The Relationship Between Economic Growth And Its...
The relationship between economic growth and its determinants has been examined extensively. One
important issue is whether population leads to employment changes or employment leads to
population changes (do jobs follow people or people follow jobs ?) To explain this interdependence
between household residential choices and firm location choices, a simultaneous equations model was
initially developed by Carlino and Mills (1987). This modeling framework has also been applied in
various studies to investigate the interdependence between migration and employment growth or
migration, employment growth, and income jointly determined by regional variables such as natural
amenities (Clark and Murphy, 1996; Deller, 2001; Waltert et al., 2011), public land policy (Duffy
Deno, 1997, 1998; Eichman et al., 2010; Lewis et al., 2002, Lewis et al., 2003; Lundgren, 2009), and
land development (Carruthers and Mulligan, 2007). In the Carlino Mills (1987) model, the assumption
is that households and firms are spatially mobile. Also, it is assumed that households migrate to
maximize their utility from the consumption of private goods and services and use of non market
goods (amenities) and firms locate to maximize their profit whose production costs and revenues
depend on business conditions, local public services, markets, and supply of inputs. In addition, these
assumptions indicate that interdependence between employment and household income exists because

When Taking Theology And Ethics
Before taking Theology and Ethics, I was a firm believer of the Lord, but I had never once thought in
different ways to interpret him or his word. I had taken religion classes in my church while in high
school, and we were never told or asked to think of how we interpret God s word as I have in my
theology class.
That is a mistake made by many churches and the church classes for students that they offer. What
they tend to do is stuff information down the people s throats instead of explaining different ways of
understanding God in their own unique way. I know that s what happened to me while I was in church
classes. I was only told information and forced to participate even though I didn t fully understand
God. It was not until I went to a church retreat where I felt God, and it was a feeling I had never
experienced before, it was a new discovery for me. The point is that I didn t feel God in class, because
that was not the teachers job. The teacher s job is to educate us on the Lord so we can be ready to pass
a test at the end of the class, the goal should be for the students to understand and find God. I m still
surprised how I had never thought nor learned of breaking down the holy trinity. I was taught what the
Holy Trinity was, but I never went beyond knowing it was the father, the son, and the holy spirit. I had
never opened my eyes to the things this theology class has questioned of me and make me pounder on.
One of the most interesting things that made me

The Scratching Essay
It was was Chad s parent s anniversary so they went out for dinner and left Chad at home. They told
him he couldn t have any parties or get togethers , which was what he usually called his parties, but
they said he could have one person over, but no more than that. So he called his best friend, Nick.
They watched a movie, listened to music, did some homework, and watched the news because there
was nothing else on. There were a couple stories that caught their attention: a shortage of cocoa beans
which means there ll probably be less chocolate this Halloween, an orangutang that spelled his own

Let s go to Lookout Ridge and watch the sunset and the lights turn on. We haven t done that in a while
Nick pleaded. He was willing to do anything but go back home and do absolutely nothing. Let s do it.
I used to like going up there every Friday with your dad when we were in grade school replied Chad,
thinking about those days when Nick s dad would take them to ice cream and then take them to that
clearing on that cliff that overlooked their small town. They would watch the sun set, and then all the
street lights turn on in the city at their scheduled time. After half an hour of country music and
discussing their favorite football team and how much better they are than last year, they pulled into the
best park at Lookout Ridge. It was kind of hidden and surrounded by trees without leaves, their
branches stretched out over the car, forming what some would say looks like a single car garage.
There they sat and waited for the sunset. The temperature outside dropped dramatically and clouds
poured into the sky. They watched the sun hide itself behind the mountains on the other side of the
small valley that housed their town. Then, at the precise scheduled time, the street lights scattered
around the town turn on and light up the quickly darkening air. After admiring the view for a long
while, it started to rain, so they decided it was finally time to leave. Chad put the car in reverse and
started backing out. The car

The Problem Of Suffering Is Not Limited
The problem of suffering is not limited to human society. The awareness of evils, present not only in
human society but also in the physical and biological levels, is raised among scientists and theologians
who participate in theology science dialogue. Not only animals but also plants experience sufferings
and pains to a certain extent. On the physical level, the increase of entropy according to the 2nd law of
thermodynamics is regarded as analogous to the notion of evil on the physical level. Even though the
prevalence of evil in the world raises a question as to the goodness of a god in any religion, The
problem is particularly pressing for Abrahamic faiths that insist on God s fairness, love, and goodness.
In that vein, Veli Matti Kärkkäinen appositely and acutely points out, Rampant suffering and acts of
evil in the world, both in relation to humanity (moral evil) and to nature (natural evil), constitute a
major atheistic challenge concerning the existence of God. In this paper, rather than presenting a full
scale theodicy, I engage with the problem of theodicy through careful comparative study between
Wolfhart Pannenberg s and Catherine Keller s theodical arguments in the context of their dialogue
with modern physics and biology. Pannenberg sees that theology and natural science are to be placed
in hypothetical consonance , whereas Keller takes an assimilationist approach to theology science
dialogue. The divergence of their interdisciplinary

