The Hope of Salvation - Jude 1:24-25 - MessageCole Hartman
Jude gives us hope at the end of a dark letter. In a dark world like today, we need the light of Christ to shine brighter and brighter. Jude shows us where to fix our focus so we can be filled with God's goodness and glory. Join us to explore this incredible passage.
2 Peter 3: Because some scriptures are hard to understand and some will force them to say things God never intended, Peter warns us to take care.

It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

Slide 1: Title: Exploring the Mindfulness: Understanding Its Benefits
Slide 2: Introduction to Mindfulness
Mindfulness, defined as the conscious, non-judgmental observation of the present moment, has deep roots in Buddhist meditation practice but has gained significant popularity in the Western world in recent years. In today's society, filled with distractions and constant stimuli, mindfulness offers a valuable tool for regaining inner peace and reconnecting with our true selves. By cultivating mindfulness, we can develop a heightened awareness of our thoughts, feelings, and surroundings, leading to a greater sense of clarity and presence in our daily lives.

By focusing on the present moment and being fully attentive, mindfulness helps build stronger and more authentic connections with others.
Mindfulness teaches us how to be present for others in difficult times, leading to increased compassion and understanding.
Slide 6: Mindfulness Techniques and Practices
Focusing on the breath and mindful breathing can be a simple way to enter a state of mindfulness.

We are 6 weeks away
from Mission Sunday.
Until that time, our goal for this
section of the bulletin is to spot-
light our current mission works.
Please pray for our first two
mission works to be featured.
Jefferson Christian Academy (JCA).
JCA was established to serve Christian families and Churches of Christ. Regardless of whether our Chris-
tian families decide to enroll their children in this private Christian school, churches can agree that the
Academy’s influence is needed in our area.
Before Covid-19 only 20 percent of the student body at JCA was comprised of children who attend
Churches of Christ. This makes JCA an excellent opportunity for evangelism. All students are required to
attend chapel every morning and at least one Bible class each day. They attend classes taught by Christian
teachers who are free to discuss the Bible without any interference from the government. Just think of the
potential for Christ

The Kizer Family in Charlotte North Carolina
The first-century church exploded in growth because the believers were dispersed throughout Judea and
Samaria (Acts 8:1). It was a result of the church’s enemies unknowingly scattering Gospel seeds in the wind
where it took root and grew. Church-planting can take a dramatic form among those who are looking for
community. For this reason, our mission is to establish three, bilingual congregations among Hispanic im-
migrants in the Charlotte North Carolina area.
My family arrived in mid-2019, and our experience can be defined in two ways: pre-quarantine and quaran-
tine. Before the quarantine, we developed our vision and strategy and studied with over 70 active students
on a weekly basis. We designed a launch strategy that would have inaugurated on April 5, and on March 8th
,
days before the quarantine began, we had over 50 present for a church-wide picnic.
During the quarantine, we’ve conducted bi-weekly Zoom studies, and have helped over 20 families with
relief aid. We’ve worked extensively to provide more content on our Facebook page and church website.
We’re preparing to meet for worship, beginning June 21st
, outdoors in a reserved area.
We’ve experienced first-hand that our community is very receptive. They’re searching for a relationship
with Jesus and a spiritual family. Please pray for this essential work of church-planting in the Charlotte area

FOUR WISE THINGS - Part 4
As we continue our study on the
locust, from which we learn the impor-
tance of cooperation, let us learn the im-
portance of working together as a group.
The locust, when working alone, is weak but becomes a
powerful force in nature when they all work together. The
Lord has used them to punish those who were living in
rebellion to His will. The church needs to learn this les-
son and realize the need for working together for when
we are divided we cannot succeed. Division keeps peo-
ple from obeying the gospel. Paul wrote his first letter to
the Corinthian brethren to correct the beginning of divi-
sion when some were claiming “I am of Paul,” “I am of
Cephas,” or “I am of Apollos.” Paul told them, “I planted,
Apollos watered, but God gave the increase” (1 Cor.
3:6). Paul gives himself and Apollos as an example of
how by their cooperating in their work together with God
they were able to accomplish a great work. The church
here at Deerfoot by continuing to work together with one
another and with God can accomplish great things.
The final of the four creatures mention in Proverbs
30:28 (in the King James Version) is the spider. “The
spider taketh hold with her hands, and is in kings'
palaces.” From the spider there are two valuable les-
sons we Christians need to learn. First is the simple fact
that spiders are found in kings’ houses. They are found
everywhere, from the humblest hut of the poor to the
greatest mansions of kings. Like the spider we need to
go into every home from the king’s palace to the peas-
ant’s hut with the gospel of Christ. Jesus has com-
manded us to “Go ye into all the world, and preach
the gospel to every creature” (Mk. 16:15). Every indi-
vidual has the right and the need to hear the gospel and
we have the responsibility to see that this happens.
A second lesson we need to learn from the spider
is the fact that it is not easily discouraged. Have you ever
taken a broom and destroyed the web in a corner of your
house? If so you probably noticed that in a day or two the
spider rebuilds it. It matters not how often you may de-
stroy the web the spider will rebuild it. The only way to
prevent the spider from rebuilding it is to kill the spider. It
ought to be the same with Christians. The only way for
the world to stop us is to kill us.
When the apostles began preaching the gospel
they began to be persecuted. Initially they were arrested
(Acts 4:3); they were threatened (4:17, 21); they were
put into prison but without violence to them (Acts 5:17,
18, 26); and they were beaten (Acts 5:40). The action of
their enemies escalated from threats to beatings but
without affect. But finally, the Jews who opposed them
sought their death. In Acts the sixth chapter Stephan was
arrested and brought before the council. After a lengthy
testimony of the history of the Jews and God’s dealings
with them, Stephan concluded by charging them with
resisting the Holy Spirit. The result was that Stephan was
cast out of the city and stoned to death (Acts 7:58-60).
After this a great persecution arose against the church.
The Christians learned from the spider to is to persevere
and not given up and the world learned that the only way
to stop Christians from proclaiming the gospel was to kill
them.
