2. Climate Rainfall: Less than 25cm of rainfall per year. The amount of evaporation is greater than the amount of rainfall so, for some deserts they get zero rainfall in a year. Temperature: All the months during the year have an average temperature of 68-77 degrees Fahrenheit. The temperature is hot during the day but it cools down at night.
3. Plant and Animal Life Plants: The plant life is scarce but there are some plants including, ocotillo, saguaro cactus, ground hugging shrubs, and very short branchy trees. Animals: Almost all the animals in the desert are nocturnal, so they come out at night including, coyotes, foxes, peccaries, tarantulas, scorpions, ring tailed cats, antelopes, hawks, owls, quail, snakes, and lizards.
4. Adaptations Plants: Absorb and store water inside of them so when theres no rain they can still surive. Also they are lightly colored so the don’t atract heat.
