At the present time extensive varieties of pesticides are being used but the demand for organophosphorus pesticide is
increasing globally to control insect. Chlorpyrifos is a broad spectrum, moderately toxic, chlorinated
organophosphate insecticide that is synthetic in origin and is normally ester or thiol derivatives of phosphoric,
phosphonic or phosphoramidic acids. The mode of action involves inhibiting acetyl cholinesterase leading to
accumulation of acetylcholine causing neurotoxicity. It is being transported by circulation far away from site of
application leading to pollution of environment. Due to its persistent in nature, it is not only severely detrimental to
the target pests, but also causes toxicity in non -target organisms including humans. It is thus critically important to
develop methods to eradicate these pollutants from the environment. Lately, research activities in this area have
demonstrated that microorganisms are potential tool in decaying chlorpyrifos into less harmful and non -toxic
metabolites through a process known as bioremediation. This article therefore aims at giving an overview of the
present status of research and future prospects in bioremediation of chlorpyrifos

AHS13 Tim Gerstmar - It Ain't Your Great-Grandparents World: Environmental To...Ancestral Health Society
Humanity has released approximately 100,000 new chemical compounds into the environment, mostly in the past 100 years. Compounds our bodies have never seen before and weren't designed to deal with. In this talk we will discuss some of the common environmental toxins and how they have been shown to be harmful to human health. We will also discuss: testing methods for quantifying toxicity, how the body detoxifies (the seven organs involved) and provide simple methods audience members can take to reduce their toxic burden, as well as briefly discuss more intensive, physician practices for detoxification for people who need it.
Principles of hygiene refer to conditions or practices which are conducive to the maintenance of health and the prevention of disease through cleanliness.

Medical Technology Tackles New Health Care Demand - Research Report - March 2...pchutichetpong
M Capital Group (“MCG”) predicts that with, against, despite, and even without the global pandemic, the medical technology (MedTech) industry shows signs of continuous healthy growth, driven by smaller, faster, and cheaper devices, growing demand for home-based applications, technological innovation, strategic acquisitions, investments, and SPAC listings. MCG predicts that this should reflects itself in annual growth of over 6%, well beyond 2028.
According to Chris Mouchabhani, Managing Partner at M Capital Group, “Despite all economic scenarios that one may consider, beyond overall economic shocks, medical technology should remain one of the most promising and robust sectors over the short to medium term and well beyond 2028.”
There is a movement towards home-based care for the elderly, next generation scanning and MRI devices, wearable technology, artificial intelligence incorporation, and online connectivity. Experts also see a focus on predictive, preventive, personalized, participatory, and precision medicine, with rising levels of integration of home care and technological innovation.
The average cost of treatment has been rising across the board, creating additional financial burdens to governments, healthcare providers and insurance companies. According to MCG, cost-per-inpatient-stay in the United States alone rose on average annually by over 13% between 2014 to 2021, leading MedTech to focus research efforts on optimized medical equipment at lower price points, whilst emphasizing portability and ease of use. Namely, 46% of the 1,008 medical technology companies in the 2021 MedTech Innovator (“MTI”) database are focusing on prevention, wellness, detection, or diagnosis, signaling a clear push for preventive care to also tackle costs.
In addition, there has also been a lasting impact on consumer and medical demand for home care, supported by the pandemic. Lockdowns, closure of care facilities, and healthcare systems subjected to capacity pressure, accelerated demand away from traditional inpatient care. Now, outpatient care solutions are driving industry production, with nearly 70% of recent diagnostics start-up companies producing products in areas such as ambulatory clinics, at-home care, and self-administered diagnostics.

DETOXIFY (Cleanse) YOUR BODY:
SIMPLIFY THE PROCESS IN UNCOMPLICATED WAYS
2. 2
CONTENTS:
1) What is a toxin?
