Major changes were experienced by European countries
from the 15th to the 18th centuries C.E. The Renaissance
and Reformation movements, the Scientific Revolution,
and the Age of Exploration were pivotal events that
pushed the feudal European societies to new perspectives
on science and religion, and new sources of wealth. Amid
these changes, there were countries that became stronger
while other became weak. This period in history would be
critical for the development of modern countries as we

strengthened. The wealth acquired from their colonies in the
Americas, Africa and Asia helped the king maintain his power.
However, it cannot be said that this happened in all parts of Europe.
The Holy Roman Empire and the Italian states remained
fragmented, and even Poland was divided among powerful
kingdoms. Empires that led different ethnic groups with different
languages and cultures prevailed. The desire of these groups to
build their own country became possible after a significant
revolution that changed the daily lives of the Europeans.
