduction of
immature myeloid and lymphoid cells. Hematopoiesis is a process where Hemocytoblast stem cells
differentiate into a range of progenitor cells. Part of the developmental process for these progenitor
cells occurs in the spleen, liver and lymph nodes. In ALL, clonal cells then take up space within the
blood stream, causing the percentage of normal blood constituents to be out of balance. For example,
less erythrocytes are made, putting the suffer at risk of being anemic which has further risks associated
with it. It can be determined that you have ALL from a blood test, chromosome analysis or a bone
marrow sample. For a blood test, then a complete blood

An Investigation Based On The Arrhenius Law
INTRODUCTION
This investigation is based on the Arrhenius law, A formula created by Professor Svante Arrhenius that
combines the Boltzmann distribution law with the concept of activation energy (Stephen Lower
2011a) to depict one of the most important relationships between temperature and rate of reaction in
chemistry to date. In the formula,
K = e ≈ 2.71828
A = Arrhenius constant = Activation Energy
RT = Average kinetic energy (Universal gas constant × Temperature in Kelvins) In this experiment, the
main focus is placed on the Arrhenius plot, which is derived through the manipulation of the Arrhenius
equation to remove its exponential form by taking the natural log of both sides of the equation which
forms lnk=lnA E_A/RT A ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This topic appealed to me, as it seemed like a sound concept in theory, but could not find any
discussion based on using the Arrhenius plot for physical processes.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
2.1 Sublimation; an endothermic process
Sublimation is the term describing the transition of a substance from the solid phase to the gas phase
without passing through an intermediary liquid phase. (Anne Marie Helmenstine 2014a) It is a
physical change of state, which occurs at temperatures and pressures below the triple point of the
substance, the point where the temperature and pressure causes the 3 phases: solid, liquid and vapour,
of a single component system to be in equilibrium. (Blackwell Scientific Publications Oxford 1997)
This definition shows that sublimation is a purely physical process; so a substance does not undergo a
chemical reaction during sublimation.
This diagram represents a typical endothermic reaction: Fig. 2: Endothermic reaction enthalpy change
(hferrier n.d.)
As displayed in figure 2, a substance requires kinetic energy greater or equal to its activation energy in
order for it to change from its initial form to its product. The activation energy shown is one of the
pathways that a reaction takes with respect to the pressure that it is subjected to. Consider that for a
substance to change from its solid phase to its gas phase the bonds are all fixed in a position and when
the particles have enough energy, they are able to

Abercrombie And Fitch Case Analysis
Introduction
According to Keyton, organizational culture is the set of artifacts, values, and assumptions that
emerges from the interactions of organizational members (Keyton, 2014, p. 550). Over the past few
years, past and potential employees of the clothing brand Abercrombie Fitch (A F) have taken to the
media to explain the negative organizational culture that exists within the company. The management
values and company policies that create this image obsessed culture have led to multiple human rights
lawsuits, which has damaged the reputation of Abercrombie Fitch globally (Benson, 2013).
Statement of the Problem

Jefferies was successful in his pursuit and as a result, his exclusionary sentiment permeated the
workplace culture of the organization at every level; from the sprawling 300 acre headquarters in the
woods of Ohio to each individual retail outlet. At the heart of this culture was the Looks Policy , an
unforgiving guide to how employees should present themselves at work. This policy governed every
aspect of an employee s appearance from the number of times they rolled the cuffs of their jeans to the
tone of their skin, which was preferably sun kissed . Not only did this policy contribute to a negative
work environment where employees felt they were constantly being evaluated on the basis of their
physical attributes alone, but it also led to human rights violations wherein job applicants were denied
employment on the basis of their race and/or religion. In a 2004 class action lawsuit filed against the
retail giant, several thousands of former A F employees alleged the company discriminated against
African Americans, Latinos, and Asian Americans in its hiring practices as well as its advertisements.