Frederick Taylor Research Paper
Frederick Taylor was the founder of Scientific management also known as Taylorism. He was the first
who settled a reasonable approach, a coherent manner in which the factories should be organised. The
best way for a worker to do their jobs according to Taylor was to provide proper tools and training,
and to provide motivation for good performance. He introduced the concept of scientific management
that influenced the management thought process in a considerable way. Taylor found out that by the
use of scientific procedures and methods, the proficiency of workers can be increased and economy
can gain substantial growth. The principles of scientific management introduced by Taylor were
applied widely across the industries to increase the productivity of the organizations.Various
researchers suggest that Taylor s efforts unlocked the new prospects of management. Taylor created a
mental revolution between the workers by outlining crystal guidelines for the improvement of
production The principles of scientific management evolved during the embryonic phases of industrial

Analysis Of Leslie Marmon Silko s The Man To Send Rain Clouds
In The Man to Send Rain Clouds, and One Holy Night, Leslie Marmon Silko and Sandra Cisneros
discuss the traditions and myths of their cultures. Silko states her beliefs in the rituals or ceremonies
that her culture performs when one of her own has passed on. On the other hand, Cisneros explains the
struggles of being a teenage girl of another culture in American society. While both writers agree that
keeping their traditions and myths alive is important, Silko s story of Native American rituals gives
awareness on the tradition in the pueblo world that even in modern times they practice, Unlike
Cisneros, who s story of an unplanned teenage pregnancy after a short term relationship with a man
she barely knew, surveys what can be believed either an unfortunate or simply a typical tradition that
all teenagers are in a personal phase of rebellion against people of parental authority, and often end up
wanting to experiment with other cultures or figurative patterns of behavior, to interchange the
traditions they were raised with.
In The Man to Send Rain Clouds, Leslie Marmon Silko shows the cultural divide between Native
Americans and the priest in the story. In the priests world only god can send rain clouds but in the
Native world it s the next man s duty to speak to the cloud people and ask them to create rain for the
living. In this story the characters have a power struggle between the Native world and the white
world. The struggle has changed into a problem not of

The Affordable Care Act Is Surrounded By Numerous...
The Affordable Care Act is surrounded by numerous political circumstances. The Affordable Care Act
has been called by many names such as Obama Care or healthcare overhaul. The healthcare overhaul
is one of the rare policies that has been developed, but not tweaked to perfection; it may never be
tweaked to satisfy everyone, but it could still improve. According to the article entitled The Science of
Muddling Through by Charles Lindblom Policy is not made once and for all; it is made and re made
endlessly (Lindblom, 1959, pp. 86). The act of policy making is based on consecutive approximations
to some sought after objective in which the ultimately desired objective continuously changes under
reconsideration (Lindblom, 1959, pp. 86). Due to the fact, the Affordable Care Act was an overhaul
unlike any other in America in regards to healthcare it has received a great deal of attention

Essay on The Mexican-American War
The Mexican American war determined the destiny of the United States of America, it determined
whether or not it would become a world power and it established the size of the United States of
America. Perhaps the war was inevitable due to the idea of Manifest Destiny Americans thought they
had the divine right to extend their territory. The Mexican American War started mainly because of the
annexation of the Republic of Texas (established in 1836 after breaking away from Mexico). The
United States and Mexico still had conflicts on what the borders of Texas was, the United States

Physical geography has been broad subject that includes a lot of things occuring on Earth. I never

that made most of an impact was the tsunami warning lesson and the imbalances of outgoing