2) Toxicity in the health arena
3) Examples of toxins/potential toxins
4) Detoxification, toxic diseases
5) How to detox in general
6) Some detox programs to consider for you
7) References
3. 3
A toxin is a substance or form of energy that causes irritation or harm
to the body functions. This will lead to a breakdown in the health
and/or stress the body to the point of serious illness. In the “non-
alternative world” or those institutions like the World Health
Organization or NATO, the word TOXIN refers generally to
“substances” that are recognized as those which will cause
immediate harm or death to living creatures such as venom from
certain species of animals or ricin, a chemical that occurs in the castor
bean that has been used deliberately as a poison. All biological and
chemical warfare are also in the toxic category, having been
recognized for the immediate large-scale devastation in human
history.
WHAT IS A TOXIN?
4. 4
In this discussion, we are referring to the common everyday
exposures that are being RECOGNIZED and either determined to be
harmful or potentially toxic in research and literature throughout the
world. We are not elaborating on such entities as “detox centers”
that involve regulated, structured programs for alcohol and drug
abuse.
While most of the “governing institutions” are lagging behind or
“looking into” the problems that we have been seeing repeatedly in
our lives, it is up to us all to protect ourselves from the onslaught of
what may be some of the worst exposures we have ever seen.
5. 5
In the health/alternative practice arena, we look at the
environment as our means of providing the safest and most
healthful items and “energies” for the preservation and protection
of all living creatures. It is when we change the nature of life and
manipulate it to the point of inevitable peril to the environment,
we see the TOXIC results.
In health terms, TOXICITY occurs when we take in MORE THAN we
need or use and eliminate. If the balance or HOMEOSTASIS of the
body is disturbed, the body reacts in its own way.
6. 6
Some of the most common reactions will include:
Headache, congestion in the sinuses or ears, ringing in the
ears, itching, sneezing, rash formation in one or more body
parts, irritability with anger outbursts, depression, lethargy,
weakness or muscle aches
7. 7
TOXICITY can depend on dosage, potency or frequency of the toxin. The
reaction can be RAPID such as an exposure to chlorine, a pesticide, a drug or
even a traumatic or very stressful event like a BOMBING or ATTACK causing
devastation. More often, we see toxicity from multiple exposures that cause
long-term negative consequences such as exposure to ASBESTOS or
CIGARETTE SMOKE that lead to lung cancer and/or UNNATURAL FOOD
PRODUCTS that we are finding numerous associations with degenerative
diseases.
If the body is working well with all its systems intact, particularly the
IMMUNE system, our daily exposure to toxins is handled such that disease is
prevented. This situation is what we are seeking at ALL times and the
challenges we face daily will continuously test our wonderful bodies.
8. 8
Examples of toxins/potential toxins:
1) Drugs in general that are ingested, inhaled, injected
or applied
2) Caffeine
3) Alcohol
4) Cigarette and other smoking materials
5) Contaminated water, air by industrial or other
pollutants
6) Industrial waste, dumping
9. 9
7) Foods that are highly processed
8) All artificial sweeteners
9) Chlorine, bromine and fluoride
10)Mercury, lead, aluminum and other heavy metals
11)Commercially prepared pesticides and other environmentally
un-friendly chemicals
12)Car exhaust, fumes
13)Aircraft exhaust, fumes
10. 10
14)Radiation exposure through technology: TVs, computers,
diagnostic machinery, medical treatments using radon and
other radioactive materials, other electrical instruments,
microwaves, nuclear plants, excessive sunlight, artificial lights
and more
15)Venom from animals
16)Pathogenic microbes and antibiotic resistant bacteria
And the list goes on with
17) Negative emotions: anger, hatred, belligerence, malevolence
18) Warfare, terrorism
19) Manipulation, abuse, exploitation and torture
12. 12
Due to the many new and stronger chemicals, air and water
pollution, radiation and nuclear power, warfare, terrorism and
other more upon us, it is a much more TOXIC world that we inhabit
and DETOXIFICATION is a greater concern for us all.
Major contributing factors to our toxic world: genetically modified
or other chemically “imbalanced” foods are a regular part of
human consumption. More drugs of all kinds are taken in by a very
large percentage of people. More sugar, more refined foods and
beverages have become the RULE rather than the EXCEPTION
currently.
WHAT IS THE RESULT OF THIS??????