The claimants also purported that non white employees were frequently relegated to the back of store
tasks where they would not be visible to store patrons. A F settled the lawsuit out of

you. These two stories are much alike because of the crazy imagination the characters in it have. In the
The Tell Tale Heart by Edgar Allen poe the young man killed the older man, because he had a point of
motivation. His point of motivation was in the beginning, it was the old man s eye. A pale blue eye,
with a thick film over it. The young man felt as if the eye was constantly watching him. He wanted to
get rid of it. His imagination got the best of him. I placed my hand upon the heart and held it there
many minutes. There was no pulsation. This sentence explains how the young man killed the old man.
He wanted the eye to be gone so his mind was telling him the only way to get rid of it was to kill the

Energy Star Research Paper
The Energy Star program estimate that most people could save money on their AC bills by ridding
their home of air leaks. Most older houses have large and small cracks in the foundation, roof and
walls. These cracks could be small or gaping holes. Most people might only notice large holes, but
some cracks cannot be seen without a magnifying glass.
After locating the air leaks, the technician will seal the cracks with a caulk or foam. An HVAC
technician can find leaks with a blower and infrared cameras. A blower is a large fan that is installed in
the doorway, and the fan has a device that can measure the amount of air flowing through the home.
An infrared camera can expose air leaks. The camera uses the colors blue and red to indicate hot ...

When the garage door is closed, there should not be any openings around the sides, bottom or top of
the garage door. The technician can apply PVC molding to the cracks. The molding will seal the gap
between the door and the frame.
If the garage has an uneven floor, the technician can apply a brush seal. It will prevent dirt and water
from penetrating the floor. The most durable seals are made from nylon and aluminum.
Weather stripping can keep your garage warm during the winter months and cool during the summer
months. Since your garage will be warmer, you will not have to waste time waiting for your car to
heat up.
It is going to be a hot and long summer, and your air conditioner will be forced to work hard if your
home is not properly insulated. When an HVAC technician finishes weather stripping your windows
and doors, you will save money on your AC bills. Do not wait until the summer to take action. You
can start saving money on your electric bills today. An experienced HVAC technician can help you
reduce your energy consumption and lower your carbon footprint. You will be amazed by how much
money you save every month.

At the old age of 89, Michelangelo died. Another magnificent artist, who was inspired by
Michelangelo, was Raphael.
On April 6, 1483, in the town of Urbino Italy, the greatest and most popular artist of all time would be
born, and he would be given the name of Raphael. In Raphael s early years, he became inspired by his
father, the painter Giovanni Santi, and began painting at an early age. At the age of 22, and in search
of new painting techniques, Raphael began studying some of the famous artists of his day such as
Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo. After years of studying, and observing Leonardo and
Michelangelo s art, Raphael developed his own techniques for lighting and shading and produced a
new informal manner of painting. During the premature developments of these new techniques,
Raphael tested his skill by painting various quot;Madonna quot; paintings such as Madonna of the
Goldfinch and Madonna del Baldacchino. Once these techniques were perfected around 1508,
Raphael was sent to Rome to decorate four rooms of the Vatican Palace with scenic frescoes. These
four rooms contain some of Raphael s finest work, such as the magnificent fresco The School of
Athens which depicts an open building scene in which Plato, Aristotle, and other ancient philosophers
are in deep contemplation and conversation. In addition to Raphael s Vatican Palace

  • 2. A Mustard Seed As A Physician Assistant A mustard seed. It may seem very small and unimportant, but it has big significance in my desire to become a physician assistant. Mustard seeds have popped up all along my PA journey so far, and they sum up the why of my dream career. While shadowing physician assistants, I volunteered at The Mustard Seed Medical Missions, a nonprofit organization that provides medical care to those with financial hardships. My first day there I got to meet the staff who made it all happen the two women who worked the front desk who answered phones and organized patient files, the nurse who manually took blood pressure and did a review of why the patient was attending, the phlebotomist who took blood in even the smallest of veins to run labs, the translator ... Power/distance (PD); this dimension is concerned with the degree of prevailing inequality. It can be said to be low or high. It is acceptable among people with or without power. A high PD prevails