Social Darwinism During The Gilded Age
Social Darwinism was a popular term during the late 19th century. According to Social Darwinism,
the human race evolves only through competition and only the fit survive while the weak cease to
exist. Therefore Social Darwinism applied during the Gilded age meant that the wealthy represented
the fit, whereas the poor represented the weak. Wealthy men like John D. Rockefeller used this to
justify their tremendous wealth gain. However, American industries expanded rapidly; new
technologies and innovations came about and took over the cities which increased production. Many
of Americans and immigrants migrated to the cites to get jobs; but the working conditions during the
time were very poor. Employees worked long hard hours in harsh environments and received little
pay, which caused many people to live in poverty. This poverty issue formulated the theory of Social
Darwinism. Many people used this theory to justify the distinction between the rich and the poor.
Social Darwinism also allowed businessmen to have merit because it allowed them to expand and earn
money. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Analysis Of We Real Cool
We Real Cool, by Gwendolyn Brooks is a lyrical poem that tells a story of teenage rebellion. Although
the poem is relatively short, it packs an extremely powerful message about youth. Gwendolyn Brooks
centered her works predominately around the African American consciousness. During the time in
which the poem was written, many teens, especially young African American men felt misunderstood
and like the world was set up for them to fail. At first glance, it appears this poem is a mere
description of misunderstood young adults who are enjoying their youth. However, with further
analysis, it is made clear that this poem talks about much more than that. While it is obvious that this
poem is about rebellious youths, it is also about self identity and the dangers of herd mentality. Herd
mentality describes how people follow and adapt the behaviors of certain groups. Herd mentality is in
no way new; moreover, most people are subject to its effects. However, herd mentality becomes
dangerous when a group has enough influence to dictate an individual s way of thinking. When an
individual is desperate to find a place to belong, they will most likely follow the crowd even if they
know that they are participating in something immoral; this can be seen in We Real Cool.
In the opening lines of the poem, the reader is introduced to the subjects The Pool Players. Seven at
the Golden Shovel (line 1 2), they are the we in the poem. It becomes apparent to the reader that the
speaker is one of the seven pool players mentioned.
The speakers tone in the poem is very prideful and defiant, but at the same time, it is filled with
uncertainty. This poem is a formal verse ballad which uses simple sentences that have a steady meter
that gives the poem a jazz like quality to the poem which further emphasizes the speaker s nonchalant
attitude and their disdain for the establishment.
The speaker contempt for the system is shown in the line We real cool. We Left school. (line3 4) The
speaker feels misunderstood by society and yearns to find a place for themselves in the world. The
danger in this is that the speaker of a poem gives up on conventional means of education in search for
a place where they can belong, which

Juvenile Crimes And Juvenile Crime
Juvenile Crimes Juvenile crime occurs when a person violates the criminal law under the age of
majority (in most states it s 18). The juvenile system is way different than the adult system. When a
juvenile commits a crime there are legal consequences for their actions depending on what he/she did.
Sometimes the system can put them in rehabilitation or a detention center. If the offense is minor, the
juvenile could be released to the custody of a parent or legal guardian. In the United States if the
juvenile gets arrested for a minor offense the court will usually give a (Notice to Appear). In the notice
to appear will list, where the juvenile should report, as well the time and date.
There are different types of sentencing alternatives to juvenile crime, when sentencing a juvenile they
can be classified into two basic categories: incarceration related options and non incarceration options.
When incarceration the juvenile can be in (1) (Detention Facility), this is where the minor has to serve
a short term sentencing for the crime they committed. (2) (House Arrest), House arrest is when the
minor has to stay home, with the limit to travel from school, work, and wherever the court allows
them to go. (3) (Secured Juvenile Facilities) these are similar to juvenile hall except that they are
intended for longer terms, sometimes months or years, also called camps. There are over 2,500 people
that are serving life in prison without the possibility of parole for the crimes

The Innate Immune Systems And The Acquired Or Adaptive...
The immune system can broadly be divided into two categories: the innate immune system and the
acquired or adaptive immune system. The innate system acts like the first line of defense, it works by
recognizing a broad range of pathogens on the basis of their patterns and certain molecules that are
different from those found in the organism e.g. the human innate immune system will recognize
peptidoglycans that are found in bacteria but not humans. The innate system consists of physical
barriers like the skin and mucosal membrane and other cells like natural killers and cytokines. It is
thought, as of now, that the innate immune system has no memory. The acquired or adaptive immune
system on the other hand is much more specific. (Warrington, Watson, Kim, Antonett, 2011) Rick M
Maizels et al state that the reason natural selection has favored so much variation in the immune
response is because in order to survive, the organism must illicit a strong response against a large
number of invading pathogens. Had this response not been a highly evolved one, our immune system
would not have been able to fend of many complex pathogens which can themselves evolve rapidly to
encounter the hosts immune system. (Maizels Nussey, 2013)
Initially, only the innate immune system existed, but as organisms evolved another set of immune cells
starting to develop. This can be seen from the immune system of jawless fish like lamprey. These
organisms don t essentially have an adaptive immune

Sherlock Holmes V. Sherlock. There Always Seems To Be A
Sherlock Holmes v. Sherlock
There always seems to be a debate on which portrayal of Sherlock Holmes is better.; the movie with
Robert Downey Jr. or the show with Benedict Cumberbatch? The movie and show are based on
Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle but are different in aspects such as actor portrayals,
levels of complexity, and main character deaths. These aspects make the show better than the movie.
Both shows have relatively the same characters, but the portrayals vary greatly. In the movie, Robert
Downey Jr. portrayal of Sherlock was very bland. Sherlock found little to no satisfaction in being a
high functioning sociopath with amazing deductive skills. There was no connection with anybody in