13. 13
TOXIC DISEASES… cancer, heart and cardiovascular disease, arthritis,
allergies, obesity, skin problems, behavioral problems, depression,
anxiety, sleep disorders, lung disorders, neurological and endocrine
disorders, chronic pain, migraine headaches
Our bodies neutralize, transform or eliminate toxins to the best of its
capacity. The liver will transform many toxic substances into harmless
agents; the blood carries waste products to the kidneys and intestines;
the body sweats; the skin releases waste or toxins through rashes,
growths, itching and other sensations; the sinuses are a means of building
up and releasing mucus (waste).
THE OVERWHELMED BODY WILL NEED HELP TO FURTHER DETOX…
15. 15
It is necessary to simplify the process as we move
through the daily activities of life. Trying “too hard” to
change or clean up the picture can cause more
problems if there is excessive removal of nutrients or
there is overdoing the supplements or other means of
detoxification.
Let’s look at what we can do to help remove the toxic
buildup in the body without too much hassle:
16. 16
>>Detox involves dietary and lifestyle changes that REDUCE
toxin intake/exposure and IMPROVE elimination. Detox is
about living life the way it should be lived…>>>>>
1) Avoid as many artificially or FACTORY processed chemicals in
food and drinks as you can.
2) Avoid the same in detergents, household cleansers, personal
hygiene products, cosmetics & perfumes, clothing, bedding,
furnishings, cars, workplaces
3) Avoid aluminum cookware and any food or personal hygiene
products such as antiperspirants that contain this metal
17. 17
4) Take in clean water that is direct from a well, spring or
good filtration system in your home or environment;
use non-plastic vessels to drink from and store the
water.
5) Use glassware, earthenware, porcelain and other
natural materials for food preparation and storage.
6) Wear cotton, flax, silk, wool or any natural fabrics; use
natural wood or other type of furnishings.
7) Take in whole foods.
8) Avoid dairy in general.
18. 18
9) Take organic, home grown or minimally processed foods.
10)Eat plants as your staple foods.
11)Minimize all meats: livestock is a huge source of
chemicals, hormones and saturated fats.
12)Use fresh juicing with a juicer or vitamix to extract liquids
from fresh plants; use 3 to 4 maximum with only 1 fruit
and the remainder to be green veggies or combo of green
and other colorful veggies; use the pulp for snacks or add
to a mix. Take 4-6 ounces 1-2 times a day if desired.
19. 19
13) Miso soup is an excellent source of live enzymes
that help detoxify and nourish the digestive tract;
use daily in morning and/or at each meal to start.
14) Eat plants 3 or more times daily; enjoy color and
variety.
15) Include more bitter greens for better health: kale, collards, broccoli
rabbe, watercress, arugula, spinach, dandelion, chicory, chard,
endive, radicchio, turnip greens; they are abundant in antioxidants,
anticancer, antimicrobial, antiaging factors!!
16) Keep all oils to small portions: olive, coconut, canola, macadamia
(1-2 tbsp once or twice daily); use omega -3 fish oils 1-2 x daily if
you are not consuming fish on a regular (3 x week) basis.
20. 20
17)Use more fresh and dried beans, lentils and legumes daily and
less meat for protein and fats. The plants have the benefit of
helping detox, reduce exposure to harmful chemicals and fats.
Choose wild fish for B12 needs.
18)Fasting is a nice way to help detox your body. Once or even twice
a week, juice your greens and take no solid foods for the day.
19)Exercise for a total of 30 minutes daily; may divide this into 3 ten
minute or 2 fifteen minute sessions. Do more if desired. High
energy or rigorous exercise is best to get started followed by a
slow down or cooling period. Detox cannot be complete without
exercise or physical conditioning.
20)Massage your body daily; massage someone else if you can; have
a massage as often as possible.
21. 21
21)Use a dry natural bristle brush before bathing in morning and
evening to stimulate the skin and help move used skin cells from
the body.
22)Go barefoot on chemical-free earth and stimulate the body
chakras or energy channels- at least 10 minutes a day. This is
revitalizing and helps in detoxification.
22. 22
23) Sing, laugh, engage in stimulating
conversation and listen to positive teachings,
music and other natural or pleasant sounds
daily. This is important to enlighten, energize,
stimulate as well as assist in discharge of
emotions and other negative buildup in the
mind and body.