when the score reveals that the people understand their places in the society and accepts the unequal distribution of power. On the other hand a low PD is said to prevail when the score shows that equality exists among the members of the society. With reference to the United States and France and the Euro Disney Company, it is evident that high PD prevails in the French environment while a low PD prevails in the American environment. The French embraced the centralization system of the affairs of the company and strong hierarchies. There also existed large gaps in authority and respect in the French environment. The French system greatly acknowledged the leaders power and preferred getting information or responses from the top management. On the other hand the United States labor culture embraced team work and involving of as many people as possible in the decision making process. The supervisors and the workers are considered almost equal in the work place. It improves the relation among the employees both the junior and the seniors (Mind tools, 2011). • 5. Stock Car Auto Racing Economic Analysis Beginning in 1948, the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR) organized the sport in almost all of the Southeastern part of the United States. North and South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama were among some of the first tracks on which NASCAR competed. With little change in its relatively small fan base, fifty years later NASCAR began to search for ways to gain mass appeal. One of NASCARs most successful attempt to expand its fan base began in the late 90s with the introduction of additional racetracks in large metropolitan areas, such as Las Vegas, Nevada; Homestead, Florida; and Fort Worth, Texas. With the amount of revenue being brought by owners of existing tracks, corporations from all over the United States requested ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In Avondale, Arizona, there is a camping area known as RV City that sits outside of Phoenix International Raceway nearly 2 miles. Campgrounds to open fields surrounding race tracks provide fans with a tailgate on race day to a week long tailgate as way to drive fans to the event. One of NASCAR s biggest challenges is trying to drive the production of new race tracks to other parts of the United States. Land is scarce for building race tracks because NASCAR needs a specific amount of land to construct a race track. In the past, many states such as New Jersey, have tried to accommodate as much land as possible to NASCAR. Officials in New Jersey tried to build a NASCAR race track on 104 acres at the Meadowlands sports complex that is already to many other attractions (Kuhney). • 6. Why Rebecca Is Not Crazy No words can describe what goes on in this girl s mind. Some call her deranged, crazy, but others say she is smart and insane, but you really need to get into the mind of a deranged person. Before she met her maker, Rebecca was a well rounded girl with a good head on her shoulders. She was smart, intelligent even a little nerdy, but she had a sweetheart/and would do anything for those of family or friends. Rebecca does have OCD so she is very picky on some things including everything has to be in an order. If not she goes a little mad which is normal at least for the normal side of her mind. Rebecca has what some would say split personality, but she wasn t always like that, in fact, this girl was school body president, someone who would volunteer at animal shelters and even old folks homes. Then there is another part of Rebecca that is hidden from most, but her maker brought the darker part out of her. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Rebecca was molded from her maker calling her his lil monster, and making her a werewolf knowing she would be a predator. Rebecca doesn t like when people give her orders and prefers to do things her own way not caring if it effects others around her. • 7. Essay about The Fight Against Child Pornography In recent years, pornography has established itself as perhaps the most controversial topic arising out of the use of the Internet. The easy availability of this type of sexually explicit material has caused a panic among government officials, family groups, religious groups and law enforcement bodies and this panic has been perpetuated in the media. One of the unique challenges to regulating or settling on the appropriate way to regulate is that there is no concrete definition of pornography. While law enforcement bodies such as the police, prosecutors and judges, are accustomed to dealing with issues that are exclusive to the United States, the Internet is a worldwide community with servers and members coming ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The second real issue is finding a way to regulate and enforce the removal of material that is agreed upon as being inappropriate for anyone to have on the Internet. I am specifically touching on the issue of child pornography. While it is illegal in the United States, as it is in many countries, government and law enforcement officials are having a difficult time catching offenders who post this type