case and join in on the troublesome game. He balances Sherlock s sociopath tendencies but brings his
own wonder to the show. Watson makes sure he is heard and is the voice of reason.
Additionally, Andrew Scott as Moriarty is perfect. He has the psychopathic behavior and is very
conniving and mysterious. Scott makes him unnerving because you know he is a master criminal and
will not hesitate to kill people. Yet he still keeps the character relatable. Scott makes Moriarty a
serious psychotic man but brings slight comedy to the part by not being serious.
The show is better than the movie because the character portrayals are much better because they are
more relatable and overall intriguing. The development of the characters is detailed but leaves enough
out to keep it clouded with mystery. On top of a better portrayal of characters, the show has a better
level of complexity.
In the movie, the Moriarty case was complex and difficult to follow. The case was difficult because
Sherlock is going against someone on his intelligence level, so the audience struggles to keep up.
Also, having a backstory with the gypsy that helped throughout the movie added to the plot but was
more of a distraction. The ending was not that complex though. The impending murder kept you
guessing, but not the death of Moriarty.

This report provides an analysis and evaluation of environmental planning of Australia and urban
development. There are 3 relevant case studies of ecologically sustainable development that is clean
land, clean air and plan for a clear environment. All the information presented and conceptualizes the
state of environmental planning in Australia in relationship between urban form community and
government attitudes to natural processes, resource management and policy development and also
applying practical ideas to corporate sustainability management in Australia.
Background:
The evolution of environmental sustainability started in the 20th century, the first problem recognized
by the environmental managers was the air pollution which creates smog because of the automobiles
and industries but that was not the only problem.
In the 1950s, the Eisenhower administration described air pollution as a local problem. Of course,
today we know it is a global problem we track pollution from China blowing to the US, for example
but that early view probably shaped how air quality is regulated today via very strong state
participation.
The environmental management has now introduced new policies regarding environmental
sustainability to develop a positive environment for the future generation in which they have made a
proper study regarding environment essential in many institutes so that people can have much

Aristotle s Definition Of Courage
Courage is something that everybody wants to have. It is an attribute of good character that makes a
person worthy of respect. A courageous person understands the danger and decides to overcome their
fear by acting according to their values. Courage is wisely balanced between the weaknesses of
cowardice and recklessness. Asking their selves, reminding about fear, enlarging the comfort zone,
and doing something to engage ones cognition helps a person be courageous without being reckless.
No one in this world is fearless. Everyone has a fear of something or someone. Having courage of
overcoming the fear is what a person need to be able to live a perfect life. Aristotle believed that the
personification of courage is facing noble death at the hands of the enemy during ones offensive attack

is not correct. Entertainment has been a near essential part of culture since culture has been around.
While entertainment has been a part of society for an indefinite time in recent years it has become
increasingly integrated into the everyday lives of people. In the 18th century a popular example of
entertainment would be the theatre. This was the era of great poets and writers like Shakespeare.

Vulnerability Assessment ( Va )
1. Introduction
Security is a standout amongst the most difficult and complex issue in Information Technology (IT)
today. Security causes millions of dollars loss to the different organizations every year. Even if 99% of
all assaults result from known vulnerabilities and flawed misconfigurations, an answer is most
certainly not direct. With a crowd of networks, operating system and application related
vulnerabilities, security specialists are getting the opportunity to be logically aware of the need to
review and direct potential security dangers on their network and systems. This requires a more
effective and insightful way to deal with sustaining the project. Vulnerability Assessment (VA) is the
procedure of identifying, quantifying, measuring and organizing dangers connected with system and
host based network to reduce its risk to the system. Vulnerability Assessment (VA) tools permit
customization of security strategy, computerized examination of vulnerabilities, and formation of
reports that helps to discover security vulnerability.
Network around the world is connected through various hardware and application. Different types of
connections are used to connect network around the world. Many organizations and companies are

Friedrich Nietzsche s Influence On Modern Intellectual...
Friedman Wilhelm Nietzsche was a German philosopher, poet, cultural critic, philologist, and a Greek
and Latin scholar. His work has had lots of influence on modern intellectual history and Western
philosophy in general. It revolved mainly around art, philology, religion and science. He wrote about
morality, tragedy, aesthetics, atheism, epistemology and consciousness. However, some of Nietzsche s
most profound elements of his philosophy include his powerful critique of reason and truth. He argued
for perspectivism. He critiqued religion and Christian ethics, developed the concept of Ubermensch
and the doctrine of eternal return to support it. Also, Friedman Nietzsche came up with his theory of
master slave morality and response to the death of God and nihilism. The philosopher s notion of the
Apollonian and Dionysian were prominent as well. The paper discusses, in detail, some of Nietzsche s
major philosophies such as master and slave morality. It looks further into his view on nihilism; his
definition, why he was so much against it and what he thinks should replace it. Also, the write up
explains Nietzsche s analysis of Christianity as a dominant religion and its teachings. Lastly, it points
out the prejudices of philosophers and the relationship between philosophy and truth.Beyond good and
evil is a detailed account of Nietzsche s mature philosophy. Distinction between master and slave
morality In his book, Beyond good and evil, Nietzsche describes the

