Mergers and Acquisitions
Mergers and Acquisitions In modern business environments, there are increasing dynamics
encouraging firms to utilize mergers and acquisitions to resolve resource. In dynamic business
environments, the value of existing resources is subject to erosion, in some instances fast
erosion. Consequently, firms continuously respond to changing environmental conditions by
upgrading their resources and capabilities via renewal, acquisition, redeployment, and
recombination. Mergers and acquisitions provide firms with a practical tool to close their
resource gaps, allowing for a much faster reconfiguration of the product mix toward high profit
products than, for example, internal development (Eschen and Bresser, 2005). The need for
corporate firms to achieve competitive advantage in a highly competitive global environment
has necessitated the implementation of innovative strategies, one of them being mergers and
acquisitions (Rizvi, 2010). Mergers and acquisitions have become an increasingly popular
strategy for achieving corporate growth and diversification, with the M A activity in the 1990 s
smashing all existing records, both in terms of the number of transactions and the size of the
deals. The worldwide value of M A increased from $462 billion in 1990 to over $3.5 trillion in
2000. Even though this unparalleled wave of M A drop in the early 2000 s as the global economy
cooled off and slid into recession, the M A volume worldwide remains at a much higher level than
existed in

The Is Like A Rope Of Sand
All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of
reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their
trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. (2 Corinthians 5:18
19 NIV) I spoke yesterday how life is like a rope of sand. You can t hold onto it, no matter how
hard you try. We also can t predict what might happen at any moment. My heart has been heavy
this past week over the shooting in Oregon. I think about the conversations at breakfast. Plans
being made for the weekend or perhaps just for the afternoon. And then in one senseless evil
moment nine lives were lost and an entire community was shaken to its very core. Every indicator
at this point says that the shooter, for whatever reason, was targeting Christians. I say this with
caution because when events like this happen its difficult to completely get a true accounting of
the events. BUt let it suffice to say, at this moment the targeting of Christians seems to be the
case. How are we, as the church, to respond to something like this? That s not idle question. We
may focus more on an event like this because it happens in our own country, but perhaps it ought
to wake us up to the truth that Christians are being persecuted all over the world. Always have
been, really, in one form or another. Consider, just in the past year or two we have seen a
systematic mass murdering of

The Early Modern Atlantic Economy Edited by J. McCusker...
On one hand a group of historian argues the notion that Brazil and the Caribbean experienced a
sugar revolution while on the other hand another group argues that there was no such thing as a
sugar revolution, what Brazil and Caribbean experienced was simply a sugar boom. In order to
assess which group of historians is more accurate, one must first understand the concept of a sugar
revolution and what factors must be present in order for a sugar revolution to occur. The concept of
a sugar revolution is one that states there was a drastic change from the cultivation of tobacco to the
cultivating of sugar cane, changing the country`s economy, politics and social structure within a
short period of time. According to B.W. Higman there are... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

When sugar cane was introduced those planters who owned small plots of land either had to sell
their land, merge their land with another planter and enter into a partnership or buy more land in
order to grow sugar cane. Sugar cane could only be grown on large plots of land which ranged from
150 acres to 500 acres in Barbados and in Jamaica 300 acres to 5000 acres. The type of labour also
changed within the Caribbean islands of Barbados, Jamaica, Nevis, Antigua and Montserrat from
free labour to slave labour. Tobacco cultivation required a very small labour force, but with sugar
as the new cash crop a large labour force was needed in which the Dutch provided by bringing
African slaves. Therefore the white populations of these countries declined while the black
populations increased due to the sugar revolution. Even though the governments of these Islands
made efforts to keep the black to white ratio ten to one, according to Greenwood, Robert, Hamber,
S, Dyde, Brian the ratio became extremely difficult to maintain during the years passed .
This population change occurred during the early years of the sugar revolution up to the mid
1700s. In Barbados there were 18 000 whites and 5 500 blacks in 1645 and by 1660 there were 20
000 whites and 30 000 blacks while Jamaica had 4 500 whites and 1 500 blacks in 1658 to 8 500

Change, Innovation, And Sustainability
Change, innovation, and sustainability are common terms in the current global economy.
Organizations need to keep the pace or lead the way to maintain its relevancy in the market and
keep the competition at bay. Thus sustainability is the key to leading by innovation and change, to
improve products and services, in order to remain at the top. Organizations achieve sustainability
when they have the ability to develop, innovate, and implement changes that would lead to long
term success (Froschheiser, 2014). For organizations to implement and commit to the constant
change environment, or organic evolution of change, all stakeholders needto be willing and
informed participants.
Organic Evolution of Change
Creating an organizational mentality of change, is the core of a sustainable organization
(Christensen, 2014). Establishments have been faced with the necessity to transition from the
traditional approach of stability, which ruled previous to the advancement in technology and
globalization, or risk irrelevancy or even destruction (Freytag Hollsen, 2010). Change is provoke
by need. Leadership must identify organizational, stakeholder, and market needs to identify reasons
for change (Bisoux, 2015, Mento, et al, 2002, Simonds, 2013, Todd, et al, 2014, Stanleigh, 2013,
Perlman Leppert, 2013). Identifying organizational strengths and weaknesses would ensure that the
resources needed for the culture of change are available (Peck, et al, n.d.). Once leaders have align

The House of Bernarda Alba Federico Garcia Lorca was born in 1898 and died in 1936, he lived
through one of the most troubling times of Spain s history. He grew up in Granada, Spain, and

was a school teacher and encouraged his love of literature, art, and music. He was an extremely
talented man. A respectable painter, a fine pianist, and an accomplished writer. He was close
friends with some of Spain s most talented people, including musician Manuel de Falla, and painter

Not only can she not have Pepe, but she can t have any man. She must stay in mourning and take
care of her mother until she dies. Bernarda is a nasty, mean, unsympathetic lady, and having to
spend all your time loced up with her for the rest of her life is about as bad a punishment as I can
think of. The meetings with Pepe continue until inevitably, things start to get out of hand. The
sisters tell Bernarda that Pepe has been coming and staying late at night, and Angustias insists
that it s not with her. One night, Bernarda catches Adela with straw on her skirt and realizes that
she has been out with him. Bernarda goes out and shoots at Pepe. She shoots at him, but as
Bernarda says herself, It was my fault. A woman can t aim. Adela believes that Pepe has been
shot and kills herself. All things considered, I can t blame her at all, in fact, I very well may

Case Analysis Of Clean Edge
Paramount Health and Beauty Company (Paramount) had entered the new non disposal razor
product, Clean Edge, in 1962 and discussed the new technology on the product through the
managers experiences. It achieved $13 billion of sales and $7 billion in gross profits for 2009.The
company decided to introduce the product into men s market where there is strong presence in
comparison to women s market. The executives of Paramount discussed the changes on this product
and the direct competitors in addition to the substitute products. They are concerned on marketing
and advertising the product, but they argued on the positioning strategy where to launch it as a
niche or mainstream position. The executives also discussed the branding considerations and
marketing budget allocations.