of material. So with this type of problem concerning pornography this issue is not deciding on appropriate means of regulation, but rather how to enforce the regulation already in place. It is obvious that for years, the government has been trying to regulate this type of content but has seen very limited success. Part of the reason for this is because certain regulatory actions intended to protect only a small group, such as children, should not require the prohibition of material that adults have access to in other arenas. It is for example, legal for people to rent pornographic movies or buy nude magazines, so distribution of this type of material on the Internet should not be completely limited. People shouting out for protection of their 1st Amendment rights have made a good point when arguing against complete censorship. What seems more feasible is a sort of multi layered approach to regulate illegal and harmful content on the Net. This would make it possible to form some sort of insulation for children ... Environmental Sustainability Adaption After much discussion, it is concluded that environmental sustainability would be implemented in two categories: company level and individual project level. Company Level By 2019, Square Enix would strive to attain an ISO 14001:2015. Prior to 2019, Square Enix will start to maintain an EMS, which will be built on top of our existing Quality Management System as suggested by Willborn (1998) seen in Figure 7: Adapting EMS based on QMS (Willborn, 1998). With the EMS, the first internal audit will start by 4th quarter of 2017. Square Enix will release a Corporate Social Responsibility objective in upcoming months. The time is needed for our company to address our company stand and consult environmental experts, nevertheless, as according to Russell (2008) CSR is too big an issue to leave to someone else to address and recommended both companies and project managers to work harder to influence environmental sustainability as both are the front line decision makers, consistent with Watson et al. s (2012) call. Finally, Square Enix will join the global reporting initiative in producing an environmental transparency report from the beginning of 2017, despite it being not mandatory in Japan. During this period, all project managers will be sent for ISO14000 training, enabling a better understanding for ISO 140000 lieu of the implementation. • 9. Fosfomycin Resistance Against Salmonella Species A group of researchers from Canada have discovered that there is a gene that confines an antibody from Salmonella. They discovered that this gene is found in broiler chickens. Broiler chickens aren t used as much for egg production. These chickens are known for being raised on farms and then butchered for meat. The researchers took their information and published a journal where the information and research can be found. The gene itself is named fosA7; it got its name because it carries a high level of resistance to fosfomycin. A common use to fosfomycin is an antibiotic and is commonly used to help women cure their urinary tract infections. The 7 is fosA7 represents that it is the seventh of the fosA genes that have been discovered. As of now fosfomycin resistance is limited against Salmonella species. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Diarra, is a research scientist in Food Safety at Agriculture and Agri Food Canada. Diarra said, The powerful resistance the fosA7 gene confers is worrisome. It could spread among different Salmonella species, as well as other bacterial pathogen species, via horizontal gene transfer, due to increased use of fosfomycin in both clinical and veterinary settings. Thus, vigilant monitoring for the spread of fosfomycin resistance in bacteria, isolated from humans and animals, is needed. Because of what Diarra said, many researchers wanted to test to see the strength of the resistance. For the researchers to test the strength of this gene they had to clone it and place it into the chromosome that was non antibiotic resistant. The chromosome that they were placing the chromosomes into was Salmonella Enterica. After reviewing their results, they found that their hypothesis was correct. These two characters illustrate the thoughts and feelings of how women how a woman feels and how they think. As the quote states, Circe and Calypso illustrate how women really can be crafty, intelligent, sneaky, disloyal, and cruel. It is time to think about our own country (Book X, line 472). At a glance, it appears that Odysseus is merely succumbing to Circe s schemes for reasons related to their health and well being, if we read between the lines, we soon begin to realize that Odysseus is weak in the voracious hands of lust. Odysseus arrives on Calypso s island in her cave. At first, it seems like Odysseus doesn t seem much to mind her taking care of him, but over time it is plainly evident that he is unhappy with her. To be specific, technology transfer was introduced in article 7 of the TRIPS Agreement. Article 7 stipulates: protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights should contribute to the promotion of technological innovation and to the