Mexica Vs Inca
Similar to how in the modern world how two cultures can differ greatly, India versus Canada for
example, the ancient societies of the Mexica and the Inca were very different. Such dissimilarities are
partially due to lack of communication, a problem originating in the time period in which they thrived,
being the twelfth to sixteenth centuries when they had no other means of communication besides by
foot. Despite their differences, the two peoples had many parallels regarding social norms and
hierarchies. Be it ancient Egypt, Nazi Germany, or the modern day United States, religion has yielded
sway in government and has had a major influence on societal norms. In both the Inca and Mexica
culture, for example, priests yielded much power in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In Mexica culture, calpulli were communities of cultivators that worked on land belonging to
aristocrats who had common forefathers, however after some time, the importance of familial lineage
became less important. While usually working on agriculture, some calpulli also worked on general
services to their greater societies. Comparably, the Inca cultivator peasants lived in communities
called ayllu that were like the Mexica s calpulli. Similar to the future system of feudalism, the
peasants worked on the land of an aristocrat, and most products of this work went to the upper classes.
While the Mexica and Inca lower classes resembled each other, the upper classes were disparate. In
Mexica culture, warriors were the highest on the hierarchal pyramid. Warriors were very privileged,
but the best warriors visibly distinguished themselves by wearing colorful clothing and eating
expensive food. In addition, many warriors held positions of power in the government. In Inca culture,
aristocrats and priests were at the top of the pyramid. Aristocrats set themselves apart from the
commoners by wearing clothing embroidered by the lower class and large rings or plugs in their ears.
In fact, when the Spanish first encountered the Inca, they nicknamed the aristocrats big

Examples Of Glory In Beowulf
The Anglo Saxons were Germanic tribes from the German regions of Angeln and Saxony that had
moved over to Britain. They had conquered the Jutes and Frisians from Denmark. In the time period
where the Anglo Saxon s were living and thriving (410 660 A.D.), glory was one of the more
important points of their beliefs. They wanted glory for their king, glory for their warrior tribe, glory
for themselves, and finally, glory for their ancestors. Glory was the thread that kept the Anglo Saxon
culture, the warrior clans, and epic heroes, such as Beowulf himself, truly glorious. Glory kept the
Anglo Saxon culture important in the Anglo Saxons lifestyle and truly glorious. For example the mead

Though in Beowulf there is no war going on between two tribes, Beowulf fights many supernatural
monsters such as the sea monsters and Grendel. When Beowulf was sinking down to the bottom of the
lake to fight Grendel s mother, he was not only going to fight Grendel s mom. She had various sea
monsters in her cave to help tear Beowulf apart. Luckily for Beowulf, the only thing that kept him
alive was his unbreakable chain mail. He does fight the sea monsters, but his main goal was to kill
Grendel s mom. ...a bewildering horde came at him from the depths, droves of sea beasts who attacked
with tusks and tore at his chain mail in a ghastly onslaught (105). Not only was killing Grendel s mom

to kill you too! As king, Beowulf fights a dragon because some stupid thief could not keep himself
from taking a piece of its treasure. Not only does the dragon try to kill the thief, but it tries to burn the
whole city down in flames. Beowulf says he will fight the dragon and that he could possibly die, ... I

Why Vaccination Should Be Mandatory

Why Vaccines Should be Required to Attend School
Ever since the invention of the first smallpox vaccine more than two centuries ago, there has been
plenty of controversy over the morality, ethics, effectiveness, and safety of vaccination and
immunization. It has recently been argued whether laws should be introduced that render some or all
vaccines obligatory for all children (Singer). Parents, health care specialists, nurses, teachers and
children all have an important stake in this issue. Parents argue that it is they who should have the
ultimate decision making right on whether or not to vaccinate their children. Nurses and health care
officials oppose that view on the grounds that by making vaccination rates in children incomplete, we
expose all children to contracting the vaccine preventable diseases. If this is a risk some parents are
willing to take, but others face unwillingly, there is obviously a propitious platform for debate. It is in
fact irresponsible and a violation of good citizen when parents oppose vaccinating their children. It is
important to unify certain rules related to vaccination and not make it the prerogative of a particular
public or private school to decide whether or not to accept an unvaccinated child. It would only be
right to end all debate by passing a binding country wide law to make certain vaccines (against

embarrassment. His whole childhood and teenage years was spent indoors, hidden away from
everyone. He spent every day reading, which led him to learning liberal arts and history which helped