Diary Of Anne Frank Literary Analysis
Have you ever been shot at? Have you ever been in a war? Every single character in The Diary of
Anne Frank and Freedom Writers could ve been able to say yes to that question before they even
entered high school. Anne, the girl who wrote in the diary, tried to survive the Holocaust. The
kids from Freedom Writers , were literally fighting for their lives in the middle of a gang war.
Being forced to grow up so fast like these kids had to cause different problems for each of them.
However, The Diary of Anne Frank and Freedom Writers teach readers that to thrive in life you
have to find a balance between humility and pride. Both in The Diary of Anne Frank and
Freedom Writers , the kids were put into situations that forced them to grow up fast. Some of the
kids in Ms. G s class were trying to provide for their families, and Anne was forced to be way
more self dependent than any young girl should be. Both Anne and the kids of room 203
struggled with Pride. For the kids in Freedom Writers , they had too much pride to admit they
were struggling and couldn t take it. For Anne, she had too much pride to show her real emotions
and thought she didn t need to confide in anyone. Thankfully for them, each of the kids in these
stories had someone to teach them how to be humble. Ms. G and Peter both provide a spot for the
characters to be themselves and not have to act tough or be strong.... Show more content on

awhile. On the other hand the kids in Freedom Writers were struggling but didn t know what to

Being intrigued by the subject, I used the very concept to design a system as part of this project
that acts a platform to receive messages which in fact are commands sent to control different
appliances and devices connected to the platform. As my project, I designed a control system
based on the GSM technology that effectively allowed control from a remote area to the desired
location. The application of the suggested system is immense in the ever changing technological
world as it allows a greater degree of freedom to an individual while controlling the household
appliances or office equipment and eliminates the need of actual presence of individual. 1.4 This
desired system had to be a powerful and flexible tool offering the service at any time, and from
anywhere with the constraints of the technologies being applied. The possible target appliances that
can be attached to the system includes climate control system, security systems, lights and any
other thing with an electrical interface. The proposed approach for designing this system was to
implement a microcontroller based control module that received its instructions and command from
a cellular phone over the GSM network. The microcontroller then would carry out the issued
commands and communicate the status of a given appliance or device back to the cellular phone.

Relationships
What would happen if someone was never loved? What would happen if someone never got in a
fight with another person? Some believe that if someone was never loved, he or she would die.
Those people are right! Some people believe that if someone never got in a fight with another
person, he or she would be ok. Those people are wrong! Loving and fighting are what keep a
person sane. They could be the things to keep a person alive. Having a good and healthy
relationship is so important, because it can be what keeps a person living. If someone was never
loved, that person would feel anger and sadness. Successful suicides are the result of feeling no

Having a close relationship with friends give people someone to talk to about things they would
never say to their parents. It gives those people a chance to learn to accept others opposite opinions
and work together. The importance of having good business relationships is great for someone who
is learning how to cooperate with someone he or she does not necessarily like. It gives that
person a chance to learn to accept others opposite opinions and to work together. Finally, the
importance of a good parent relationship should not have to be explained. Parents must have a
good relationship with their child, because it will keep the child on course. Parents can teach the
child right from wrong and learn from their child s body language how he feels. One of the
biggest mistakes all these relationships have in common is lying to the person with whom they are
forming the relationships. After someone lies to the other person in the relation, he or she tends to
lose respect the person had in their relation. That person will think less about the advice given
from the other person. This is bad for all of the relationships. It breaks trust between friends,
parents, and business partners. Another big error is telling a person not to do something, because it
only makes that person want to do it more. Instead, the person saying no should tell the child,
friend, or business partner why, and, give facts to support that reasoning. Simply

The above example clearly shows why most hard working Americans can not get ahead. You are

the paltry interest that most accounts pay can barely keep up with inflation let alone the dollars

The aim of the current paper is to review and summarize recent research on the human MNS,
asserting that this system may provide the neural scaffold for empathy and, as a result, may have
served as a biological substrate for the evolution of our sophisticated sociality and the morality that
governs it. Section 1 serves as the general introduction, Section 1.1 discusses neuroimaging
evidence in support of the human MNS; Section 1.2 highlights the role of the MNS in
understanding the intentions of others; Section 2 discusses a form of empathy termed emotional
empathy , that is the feeling of other s feelings, putatively through a resonance mechanism
implemented by the human MNS; Section 2.1 discusses the relationship between
emotional empathy and cognitive empathy a form of mentalizing that relies on higher level
cognitive processes; Section
3 discusses developmental evidence on social evaluation and empathy for pain; Section 4 aims to
link action perception to morality, using emotional empathy and social evaluation as stepping
stones, and Section 5 concludes.

Military Force in ThailandВґs Political System
As far as we understand, since the military coup d etat which takes place in 1932, military force
has been one of the major actor in the political system. Unlike political leader and political parties
that aims to win election in order to form the Government and at the same time have a control on
the power; on the other hand, the militaryforce of Thailandwhich is commonly known as Thai
Royal Army feels that they are the stateman , which are responsible for the future of the state.
Therefore, the intervention in the politics is itself because of the sense of responsibility of the
military force to correct what is seem to be incorrect by the political leader of the civilian
Government. This is because, in Thailand, the military force is not answerable to the civilian
Government, but they are only answerable and accountable to the Nation and the King of
Thailand. That is the main reason, why before, a military coup de tat takes place, the Thai Royai
Army must firstly obtain the permission by the King of Thailand; in which the King will only
permits a coup de tat that is for the sake of nation. As stated before, it is the duty of military force
to correct thing which is regarded as incorrect , such as scandal, corruption, bribery and others.
During the year 2000 to 2006, the Government under Thaksin Shinawatrais believed to be corrupted
through several case of corruption in various projects and purchase of assets by the Prime Minister