transfer and dissemination of technology. Policy transparency, quality of human capital, and market size are very important factors of FDI, while the degree of IPR protection is only one of them. Failure to work a patent failure to work a patent might be discussed under the context of article 7 of the TRIPS Agreement, as Professor Gervais indicates. A number of supporters of the local working requirement argue if the patentee would be entitled to a territorial legal monopoly, she should to contribute to the development of the industry in that territory as an act of reciprocity. Nonetheless, K. McCabe explains the reason why defining the working requirement would be a burden for transnational companies. If comprehensively every country requires local working as one of the requirements for granting a patent, then exportation to a new foreign market means to establish a manufacturing facility in the country. Defining local working as a requirement therefore constitutes an unnecessary burden for a foreign patentee to build manufacturing facilities in all the signatories of TRIPS who have legislation as such. For this reason, the grounds for granting compulsory licenses should be limited to countries with a lower standard of technology ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In the case of Bank of America vs. the deaf employee who wanted an interpreter to work with them, there was an indication of discrimination towards the individual. The Americans With Disabilities Act of 1990, was applied to prevent these types of acts to happen, and due to the issues Bank of America had in rebellion of this act, caused the lawsuit by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). This act helps protect those who are active or inactive, having performed as a member of the military service, to be able to keep or get employment regardless of the service obligations. Essentially, this act was created to protect veterans from discrimination acts from organizations and to go along with the equal opportunity employment execution. This act is supremely important because of the amount of dedication that is involved from a member of the military service to give their time and put their life on the line for others citizens of this country. To have this act in place allows those individuals to be able to have flexibility with their careers in the event they have to leave for deployment and upon their return as such. This is a law that shows respect and admiration for the service members and states that they are protected in the event duty calls and they must be called upon to help defend our country (USERRA, 2012, para. 1 6). This essay will be exploring the use of language and imagery in the poem Valentine by Carol Ann Duffy to emphasise certain emotions within the text. This poem refers to the dark side of love and relationships several times, for example; Its fierce kiss will stay on your lips. This creates a different atmosphere to the stereotypical love poems, which are known for their mention of red roses and satin hearts. Although the title gives us an impression of a cliché filled poem, as we continue reading, the poem seems like more of a warning than an encouragement to involve oneself in relationships and commitment, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The use of the detached word Lethal in the final stanza suggests that this is the core to the emotion of love, and the surface to the surrounding layers is red roses and satin hearts. We can compare Valentine to Sonnet 18 written by William Shakespeare and Sonnet 43 by Elizabeth Barrett Browning. Despite having to perhaps read more deeply into Sonnet 18 to understand its purpose, we can see from the first line; Shall I compare thee to a summer s day? that it is of a romantic genre. This line can also be linked to Romeo and Juliet perhaps suggesting that Shakespeare has emotional attachments to the message he is attempting to articulate, as he uses this motive in more than one of his pieces. Whilst the opening greets us with a warm welcome and the perception that it will continue to express a contented vibe, a turning point of But... is introduced. It then goes on to use immortality as a comparison to relationships, for example; Nor shall Death brag thou wander st in his shade. This mention of demise can also be associated with the plot of Romeo and Juliet supporting the point made earlier. Giving the inanimate object of Death a capital letter is a use of personification that proposes the idea to the reader that death is living, and it is always something to be feared. Sonnet 43 also grabs the reader s attention with a question that is later answered. The use of the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Frequent transistor switching caused due to large IR voltage drops gives raise to timing violations and logic failures. A new clock control strategy is been introduced in this paper such that the simultaneous switching of the combinational paths is minimized. This is achieved by clustering the delay slacks having similar slack values. Once the paths are identified based on the path delays and their slack values the clustering algorithm