The mid shot shows more detail of a person from the top half up. The trombone shot zooms forward while moving the camera. The wide shot establishes the background and shows a subject taking up the full frame. The steadicam shot keeps the camera steady through the use of a mechanical arm attached to the camera. The arc shot circles around the subject, sometimes in a half circle. The close up shot shows a detailed view of a person or object from a very short distance.