Persuasive Essay On Factory Farming
It is extremely easy to be satisfied in our sanctuary world to eventually turn to the violence and
despair that our everyday life decision partakes, and that the country buys into. If the world knew what
the horrors of the meat industry are doing, businesses will decrease. To keep their secrets unknown,
meat and animal factory farms are carefully keeping quiet, like a fugitive the fugitive they are because
they just committed murder. People around the world are making efforts while the animal cruelty is
becoming a more of a mainstream. Factory farming is probably the horrific thing you can do the poor
helpless animals. Most factory farming affects pigs, cows, chickens, and other animals that are used
for milk, food, and eggs. Some of these animals grow faster than others, so in large groups, they are
shipped onto trucks through traitorous terrains and sent to be killed in a slaughterhouse. Animals

information about the quality and effectiveness of services can contribute to better outcomes.
Information systems, particularly at lower levels of the health system, need to be simple and

The Relationship BetweenEconomic Growth And Its... The relationship between economic growth and its determinants has been examined extensively. One important issue is whether population leads to employment changes or employment leads to population changes (do jobs follow people or people follow jobs ?) To explain this interdependence between household residential choices and firm location choices, a simultaneous equations model was initially developed by Carlino and Mills (1987). This modeling framework has also been applied in various studies to investigate the interdependence between migration and employment growth or migration, employment growth, and income jointly determined by regional variables such as natural amenities (Clark and Murphy, 1996; Deller, 2001; Waltert et al., 2011), public land policy (Duffy Deno, 1997, 1998; Eichman et al., 2010; Lewis et al., 2002, Lewis et al., 2003; Lundgren, 2009), and land development (Carruthers and Mulligan, 2007). In the Carlino Mills (1987) model, the assumption is that households and firms are spatially mobile. Also, it is assumed that households migrate to maximize their utility from the consumption of private goods and services and use of non market goods (amenities) and firms locate to maximize their profit whose production costs and revenues depend on business conditions, local public services, markets, and supply of inputs. In addition, these assumptions indicate that interdependence between employment and household income exists because household migrate if they ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