Introduction
Mrs. Goss is a first grade teacher at Riverside Elementary, in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Riverside is
a Title 1 school. Her class has eighteen students, ten of which are boys and eight are girls. There
are two different ethnicities represented in the class with thirteen students who identify as white
and five who identify as African American. In terms of what levels the students are on in
mathematics, Mrs. Goss identified her class as being evenly split, as six of the students as
below level, six as at level, and six as above level. When my co teacher, Felicia Lemons and I first
met Mrs. Goss and we asked her what were some interesting facts about her students she told us

Goss wrote the objective I can read and write fractions as well as new vocabulary on the board. The
new vocabulary was equal shares, fourths, quarters, halves, one half and one fourth. Mrs. Goss
began the lesson by calling the students to the carpet and asking them to bring their white boards,
which are about 8 ВЅ inches by 11 inches, dry erase markers, and erasers with them. To hook the
students, she had them visualize a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. She then used construction
paper cutouts of a square (which was made by my co teacher and myself for an earlier lesson on
two dimensional shapes and repurposed for this lesson) to represent the sandwich. Next, she drew
a line to divide the sandwich in half to share with a student named Nadalie. Mrs. Goss asked if
Nadalie would want the smaller side of the sandwich. Nadalie replied that she did not want the
sandwich because it was not equal.
Next, she taught her students to signs to represent equal and not equal. Equal was represented
by placing one arm parallel to the other arm with a gap of a few inches to separate them. Not
equal was represented by crossing the arms to create an X with the arms and hands. In her next
example, Mrs. Goss then showed the students a construction paper circle, which was to represent
a cheese pizza. She divided it vertically into two equal halves to share with her husband, Mr. Goss.
Mrs. Goss asked the students if the pizza was equal or not equal and the

How Does Juror Use Argumentative Appeals In 12 Angry Men
12 Angry Men depicts twelve jurors deliberating on the life of a young man accused of murdering
his father. In the beginning, Juror 8 (Henry Fonda) stands alone against eleven other jurors with the
sole plea of not guilty. Throughout the film, Juror 8 brings other jurors to his opinion with the use
of multiple argumentative tactics. More and more jurors join the side of Juror 8 until just one juror
remains with a plea of guilty. Eventually, Juror 3 (Lee J. Cobb) succumbs to an emotional
breakdown and pleads not guilty, saving the defendants life. With the use of a variety of
argumentative appeals, Juror 8 skillfully changes the mind of the other eleven jurors to plead not
guilty. Throughout the film, the jurors use many different argumentative appeals in an... Show more

Marshall). Juror 4 never allowed any emotion to influence his decision and remained calm and
logical throughout the deliberation. For a large portion of the movie, Juror 4 kept the plea of
guilty. This was due to one unshakeable fact: a woman had seen the defendant stab his father
through the window of her apartment. Juror 4 believed that even if all other evidence was
thrown out, the woman had still seen the boy kill his father and he was, therefore, guilty. Juror 9
(Joseph Sweeny) proves this to not be true after he remembered noticing indentations on the
witness s eyes which could only have been formed from wearing eyeglasses. He then proved that
the woman could not have seen the murder take place from such a far distance at night due to
her impaired vision. Since the woman failed to mention her poor vision in trial, her credibility
became in question, and it was proven that the woman could not have seen the murder take place.
Juror 4 understood the logic in Juror 9 s argument, and changed his plea after all logical facts had
been disproven. Logic was the single influencer in the plea of Juror 4, but that was not the case for

Paul Laurence Dunbar And Maya Angelou Comparison
For each of us, freedom plays a very important role in this life. With me, I think there is nothing
which is greater than we are free to do what we want to do, dream what we want to dream or
simply, eat what we want to eat. We all worship freedom. I or Paul Laurence Dunbar and Maya
Angelou do too. Paul Laurence Dunbar and Maya Angelou expressed their freedom through their
poems which are Sympathy and Caged Bird in a very personal, dramatic and profound way.
Although we were published in two different times, I feel that these two poems also have harmonies
in ideas or the way the authors think about freedom in them. Besides, each of them contains their
own characteristics which make them have their own colors and meaning. During the civil rights
era, the racism, that horrible system that discriminates against people based on... Show more content

Maya Angelou and Paul Larence Dunbar were African American, who grew up in that era so
they experienced and felt the sadness and pain that Africa Americans when they became slaves
for White people received at that time. From the same feeling, the same inspiration, the poems
express their feeling when they used to face with that discrimination in their life every single
day. The poems also assert the importance of freedom and its value in life. Besides the
coincidence of the subject and circumstances of the birth of these two poems, there is another
interesting similiar thing is that the image of a bird which is trapped in a cage is used as a
metaphor to symbolize African Americans who suffered racial discrimination during this period. I
feel this is a very interesting metaphor. That same point also makes the poems special and have
very personal beauty , not to be confused with other poems. Birds are always associated as a
symbol of freedom. Everyone

My Experience At Starbucks And Drinking Coffee
I sit in my kitchen every morning, with one eye open, listening to the sound of the dripping water
as it fills the clear decanter with black liquid gold. The smell of hazelnut aroma fills the air and a
sigh of relief escapes my breath knowing that it s almost time to taste the delicious coffee that will
awaken my senses and help me start the new day. Coffee, also known as Joe, Dirt, Brew, Java, Jitter
Juice, and Liquid Energy, has been a staple in my family since I was a small boy. I still remember
my father hunched over the kitchen table reading the morning newspaper while drinking a fresh
cup of Joe. As an adult I have come to appreciate coffee especially in the morning, relaxing with

In addition, carbohydrates play an important role in the coffee bean. Carbohydrates serve as an
aroma binder in raw coffee beans. They help the quality of coffee by contributing to its thickness
and consistency. In other studies carbohydrates in coffee have also been known as dietary fiber
to assist probiotics within the digestive system. Coffee is also the number one source of
antioxidants. This simple drink is concentrated with a group of antioxidants that are called
flavonoids. According to medical journals flavonoids possess antiviral, anti allergic, anti
platelet, anti inflammatory, and antitumor activities. Coffee has been around for many first
discovered in 850 A.D by a goatherder who noticed an energetic change in the goats after eating
the red berries. The name coffee comes from the Kaffa region of Ethiopia where coffee trees grow
wild (). Ethiopia is considered a major exporter of Arabica coffee beans. Arabica trees grown in the
wild have been known to produce coffee beans for up to thirty years. Whereas the shrub or small
tree also known as Coffea, that grows 15 to 20 feet high, will produce a mature fruit that looks like
a cherry and contains two seeds that is surrounded by a sweet pulp. In addition, coffee has been