determines the path to clusters in a load balanced manner based on the slack values and each cluster will have a phase shift possible on its clock depending on the slack. INTRODUCTION Low power has emerged as a major goal in today s electronics industry. The motivations for reducing power consumption differ from application to application. For high performance, portable computers, such as laptop and notebook computers, the goal is to reduce the power dissipation of the electronics portion of the system to a point that is about half of the total power dissipation (including that of display and hard disk). • 24. The Effects Of Tactile Communication On The Human Resource... One type of nonverbal communication is haptics. Haptics refers to the study of communication by touch (Anonymous, 2012). According to Anonymous, 2012, touch is necessary for human social development, and it can be welcoming, threatening, or persuasive. The meaning of a simple touch differs between individuals, genders, and cultures. It is important for the Human Resource Manager (HRM) to recognize these differences in order to improve communication and be effective in the workplace. Tactile communication can help or hinder business and employee interactions. A firm handshake might be interpreted as confidence or credibility while other physical touches such as lingering touch on the shoulder, might be seen as being intimate (Anonymous, 2012). However, a pat on the shoulder or arm might help initiate interactions and show inclusion and respect. Proper knowledge of tactile differences among employees have important implications on how interactions unfold and relationships established. The implications of tactile communication or touch is important to know not only as a HRM but as an employee working in a diverse workplace. Since we communicate a great deal through touch, there are benefits by being knowledgeable about this type of nonverbal communication and the differences among various ethnic groups. Benefits for the HRM as well as managers include respect, trust, an effective communicator, and better employee relationships. Additionally, understanding haptics enables ... An Investigation Based On The Arrhenius Law INTRODUCTION This investigation is based on the Arrhenius law, A formula created by Professor Svante Arrhenius that combines the Boltzmann distribution law with the concept of activation energy (Stephen Lower 2011a) to depict one of the most important relationships between temperature and rate of reaction in chemistry to date. In the formula, K = e ≈ 2.71828 A = Arrhenius constant = Activation Energy RT = Average kinetic energy (Universal gas constant × Temperature in Kelvins) In this experiment, the main focus is placed on the Arrhenius plot, which is derived through the manipulation of the Arrhenius equation to remove its exponential form by taking the natural log of both sides of the equation which forms lnk=lnA E_A/RT A ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This topic appealed to me, as it seemed like a sound concept in theory, but could not find any discussion based on using the Arrhenius plot for physical processes. BACKGROUND INFORMATION 2.1 Sublimation; an endothermic process Sublimation is the term describing the transition of a substance from the solid phase to the gas phase without passing through an intermediary liquid phase. (Anne Marie Helmenstine 2014a) It is a physical change of state, which occurs at temperatures and pressures below the triple point of the substance, the point where the temperature and pressure causes the 3 phases: solid, liquid and vapour, of a single component system to be in equilibrium. (Blackwell Scientific Publications Oxford 1997) This definition shows that sublimation is a purely physical process; so a substance does not undergo a chemical reaction during sublimation. This diagram represents a typical endothermic reaction: Fig. 2: Endothermic reaction enthalpy change (hferrier n.d.) As displayed in figure 2, a substance requires kinetic energy greater or equal to its activation energy in order for it to change from its initial form to its product. The activation energy shown is one of the pathways that a reaction takes with respect to the pressure that it is subjected to. Consider that for a substance to change from its solid phase to its gas phase the bonds are all fixed in a position and when the particles have enough energy, they are able to ... This policy governed every aspect of an employee s appearance from the number of times they rolled the cuffs of their jeans to the tone of their skin, which was preferably sun kissed . Not only did this policy contribute to a negative work environment where employees felt they were constantly being evaluated on the basis of their physical attributes alone, but it also led to human rights violations wherein job applicants were denied employment on the basis of their race and/or religion. In a 2004 class action lawsuit filed against the retail giant, several thousands of former A F employees alleged the company discriminated against African Americans, Latinos, and Asian Americans in its hiring practices as well as its advertisements.