When Taking TheologyAnd Ethics Before taking Theology and Ethics, I was a firm believer of the Lord, but I had never once thought in different ways to interpret him or his word. I had taken religion classes in my church while in high school, and we were never told or asked to think of how we interpret God s word as I have in my theology class. That is a mistake made by many churches and the church classes for students that they offer. What they tend to do is stuff information down the people s throats instead of explaining different ways of understanding God in their own unique way. I know that s what happened to me while I was in church classes. I was only told information and forced to participate even though I didn t fully understand God. It was not until I went to a church retreat where I felt God, and it was a feeling I had never experienced before, it was a new discovery for me. The point is that I didn t feel God in class, because that was not the teachers job. The teacher s job is to educate us on the Lord so we can be ready to pass a test at the end of the class, the goal should be for the students to understand and find God. I m still surprised how I had never thought nor learned of breaking down the holy trinity. I was taught what the Holy Trinity was, but I never went beyond knowing it was the father, the son, and the holy spirit. I had never opened my eyes to the things this theology class has questioned of me and make me pounder on. One of the most interesting things that made me ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Problem OfSuffering Is Not Limited The problem of suffering is not limited to human society. The awareness of evils, present not only in human society but also in the physical and biological levels, is raised among scientists and theologians who participate in theology science dialogue. Not only animals but also plants experience sufferings and pains to a certain extent. On the physical level, the increase of entropy according to the 2nd law of thermodynamics is regarded as analogous to the notion of evil on the physical level. Even though the prevalence of evil in the world raises a question as to the goodness of a god in any religion, The problem is particularly pressing for Abrahamic faiths that insist on God s fairness, love, and goodness. In that vein, Veli Matti Kärkkäinen appositely and acutely points out, Rampant suffering and acts of evil in the world, both in relation to humanity (moral evil) and to nature (natural evil), constitute a major atheistic challenge concerning the existence of God. In this paper, rather than presenting a full scale theodicy, I engage with the problem of theodicy through careful comparative study between Wolfhart Pannenberg s and Catherine Keller s theodical arguments in the context of their dialogue with modern physics and biology. Pannenberg sees that theology and natural science are to be placed in hypothetical consonance , whereas Keller takes an assimilationist approach to theology science dialogue. He was the first who settled a reasonable approach, a coherent manner in which the factories should be organised. The best way for a worker to do their jobs according to Taylor was to provide proper tools and training, and to provide motivation for good performance. He introduced the concept of scientific management that influenced the management thought process in a considerable way. Taylor found out that by the use of scientific procedures and methods, the proficiency of workers can be increased and economy can gain substantial growth. The principles of scientific management introduced by Taylor were applied widely across the industries to increase the productivity of the organizations.Various researchers suggest that Taylor s efforts unlocked the new prospects of management. Analysis Of LeslieMarmon Silko s The Man To Send Rain Clouds In The Man to Send Rain Clouds, and One Holy Night, Leslie Marmon Silko and Sandra Cisneros discuss the traditions and myths of their cultures. Silko states her beliefs in the rituals or ceremonies that her culture performs when one of her own has passed on. On the other hand, Cisneros explains the struggles of being a teenage girl of another culture in American society. While both writers agree that keeping their traditions and myths alive is important, Silko s story of Native American rituals gives awareness on the tradition in the pueblo world that even in modern times they practice, Unlike Cisneros, who s story of an unplanned teenage pregnancy after a short term relationship with a man she barely knew, surveys what can be believed either an unfortunate or simply a typical tradition that all teenagers are in a personal phase of rebellion against people of parental authority, and often end up wanting to experiment with other cultures or figurative patterns of behavior, to interchange the traditions they were raised with. In The Man to Send Rain Clouds, Leslie Marmon Silko shows the cultural divide between Native Americans and the priest in the story. In the priests world only god can send rain clouds but in the Native world it s the next man s duty to speak to the cloud people and ask them to create rain for the living. The Mexican American War started mainly because of the annexation of the Republic of Texas (established in 1836 after breaking away from Mexico). The United States and Mexico still had conflicts on what the borders of Texas was, the United States claimed that the Texas border with Mexico was the Rio Grande, but the Mexicans said that it was the Nueces River, so the land in between were disputed and ... A month later, on June 14th 1846 in California, native English speaking people arrested the Mexican governor and imprisoned him and declared California the California Republic. Sloat claimed Monterey and took control of the California Republic. Later he transferred his command to Robert F. Stockton under the orders from congress. At the same time, Kearny with 1700 US troops marched to Sante Fe, New Mexico and took control. Kearny later proceeded with 300 dragoons along the Gila River valley. How Physical GeographyAnd How It Affected My Life Physical geography has been broad subject that includes a lot of things occuring on Earth. I never really thought about physical geography and its impact in my life until I took this course. Some lessons coincided with topics from my other classes such as sea erosion and outgoing longwave radiation. Other topics applied more to my life and somewhat affected my lifestyle. I think the ones that made most of an impact was the tsunami warning lesson and the imbalances of outgoing longwave radiation. A few times a month my cousin and I go to Santa Monica State Beach to work out on the stairs. Just recently I noticed the signs that read Tsunami hazard zone. Social Darwinism DuringThe Gilded Age Social Darwinism was a popular term during the late 19th century. According to Social Darwinism, the human race evolves only through competition and only the fit survive while the weak cease to exist. Therefore Social Darwinism applied during the Gilded age meant that the wealthy represented the fit, whereas the poor represented the weak. Wealthy men like John D. Rockefeller used this to justify their tremendous wealth gain. However, American industries expanded rapidly; new technologies and innovations came about and took over the cities which increased production. Many of Americans and immigrants migrated to the cites to get jobs; but the working conditions during the time were very poor. Employees worked long hard hours in harsh environments and received little pay, which caused many people to live in poverty. This poverty issue formulated the theory of Social Darwinism. Many people used this theory to justify the distinction between the rich and the poor. Social Darwinism also allowed businessmen to have merit because it allowed them to expand and earn money. ... Analysis Of WeReal Cool We Real Cool, by Gwendolyn Brooks is a lyrical poem that tells a story of teenage rebellion. Although the poem is relatively short, it packs an extremely powerful message about youth. Gwendolyn Brooks centered her works