Doctor-Patient Relationship Essay
More than just a diagnosis
To listen to personal stories of what it is like to be unwell is an incredible way for medical
students and doctors to learn about illness and gain firsthand insight into Whole person care .
Earlier this year, I got the opportunity as part of our ELM3 Healthcare in the Community (HIC)
group to meet and learn about a member of the community with a traumatic brain injury and her
interactions with healthcare professionals and personal journey towards recovery. An open
discussion allowed us to learn about her narrative, which provided many examples of the distinction
between disease and illness and the importance of a patient centered approach to healthcare.
This opportunity is one of many the Otago School of Medicine and its HIC programme have
organised to build a foundation and develop into becoming a well rounded and patient focused
doctor. It has allowed me to learn a vast amount about myself and certainly has expanded my
views on the importance of patient centered healthcare. This essay is a reflective piece where I
will expand on the story of Miss X and some specific learning experiences that have helped me
appreciate the integrated approach to the healing process of medicine as well as the importance of
the doctor patient relationship.
Approximately twelve years ago, at the age of twenty one, Miss X was involved in a motor
vehicle accident resulting in a traumatic brain injury and leaving her in a coma for nine and a half

Changing the Target Audience in Retail Sales
On average, middle aged consumers devote 39 percent of their retail expenditure to department
store products and services, while for younger consumers the average is only 25 percent. Since the
number of middle aged people will increase dramatically within the next decade, department stores
can expect retail sales to increase significantly during that period. Furthermore, to take advantage of
the trend, these stores should begin to replace some of those products intended to attract the
younger consumer with products intended to attract the middle aged consumer. Essay 1: The
argument that department retail sales will increase in the next 10 years and thus department stores
should begin to replace products to attract middle aged... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Ultimately, the argument might have been strengthened by making it clear that the business
volumes of both types of consumers are the same and comparable, that the increase of a certain
type of consumers are correlated with the increase of the retail sales, and that the growth rate of the
younger consumers are the same as that of the middle aged consumers. Essay 3: Based on an
expected increase in the number of middle aged people during the next decade, the author predicts
that retail sales at department stores will increase significantly over the next ten years. To bolster
this prediction, the author cites statistics showing that middle aged people devote a much higher
percentage of their retail expenditure to department store services and products than younger
consumers do. Since the number of middle aged consumers is on the rise and since they spend
more than younger people on department store goods and services, the author further recommends
that department stores begin to adjust their inventories to capitalize on this trend. Specifically, it is
recommended that department stores increase their inventory of products aimed at middle aged
consumers and decrease their inventory of products aimed at younger consumers. This argument is
problematic for two reasons. First, an increase in the number of middle aged people does not

Case Study Of John And His Father s Life
He was dying. There was nothing he could do. John grabbed his father s hand an looked at his
lifeless body on the bed, watching the life slowly leave his eyes. John s father was one of the
many individuals who agreed to be part of a clinical trial. He was suffering from poor health and
needed treatment. Fortunately for him, a team of medical scientists had discovered a foolproof
cure for John s father and many other individuals that share the same illness to have a chance to a
prolonged life.
Sir, we have discovered a new way to treat ailments such as yours; a new drug, boasted the scientist.

However, the approval rate for these developing drugs is the same as it was fifty years prior to
today. Out of the forty three hundred international companies involved in drug development, only
six percent have registered a new drug with the U.S Food and Drug Administration since 1950 (
Arguments Against Animal..., 2016, para.11). Millions of dollars are being spent on research that
produces little advances in the medical field.
In addition to the amount of money, millions of animals are killed in animal testing as well. Each
year, one hundred million plus animals are executed in U.S. laboratories for a range of
experimentations. These animals include mice, rats, frogs, fish, guinea pigs, birds, hamsters,
rabbits, cats, dogs, and monkeys. The lives of many of these animals are taken yet their death has
no contributions to new medicines. Along with the lives, researchers also waste a great deal of
valuable time by using animals to experiment. Each animal experiment can take the scientist
anywhere from two to four weeks and beyond. Again, very few medicines are approved for human
use, in turn, killing millions of animals for nothing and wasting time.
Unnecessary
Continuing, animal testing has been proven to be unnecessary for the development of medicine. In
the past, animals were the only reliable means to develop cures for the world. That was then, this is
now. Today s world has brought forth new means of experimenting. Alternatives to animal testing

Finder s Keeper s is a book by Stephen King and the sequel to Mr. Mercedes. This book is about
two people that are so obsessed over a fictional character, Jimmy Gold, that they go to the
extremes to get ahold of more books surrounding this character. The most important moment in
this story is when Morris breaks into Rothstein s (The author of the Jimmy Gold series) home.
Morris and his partners in crime simply intend to steal money from this individual but Morris
gets angry. He shoots the author in the head and steals the money and finds out that with the
money there are journals. He steals both, intending to horde the journal s like a dragon and it s

This is also the reason why we have the whole external conflict between Morris and Peter in the

of the internal conflicts within both characters is the outright obsession with these books.
People get murdered over these simple journals and it s beyond terrifying for Peter, whom can
relate to Morris. The story end with Morris kidnapping Tina, Peter s thirteen year old little sister.
He takes her to the Rec and uses her as a bargaining chip, fully intending to kill her and her brother.
It ends happily of course, Tina is saved and Morris is left for dead inside a burning building. Of
course, what really made me concerned and hungry for another book was that it was never
stated that Morris died. If I didn t know the horror genre as well as I do, I d say that he s dead. But

The Generation Of The Boomer Generation
Today, three generations work side by side in American businesses, each with their own differing
values. Managers need to recognize their unique characteristics and plan accordingly.
The term Generation Gap entered our daily lexicon in the 1960s when members of the Boomer
generation were teenagers. It recognized the chasm that existed between the Boomers and their
parents in regard to their divergent political views, taste in music, the clothes they wore, and
professional goals:
Baby Boomers hoping for early retirement received a loud wake up call when the economy receded
around them. It looks like many will be on the job for years to come in order to pay off their
mortgaged lifestyles.
That doesn t bode well for Generation Xers, who have been positioning themselves for further
advancement in hopes of an exodus by those Boomers, who might seem old and in the way rather
than mentors of knowledge.
And young Generation Yers are left scrambling for whatever entry level jobs remain in an ever
shrinking and increasingly competitive American workplace.
The entire work environment has been sent spinning as three generations of workers compete for
fewer positions, all complicated by rapid advances in office and communications technologies that
are eagerly embraced by younger workers while seemingly threatening to older ones. What s a
manager to do? Yesterday s and Today s Gap

this was during the Tadeas era and things changed to adapt to the contemporary times. In
contemporary times, the institution is set in Greece but replicated in a different location with the

considered as a prophet because he claimed that the goddess bequeaths him the ability to detect
excess darkness or light in people. As he convinced people into believing his claim, more people
began to join Diamantism and conform to Lucius. Charisma is extremely especially for Lucius
because without charisma, how is he able to recruit more members into the religion to maintain its