24) Express your gratitude toward life through
verbal or physical expressions.
25) Touch, stroke, hug or cuddle other living
creatures daily. Both plants and animals
support each other and need to touch in all
senses. Hug a tree!
23. 23
THE FOLLOWING ARE SUGGESTIONS FOR
CLEANING UP YOUR DIET FOR AN OVERALL
BETTER STATE OF HEALTH
24. 24
>>>>Use miso soup before each meal daily.
Miso is your “probiotic” that is preferable
and healthier than any yogurt or capsule.
Brown rice, soy or barley are all fine to
choose from. If gluten-sensitive, eliminate
barley.
>>>>Use a cup of a whole grain at each meal:
brown, basmati or other whole grain rice,
quinoa of any color, millet, oats, organic corn,
barley are all good to choose/use.
25. 25
>>>>Include 2-3 tablespoons of
beans/lentils/legumes/nuts/seeds in your
diet daily. No sugar, honey added. Use
herb and natural salt for seasoning. No
heavy sauce or gravy on anything.
>>>>Take 30-40 ounces of high quality water/beverage
daily. Avoid alcohol, caffeine and any commercial juice or
soda. If you are very active and engaged in heavy labor,
water may be increased to the need as desired.
>>>>Have about 30% fresh vegetables
at each meal. Yes, breakfast should
include veggies and not just a fruit or
fruit juice.
26. 26
>>>>Use nuts, seeds, popcorn rice cakes
and some light fruits for snacks. Veggies
are certainly welcome. AVOID all cakes,
puddings, pies, ice cream, smoothies, cold
liquids and other frozen desserts for
optimal health.
>>>>Eat slowly and stop eating when you feel
satisfied and NOT when full or “stuffed”. You
can always eat the remainder at a later time in
the day or the next day.
>>>>Chew your food at least 25 times
and more if your health is
compromised.
27. 27
SAMPLE YEAR-LONG DETOX PROGRAM
SPRING: for 7-21 days in March you can use this plan:
>Master Cleanser (lemonade): This is for those who are serious about
cleansing with the ability to hold solid foods for some days. For weight
reduction, it is a 10 day plan of drinking a mixture of: filtered water,
fresh lemon juice, high grade maple syrup and cayenne pepper with a
sprinkle of natural salt. NOTE: this is not an ideal method overall, but it
is used widely for weight loss and quick cleansing. If you are not in best
health, try for one day only. Do the cleanse for 2-5 days if you can.
Expect headaches, weak feelings and constipation. You may use laxative
teas to help eliminate; keep active and rest when needed on this plan.
For a few days after one should slowly reintroduce soups, grains,
veggies and then beans, fish or more. See below for a recipe**
28. 28
fruits, veggies, greens, juices of the fruits or veggies on
other days
herbs with any of the above
alternate these plants and even include a 3-5 day water
fast (for anyone in general good health; may do one
day fast, once a week if health is not very good).
slowly increase the intake to a regular dietary pattern
29. 29
Summer: Have a week of fruits and
veggies or fresh juices between June
and July. Take only small portions of
beans, nuts or seeds daily for this week.
Use Miso!
Late Summer: Have a 3-day cleanse
of fruits and veggies in August
30. 30
Autumn: Try a 7-day cleanse between September and October.
Use:
apple and lemon juice together
fresh fruits and veggies, raw and cooked
fruit and veggie juices- fruit in the morning, veggies in the
afternoon
juices plus spirulina, algae or Sun Chlorella to mix in
whole grains, cooked squashes, other veggies
mixture of the above plans
colon detox with fiber: flax, psyllium, pectin, along with enemas
or colonics
preparing and planning new autumn diets and enhancing
positive dietary habits
31. 31
WINTER: A lighter dietary intake in prep for the holidays:
>avoidance of toxins and treats, with a very basic wholesome
diet
>one week of brown rice cooked veggies, miso soup and
seaweed. Use ginger and cayenne pepper in soups
>sauna and steam baths to really cleanse!
>Be aware of your food during holidays and keep to a smart and
healthy plan no matter what you may encounter.