predominately around the African American consciousness. During the time in which the poem was written, many teens, especially young African American men felt misunderstood and like the world was set up for them to fail. At first glance, it appears this poem is a mere description of misunderstood young adults who are enjoying their youth. However, with further analysis, it is made clear that this poem talks about much more than that. While it is obvious that this poem is about rebellious youths, it is also about self identity and the dangers of herd mentality. Herd mentality describes how people follow and adapt the behaviors of certain groups. Herd mentality is in no way new; moreover, most people are subject to its effects. However, herd mentality becomes dangerous when a group has enough influence to dictate an individual s way of thinking. When an individual is desperate to find a place to belong, they will most likely follow the crowd even if they know that they are participating in something immoral; this can be seen in We Real Cool. In the opening lines of the poem, the reader is introduced to the subjects The Pool Players. Seven at the Golden Shovel (line 1 2), they are the we in the poem. It becomes apparent to the reader that the speaker is one of the seven pool players mentioned. The speakers tone in the poem is very prideful and defiant, but at the same time, it is filled with uncertainty. This poem is a formal verse ballad which uses simple sentences that have a steady meter that gives the poem a jazz like quality to the poem which further emphasizes the speaker s nonchalant attitude and their disdain for the establishment. The speaker contempt for the system is shown in the line We real cool. We Left school. (line3 4) The speaker feels misunderstood by society and yearns to find a place for themselves in the world. The danger in this is that the speaker of a poem gives up on conventional means of education in search for a place where they can belong, which ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Juvenile Crimes AndJuvenile Crime Juvenile Crimes Juvenile crime occurs when a person violates the criminal law under the age of majority (in most states it s 18). The juvenile system is way different than the adult system. When a juvenile commits a crime there are legal consequences for their actions depending on what he/she did. Sometimes the system can put them in rehabilitation or a detention center. If the offense is minor, the juvenile could be released to the custody of a parent or legal guardian. In the United States if the juvenile gets arrested for a minor offense the court will usually give a (Notice to Appear). In the notice to appear will list, where the juvenile should report, as well the time and date. There are different types of sentencing alternatives to juvenile crime, when sentencing a juvenile they can be classified into two basic categories: incarceration related options and non incarceration options. When incarceration the juvenile can be in (1) (Detention Facility), this is where the minor has to serve a short term sentencing for the crime they committed. (2) (House Arrest), House arrest is when the minor has to stay home, with the limit to travel from school, work, and wherever the court allows them to go. (3) (Secured Juvenile Facilities) these are similar to juvenile hall except that they are intended for longer terms, sometimes months or years, also called camps. The Innate ImmuneSystems And The Acquired Or Adaptive... The immune system can broadly be divided into two categories: the innate immune system and the acquired or adaptive immune system. The innate system acts like the first line of defense, it works by recognizing a broad range of pathogens on the basis of their patterns and certain molecules that are different from those found in the organism e.g. the human innate immune system will recognize peptidoglycans that are found in bacteria but not humans. The innate system consists of physical barriers like the skin and mucosal membrane and other cells like natural killers and cytokines. It is thought, as of now, that the innate immune system has no memory. The acquired or adaptive immune system on the other hand is much more specific. (Warrington, Watson, Kim, Antonett, 2011) Rick M Maizels et al state that the reason natural selection has favored so much variation in the immune response is because in order to survive, the organism must illicit a strong response against a large number of invading pathogens. Had this response not been a highly evolved one, our immune system would not have been able to fend of many complex pathogens which can themselves evolve rapidly to encounter the hosts immune system. (Maizels Nussey, 2013) Initially, only the innate immune system existed, but as organisms evolved another set of immune cells starting to develop. This can be seen from the immune system of jawless fish like lamprey. These organisms don t essentially have an adaptive immune ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Sherlock Holmes V.Sherlock. There Always Seems To Be A Sherlock Holmes v. Sherlock There always seems to be a debate on which portrayal of Sherlock Holmes is better.; the movie with Robert Downey Jr. or the show with Benedict Cumberbatch? The movie and show are based on Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle but are different in aspects such as actor portrayals, levels of complexity, and main character deaths. These aspects make the show better than the movie. Both shows have relatively the same characters, but the portrayals vary greatly. He has the psychopathic behavior and is very conniving and mysterious. Scott makes him unnerving because you know he is a master criminal and will not hesitate to kill people. Yet he still keeps the character relatable. Scott makes Moriarty a serious psychotic man but brings slight comedy to the part by not being serious. The show is better than the movie because the character portrayals are much better because they are more relatable and overall intriguing. The development of the characters is detailed but leaves enough out to keep it clouded with mystery. On top of a better portrayal of characters, the show has a better level of complexity. In the movie, the Moriarty case was complex and difficult to follow. The case was difficult because Sherlock is going against someone on his intelligence level, so the audience struggles to keep up. Also, having a backstory with the gypsy that helped throughout the movie added to the plot but was more of a distraction. The ending was not that complex though. Why Vaccination ShouldBe Mandatory Why Vaccines Should be Required to Attend School Nundi Hall Travis GND 1015: First Year Seminar November 21, 2015 Why Vaccines Should be Required to Attend School Ever since the invention of the first smallpox vaccine more than two centuries ago, there has been plenty of controversy over the morality, ethics, effectiveness, and safety of vaccination and immunization. It has recently been argued whether laws should be introduced that render some or all vaccines obligatory for all children (Singer). Parents, health care specialists, nurses, teachers and children all have an important stake in this issue. Parents argue that it is they who should have the ultimate decision making right on whether or not to vaccinate their children. Nurses and health care officials oppose that view on the grounds that by making vaccination rates in children incomplete, we expose all children to contracting the vaccine preventable diseases. If this is a risk some parents are willing to take, but others face unwillingly, there is obviously a propitious platform for debate. It is in fact irresponsible and a violation of good citizen when parents oppose vaccinating their children. It is important to unify certain rules related to vaccination and not make it the prerogative of a particular public or private school to decide whether or not to accept an unvaccinated child. It would only be right to end all debate by passing a binding country wide law to make certain vaccines (against ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