The Influences of the Scientific Revolution on the Enlightenment
The Scientific Revolution was a period of rapid scientific advances that occurred in the European
nations between the 16th and 17th century. Famed scientists such as Nicolaus Copernicus and
Galileo Galilei questioned the widely held beliefs on astronomy based upon the assertions of the
Catholic church. These curiosities lead to an unquenchable desire to explore and observe the
occurences of the natural world and slowly lead the scientists away from the authority of the
church. More scientists such as Francis Bacon and Rene Descartes focused their explorations on

Novum Organum, written by Francis Bacon, focused on how to hypothesize during experiments.
Bacon suggested that it is idle to expect any great advancement in science from super inducing and
engrafting of new things upon old. Bacon also emphasized the fact that only referencing arguments
on past experiments was pointless. By only viewing past experiments, it was impossible for
scientists to develop more in their new experiments. The combination of viewing both types of
experiments, new and old, was a major part of inductive reasoning. Descartes focused more on
deductive reasoning compared to Bacon. Rene aspired to create a new system of truth through
deductive reasoning. In his book, I Think, Therefore I Am, he stated that he refused to accept any
knowledge unless it was clearly true. Another one of his methods was to isolate each part of
everything he examined to avoid bias. Descartes found through his methods that deductive
reasoning required only accepting the truth, breaking the problem into parts and analyzing the
problem. John Locke addressed inductive reasoning and deductive reasoning with his theories in his
publication, Some Thoughts Concerning Education. John Locke claimed that every person was
born with a clean slate and their education was vital to their well being. His mission to

Evaluation Of A Tabu Search Generator Based Memory...
Casertaa and Uribe [46] proposed a Tabu Search (TS) based memory mechanism for problem
solving. It was capable of navigating both local information and in formation from search space.
They took tabu tenure as the performance measuring metrics. The efficiency of this algorithm
was verified by testing four benchmark problems using problem solving software. The results
showed that TS produced globally optimal solution in CPU time less than 0.1 seconds. Further
they have generated large random instances for testing and get optimal solutions using branch
and cut solver on them. Conclusions were drawn that proposed method was able to solve
problems having 1300 binary variables in 3 CPU seconds, but branch and cut solver takes 2500
CPU seconds. For larger problems having 2300 binary variables, optimal solution could not be
obtained using branch and cut solver, but nearly optimal solution was obtained using TS with dual
gap of 13%. So it was suggested that TS was able to solve software reliability problems efficiently.
Daz et al. [47] derived a Tabu SearchGenerator (TSGen) for automatic structural software testing
with intensified and diversified search to attain high branch coverage. It also uses memory

Similarities Between The Greek And Roman Civilizations
The Roman civilization a civilization that was created by the Etruscans in north central Italy, also
now known as Tuscany erupted around the first millennium, also around the same time the Greek
civilization was flourishing in the Greek main land. The Etruscans are people of no known origin.
As of now, they are believed to have been migrating from the Asia Minor lands to where they have
settled and started their civilization. The Etruscans civilization seemed to have been influenced by
the classical and early Greek civilizations; religious and art wise. As similar as they were the Greek
and roman civilizations the Romans have made sure to manipulate the art into one that fits their
religion and civilization, a civilization built on... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For an instance, while in the Greek temples, temples were surrounded by continuous rows of
colonnades with one cella at the center and with entrances on both ends, the Etruscan temples
were built with a tripartite cella that had a one direction orientation mostly south that it s walls
extended to the side walls of the temple. Also, unlike the Greeks, who have built their temples on
only a stylobate, the Romans usually built their temples on platforms that are reached by either a
gravel ramp or a staircase till reaching the colonnaded double entrance. However, the change of
plans wasn t the only change, The Romans also took the classical orders established by the Greeks
into modification, where they have manipulated the classical orders into a hybrid order called the
Tuscan , an order that is based on combining the ionic and Doric orders together, where it had the
basic characteristics to the Doric without the fluted shafts and had the ionic capital with larger

Urinary Tract Infections (CAUTI)
According to the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (2015), urinary tract
infections (UTIs) are among the most prevalent healthcare associated infections with 93,300
healthcare related UTIs diagnosed in 2011. Seventy five percent of healthcare acquired UTIs are
catheter associated urinary tract infections (CAUTI). Because of this, major efforts, including the
creation of preventive guidelines, have been made worldwide to reduce the numbers of these
infections. These guidelines center on using catheters only when they are needed and only for as
long as they are needed. They include specific situations in which catheters should be used which
mostly include operative procedures or medical situations that would require... Show more content

They found that there was solid evidence that antimicrobial catheters are able to prevent or at
least delay development of bacteriuria. This ability however varied greatly depending on
population, catheter type, and other variables. Their review showed less advantage over control
catheters for silver alloy coated catheters in current trials than in earlier trials. The authors
hypothesized the possibility of this effect being due to an exaggeration of the effect of these
catheters in earlier trials because of an advantage of newer silicone catheters over the older latex
catheters which dilutes the effect in later trials. They also hypothesized that catheter care had
improved over time. Another finding was that there seemed to be less of an advantage for silver
alloy coated catheters over controls than for nitrofurazone impregnated catheters. Finally, this
review noted many gaps in the literature such as the lack of comparison between treatment
catheters and the lack of studies looking at symptomatic UTI as a primary outcome variable. These
were recommended as a possibilities for future

Differences Between The Northern And Southern Regions...
Civil War Compare and Contrast What are the differences between the Northern and Southern
regions during the Civil War? The North and the South had many differences in their regions and in
their strategies to help them win the war. The things that stood out the most were the geography,
economy, and transportation, and advantages. The Climate in the North consisted of frozen winters
and hot summers. The climate in the South consisted of short winters and long humid summers.
The economy in the North consisted of large factories and mass productions. The economy in the
South consisted of large plantations. The North s transportation was the use of railroads, which was
the fastest transportation at that time. The South s transportation was water.

