This study examines the differences in preferred leadership behaviors between administrators in traditional public schools and those in online/hybrid schools in Alberta, Canada. The researcher will administer a leadership questionnaire (MLQ) to school administrators to understand if leadership styles differ between the two environments. Relatively little research has been done on leadership in online/hybrid schools. As these types of schools grow rapidly, it is important to understand effective leadership approaches in both traditional and non-traditional settings to help improve student achievement. The researcher poses three hypotheses that there are no significant differences in preferred leadership behaviors between the two groups.
