James, the brother of Jesus, wrote a letter to Jewish believers scattered abroad due to persecution. The letter was likely written between AD 40-60, before Gentiles became common in the church. James had initially disbelieved and doubted Jesus but became a leader in the early church after seeing the risen Jesus. He held authority in Jerusalem and convened the Council of Jerusalem to decide issues related to Gentile believers. Church historians refer to James as the "Pillar" of the church and "Camel Knees" due to his frequent prayer. Paul submitted to James' authority, showing different levels of leadership existed in the early church. James was ultimately martyred for his faith.

Though James initially doubted Jesus, he was transformed after experiencing Jesus' resurrection and became a devoted follower and leader. He held authority in the early church and even Paul met with James to receive his approval of his ministry to the Gentiles. James came to understand that whoever does the will of God is Jesus' brother.

It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375

“The Land of Beginning Again”
I wish that there were some wonderful place
Called the Land of Beginning Again,
Where all our mistakes and all our heartaches
Could be dropped like a shabby old coat at the door,
And never be on again.
I believe that the reason why this poem has been loved
by so many is due to the fact that it expresses the sentiment of
everyone at one time or another. Some may find themselves in
a job for which they prepared with years of education. After a
few years working on that job they come to the conclusion that it
is not what they want to do for the rest of their lives. Yet they
also believe that they can’t quit that job and seek to prepare for
another vocation. They have debts to pay and a family to care
for so they feel they are “stuck” in that job. How nice it would be
if they could start all over again.
Sometimes we say things that have perhaps hurt other
people and we desperately wish that we could go back and start
over again and correct our mistakes. Then we begin to think,
“Wouldn’t it be nice if there was the possibility of a new begin-
ning?” The joy of this is the fact that there is such a possibility of
starting over again and have all of those past mistakes wiped
away.
The apostle Paul, in writing to the church at Corinth, told those
brethren, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new crea-
tion; old things have passed away; behold, all things have
become new” (2 Cor. 5:17).
When Jesus met with His disciples to observe the Pass-
over and establish the Lord’s Supper, He told how that they
would all forsake Him. They all denied that and Peter said,
“Even if all are made to stumble because of You, I will
never be made to stumble” (Mt. 26:33). Told by Jesus that he
would betray Jesus three times, Peter again denied it. He de-
clared that he might die with Jesus but he would never deny
Him. Yet later that evening when Jesus was arrested and Peter
was standing outside the courtyard he was recognized by a
maiden who said, “You also were with Jesus of Galilee” (Mt.
26:69b). Peter denies this and then went out into the porch
where another girl said, “This fellow also was with Jesus of
Nazareth” (Mt. 26:71. But for a second time Peter denied this
using an oath that “I do not know the Man! (Mt. 26:72). A little
later those that stood by made a third accusation saying,
“Surely you also are one of them, for your speech betrays
you” (Mt. 26:73b). This time Peter began to curse and swear
saying, “I do not know the Man!” At that moment the cock
began to crow. At that moment Peter remembered what Jesus
had prophesied about this, “Before the rooster crows, you
will deny Me three times” (Mt. 26:75b). Mark tells us that at
that time Peter wept and Matthew says that he wept bitterly but
it is Luke who adds the information that makes me to under-
stand why Peter wept bitterly. Luke tells us that “And the Lord
turned and looked at Peter. And Peter remembered the
word of the Lord, how He had said to him, "Before the
rooster crows, you will deny Me three times” (Luke 22:61).
Can you imagine how Peter must have felt at that moment to
see his Lord looking at him and then remembering what Jesus
had truthfully said about Peter denying Him.
Jesus would be put to death and the disciples lost their
hope (Lk. 24:21 NKJV). But three days later the tomb of Jesus
is found empty and some report that they have seen Jesus risen
from the dead. In fact some of the women were told by an an-
gel, “But go, tell His disciples--and Peter--that He is going
before you into Galilee; there you will see Him, as He said
to you” (Mk. 16:7). Peter is singled out because he needed
extra encouragement and later it was Peter who was chosen to
first preach the gospel and open the Lord’s Kingdom to men.
Peter had found the land of beginning again.

Belize in March. We have a large

members go in together to purchase
some really nice quality large print