Talk Shows
TALK SHOWS The television talk show is, on the face of it, a rather strange institution. We pay
people to talk for us. Like the soap opera, the talk show is an invention of twentieth century
broadcasting. It takes a very old form of communication, conversation, and transforms it into a low
cost but highly popular form of information and entertainment through the institutions, practices
and technologies of television.
The talk show did not originate over night, at one time, or in one place. It developed out of forty
years of television practice and antecedent talk traditions from radio, Chatauqua, vaudeville and
popular theater. In defining the talk show it is useful to distinguish between television talk

Successful talk show hosts like Mike Wallace, Johnny Carson, and Barbara Walters bridge
generations of viewers. The longevity of these super stars increases their impact on the forms and
formats of television talk with which they are associated.
Television talk shows originally emerged out of two central traditions: news and entertainment.
Over time hybrid forms developed that mixed news, public affairs, and entertainment. These hybrid
forms occupy a middle ground position between news and entertainment, though their hosts (Phil
Donahue, Oprah Winfrey, and Geraldo Rivera, for example) often got their training in journalism.
Approximately a third of the major talk show hosts listed at the end of the essay came out of news.
The other two thirds came from entertainment (comedy in particular).
Within the journalistic tradition, the names Edward R. Murrow, Mike Wallace, Ted Koppel and
Bill Moyers stand out. News talk hosts like Murrow, Koppel, and Moyers do not have bands,
sidekicks, or a studio audience. Their roles as talk show hosts are extensions of their roles as
reporters and news commentators. Their shows appear in evening when more adult and older aged
viewers are watching. The morning host teams that mix happy talk and information also generally
come from the news background. This format was pioneered by NBC s Sylvester Pat Weaver and
host Dave

A coder looks up codes in a CDT 5 (Current Dental Terminology 5th Edition) just as a medical
coder uses a CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) guide book. Dental coders can find
procedure codes in the HCPCS Level II book as well. The guidelines are pretty much the same for
billers and coders in the dental field versus the medical field. Every examination, procedure, and
surgery must have preauthorization from a third party payer, so the appropriate code can be
submitted.
RADIOLOGY BILLING SERVICES Coders choosing the Radiology field must be knowledgeable
with CPT codes and modifiers. Here are a few services that fall under Radiology: CAT Scans, X
Ray of different Internal Organs, and Nuclear Medicine for Limiting and Curing Internal Disorders.
It is very important to be efficient when applying the correct CPT codes. Coders and billers are
highly trained to be as accurate as possible. CONTRACT REMOTE INPATIENT CODER
In the hospital setting, there are numerous job opportunities for a biller and coder to choose from.
For instance, a contract remote inpatient coder must be able to accurately assign diagnoses and
procedure codes. To name a few, here are some of the qualifications a coder must have: one year
of inpatient coding experience, five years working in the medical field, knowledge of

Breaking The Umbilical Cord Essay
Breaking the Umbilical Cord
By Kelsie Riedesel Since the beginning of time a bond between a parent and child has been
special. The child is considered part of them in many ways. The child is literally half of you in a
biological way. Half of the child s genes are yours and the other half is your partners. This is when
paternal or maternal instincts are activated. When the child is born you take on responsibilities of
being a parent. Whether you raise them on your own or with some help, they are still your
responsibility no matter what. Through the child s life they slowly grow up from an infant to toddler.
Then they start their education in a pre school or go straight to elementary. Soon they complete
elementary and middle school and enter ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some parents even develop empty nest syndrome. Their child is all grown up and heading out
into the world. In their eyes their now college student is still a little elementary student in their
eyes. The child is starting to branch out of the nest and begin their own life. At this point this is
when adulthood sinks into the child now adult. There are some costs to breaking away from a
parent. You are now left to pay and do your own stuff. You no longer have a father or motherto
cook or do laundry for you. You need to do laundry when you wish you want to play video
games. Time to learn how to cook since money is very tight and McDonald s is too expensive.
Wake up at eight at in the morning when you want to sleep in until noon. Time to juggle full time
work with full time school. You start to realize the phrase money makes the world go round is
very true. Basic items like laundry detergent, hygiene, and supplies becomes more important. The
new video game you waited for a long time is too expensive. If you come from a poor family
college is on you and only you. The world of adulthood becomes scary and you become scared.
You begin to question yourself if you will be able to stay in school since tuition went up. You
begin to find desperate ways to make a quick buck and pray no one in your family or inner circle
finds out. You realize life is like gambling. Sometimes you win the jackpot. Sometimes you lose

According to the Oxford Dictionary, motivation is a reason or reasons for acting or behaving in a
particular way . Motivation is also defined as Desire or willingness to do something . So, what
really motivates Saroo to embark on this expedition to find home? Home is where his family is,
and Saroo aspires that he arrives as per planned but most importantly for Saroo, it is about the
destination and not the journey for him. Although in the beginning the destination is unclear, the
journey is set as he makes his way into India, exploring the areas of what he believes he used to
call home. As he embarked on the plane to head home he questions his motives,
Was I Doing the right thing? Did I really need to find out about the past when I had all of these
people who loved me very much here with me now? Yes. Of course the answer was yes. I had to
find out where I was from, if I could, even if only to put it behind me. I wanted to see the place I
had been dreaming about for decades. I got on the plane. (Brierley, 173).
Another boost of motivation for Saroo is through the love expressed by all of the people who have
aided Saroo along the way into finding a home. His adopted parents, his adopted brother Mantosh,
his girlfriend Lisa, and other students with Indian backgrounds aswell; all of which brought Saroo s
long lasting search to a conclusion with their daily support and ideas. One last thought that

Savagery Quotes
Savagery is a part of every person and is the doom to all civilizations. In Lord of the Flies a group
of boys have a plane crash and land on a deserted island. Amidst trying to survive, the boys have to
fight not only each other but the environment as well while trying to relieve themselves from their
inside emotions. In chapter nine is where the intense emotion flow out and where Simon, who finds
the true nature of the beast, wants to caution the others, so he comes from the mountain to try and
warn them. Meanwhile, on the beach, Jack s tribe plus Piggy and Ralph hold a pig roast and a
party which quickly escalates from friendly dancing to intensified chants and shrills. Among the
fierce, intense dance, when Simon comes forth to the beach, he is mistaken for the beast and
murdered. When their emotions get the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The killing of Simon and the beast itself represent the main symbols throughout chapter 9. Fancy
thinking the beast was something you can hunt and kill!. You knew didn t you? I m part of you?
Close, close, close!I m the reason why it s no go? Why things are what they are? (Golding 143).
The Lord of the Flies is talking to Simon saying that the beast is the evil inside us all. Simon
realizes that the beast is not actually real but rather within us, but when he tries to tell the rest of
the boys this, they murder him. Only the beast lay still, a few yards from the sea. Even in the
rain they could see how small a beast it was; and already its blood was staining the sand (153).
Simon represents the goodness and saintliness of the boys and of mankind in general, and
slaughtering him is killing off the good, leading to more savagery and an even weaker civilization.
The realization that the beast isn t real is killed when Simon is. No one realized who or what
they were killing because they were so driven by the fear of the beast and saw something, went
savage, and killed

Washington Wizards Case Study
The Washington Wizards have shown their playoff inexperience throughout this year s playoffs.
The most obvious supporting fact to this claim for the Wizards is their inability to play well on
road. For the Wizards to win this series against the Celtics they must complete a task that they
have failed to achieve this entire season: Win at the TD Garden. Here is what the Wizards will
have to do to increase their chances of winning Game 7. All stars to Super stars John Wall and
Bradley Beal are legitimate all stars. The team is better when both guys are on the court the same
time. In their sole road win these playoffs, the series clinching Game 6 win over the Atlanta
Hawks, John Wall played five more minutes than his minutes per game average. This is not rocket
science: the team will be better if their star athletes play more. It s not that simple though as the
additional minutes increases the probability of diminished returns such as poor play due to fatigue
and out of sync team chemistry due to changes in the lineup rotation among other factors.... Show

Therefore, the Wizards will have to play John Wall and Bradley Beal +40 minutes to increase
their chances of winning game 7. Additionally, in tough road games, the leaders must lead by
example and set the tone for the younger, less experienced, players. Wall and Beal must be more
than average. Going back to their sole road playoff win, Wall and Beal played above average by
combining for 73 points to lead their inexperienced team to victory. This lead by example style by
both players was on display in Game 6 against the Celtics as Wall and Beal scored 13 of the
Wizards 16 fourth quarter points. This must be replicated in Game 7 for the Wizards to be

  • 2. Mergers and Acquisitions Mergers and Acquisitions In modern business environments, there are increasing dynamics encouraging firms to utilize mergers and acquisitions to resolve resource. In dynamic business environments, the value of existing resources is subject to erosion, in some instances fast erosion. Consequently, firms continuously respond to changing environmental conditions by upgrading their resources and capabilities via renewal, acquisition, redeployment, and recombination. Mergers and acquisitions provide firms with a practical tool to close their resource gaps, allowing for a much faster reconfiguration of the product mix toward high profit products than, for example, internal development (Eschen and Bresser, 2005). The need for corporate firms to achieve competitive advantage in a highly competitive global environment has necessitated the implementation of innovative strategies, one of them being mergers and acquisitions (Rizvi, 2010). Mergers and acquisitions have become an increasingly popular strategy for achieving corporate growth and diversification, with the M A activity in the 1990 s smashing all existing records, both in terms of the number of transactions and the size of the deals. The worldwide value of M A increased from $462 billion in 1990 to over $3.5 trillion in 2000. Even though this unparalleled wave of M A drop in the early 2000 s as the global economy cooled off and slid into recession, the M A volume worldwide remains at a much higher level than existed in ... • 3. The Is Like A Rope Of Sand All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. (2 Corinthians 5:18 19 NIV) I spoke yesterday how life is like a rope of sand. You can t hold onto it, no matter how hard you try. We also can t predict what might happen at any moment. My heart has been heavy this past week over the shooting in Oregon. I think about the conversations at breakfast. Plans being made for the weekend or perhaps just for the afternoon. And then in one senseless evil moment nine lives were lost and an entire community was shaken to its very core. Every indicator at this point says that the shooter, for whatever reason, was targeting Christians. I say this with caution because when events like this happen its difficult to completely get a true accounting of the events. BUt let it suffice to say, at this moment the targeting of Christians seems to be the case. How are we, as the church, to respond to something like this? That s not idle question. We may focus more on an event like this because it happens in our own country, but perhaps it ought to wake us up to the truth that Christians are being persecuted all over the world. Always have been, really, in one form or another. Consider, just in the past year or two we have seen a systematic mass murdering of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. The Early Modern Atlantic Economy Edited by J. McCusker... On one hand a group of historian argues the notion that Brazil and the Caribbean experienced a sugar revolution while on the other hand another group argues that there was no such thing as a sugar revolution, what Brazil and Caribbean experienced was simply a sugar boom. In order to assess which group of historians is more accurate, one must first understand the concept of a sugar revolution and what factors must be present in order for a sugar revolution to occur. The concept of a sugar revolution is one that states there was a drastic change from the cultivation of tobacco to the cultivating of sugar cane, changing the country`s economy, politics and social structure within a short period of time. According to B.W. Higman there are... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When sugar cane was introduced those planters who owned small plots of land either had to sell their land, merge their land with another planter and enter into a partnership or buy more land in order to grow sugar cane. Sugar cane could only be grown on large plots of land which ranged from 150 acres to 500 acres in Barbados and in Jamaica 300 acres to 5000 acres. The type of labour also changed within the Caribbean islands of Barbados, Jamaica, Nevis, Antigua and Montserrat from free labour to slave labour. Tobacco cultivation required a very small labour force, but with sugar as the new cash crop a large labour force was needed in which the Dutch provided by bringing African slaves. Therefore the white populations of these countries declined while the black populations increased due to the sugar revolution. Even though the governments of these Islands made efforts to keep the black to white ratio ten to one, according to Greenwood, Robert, Hamber, S, Dyde, Brian the ratio became extremely difficult to maintain during the years passed . This population change occurred during the early years of the sugar revolution up to the mid 1700s. In Barbados there were 18 000 whites and 5 500 blacks in 1645 and by 1660 there were 20 000 whites and 30 000 blacks while Jamaica had 4 500 whites and 1 500 blacks in 1658 to 8 500 whites to ... • 5. Change, Innovation, And Sustainability Change, innovation, and sustainability are common terms in the current global economy. Organizations need to keep the pace or lead the way to maintain its relevancy in the market and keep the competition at bay. Thus sustainability is the key to leading by innovation and change, to improve products and services, in order to remain at the top. Organizations achieve sustainability when they have the ability to develop, innovate, and implement changes that would lead to long term success (Froschheiser, 2014). For organizations to implement and commit to the constant change environment, or organic evolution of change, all stakeholders needto be willing and informed participants. Organic Evolution of Change Creating an organizational mentality of change, is the core of a sustainable organization (Christensen, 2014). Establishments have been faced with the necessity to transition from the traditional approach of stability, which ruled previous to the advancement in technology and globalization, or risk irrelevancy or even destruction (Freytag Hollsen, 2010). Change is provoke by need. Leadership must identify organizational, stakeholder, and market needs to identify reasons for change (Bisoux, 2015, Mento, et al, 2002, Simonds, 2013, Todd, et al, 2014, Stanleigh, 2013, Perlman Leppert, 2013). Identifying organizational strengths and weaknesses would ensure that the resources needed for the culture of change are available (Peck, et al, n.d.). Once leaders have align ... Every single character in The Diary of Anne Frank and Freedom Writers could ve been able to say yes to that question before they even entered high school. Anne, the girl who wrote in the diary, tried to survive the Holocaust. The kids from Freedom Writers , were literally fighting for their lives in the middle of a gang war. Being forced to grow up so fast like these kids had to cause different problems for each of them. However, The Diary of Anne Frank and Freedom Writers teach readers that to thrive in life you have to find a balance between humility and pride. Both in The Diary of Anne Frank and Freedom Writers , the kids were put into situations that forced them to grow up fast. Some of the kids in Ms. G s class were trying to provide for their families, and Anne was forced to be way more self dependent than any young girl should be. Both Anne and the kids of room 203 struggled with Pride. For the kids in Freedom Writers , they had too much pride to admit they were struggling and couldn t take it. For Anne, she had too much pride to show her real emotions and thought she didn t need to confide in anyone. Being intrigued by the subject, I used the very concept to design a system as part of this project that acts a platform to receive messages which in fact are commands sent to control different appliances and devices connected to the platform. As my project, I designed a control system based on the GSM technology that effectively allowed control from a remote area to the desired location. The application of the suggested system is immense in the ever changing technological world as it allows a greater degree of freedom to an individual while controlling the household appliances or office equipment and eliminates the need of actual presence of individual. 1.4 This desired system had to be a powerful and flexible tool offering the service at any time, and from anywhere with the constraints of the technologies being applied. The possible target appliances that can be attached to the system includes climate control system, security systems, lights and any other thing with an electrical interface. The proposed approach for designing this system was to implement a microcontroller based control module that received its instructions and command from a cellular phone over the GSM network. The microcontroller then would carry out the issued commands and communicate the status of a given appliance or device back to the cellular phone. The project was of ... Having a close relationship with friends give people someone to talk to about things they would never say to their parents. It gives those people a chance to learn to accept others opposite opinions and work together. The importance of having good business relationships is great for someone who is learning how to cooperate with someone he or she does not necessarily like. It gives that person a chance to learn to accept others opposite opinions and to work together. Finally, the importance of a good parent relationship should not have to be explained. Parents must have a good relationship with their child, because it will keep the child on course. Parents can teach the child right from wrong and learn from their child s body language how he feels. One of the biggest mistakes all these relationships have in common is lying to the person with whom they are forming the relationships. After someone lies to the other person in the relation, he or she tends to lose respect the person had in their relation. That person will think less about the advice given from the other person. This is bad for all of the relationships. It breaks trust between friends, parents, and business partners. Another big error is telling a person not to do something, because it only makes that person want to do it more. Instead, the person saying no should tell the child, friend, or business partner why, and, give facts to support that reasoning. Simply ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Nadalie replied that she did not want the sandwich because it was not equal. Next, she taught her students to signs to represent equal and not equal. Equal was represented by placing one arm parallel to the other arm with a gap of a few inches to separate them. Not equal was represented by crossing the arms to create an X with the arms and hands. Juror 4 never allowed any emotion to influence his decision and remained calm and logical throughout the deliberation. For a large portion of the movie, Juror 4 kept the plea of guilty. Juror 4 believed that even if all other evidence was thrown out, the woman had still seen the boy kill his father and he was, therefore, guilty. Juror 9 (Joseph Sweeny) proves this to not be true after he remembered noticing indentations on the witness s eyes which could only have been formed from wearing eyeglasses. It recognized the chasm that existed between the Boomers and their parents in regard to their divergent political views, taste in music, the clothes they wore, and professional goals: Baby Boomers hoping for early retirement received a loud wake up call when the economy receded around them. The major part of keeping the group intact is food, home, clothes, and pond to shower in. All of this was during the Tadeas era and things changed to adapt to the contemporary times. In contemporary times, the institution is set in Greece but replicated in a different location with the replicated diamond. In fact, in 1955, there was a leader named Lucius Caelum who was considered as a prophet because he claimed that the goddess bequeaths him the ability to detect excess darkness or light in people. As he convinced people into believing his claim, more people began to join Diamantism and conform to Lucius. Charisma is extremely especially for Lucius because without charisma, how is he able to recruit more members into the religion to maintain its integrity. From there, Lucius began managing and constructing the institution with his view on Diamantism. He provides homes and food for people to stay in the group so they won t be in contact with people in the outside world. One thing that was different compared to the institution during Tadeas s era is that despite there not being any electricity available, the community is livable and is mostly an area to worship the diamond and learn about the religion of Diamantism. The Influences of the Scientific Revolution on the Enlightenment The Scientific Revolution was a period of rapid scientific advances that occurred in the European nations between the 16th and 17th century. Famed scientists such as Nicolaus Copernicus and Galileo Galilei questioned the widely held beliefs on astronomy based upon the assertions of the Catholic church. These curiosities lead to an unquenchable desire to explore and observe the occurences of the natural world and slowly lead the scientists away from the authority of the church. Bacon suggested that it is idle to expect any great advancement in science from super inducing and engrafting of new things upon old. Bacon also emphasized the fact that only referencing arguments on past experiments was pointless. By only viewing past experiments, it was impossible for scientists to develop more in their new experiments. The combination of viewing both types of experiments, new and old, was a major part of inductive reasoning. Descartes focused more on deductive reasoning compared to Bacon. Rene aspired to create a new system of truth through deductive reasoning. In his book, I Think, Therefore I Am, he stated that he refused to accept any knowledge unless it was clearly true. Another one of his methods was to isolate each part of everything he examined to avoid bias. Descartes found through his methods that deductive reasoning required only accepting the truth, breaking the problem into parts and analyzing the problem. John Locke addressed inductive reasoning and deductive reasoning with his theories in his publication, Some Thoughts Concerning Education. It was capable of navigating both local information and in formation from search space. They took tabu tenure as the performance measuring metrics. The efficiency of this algorithm was verified by testing four benchmark problems using problem solving software. The results showed that TS produced globally optimal solution in CPU time less than 0.1 seconds. Further they have generated large random instances for testing and get optimal solutions using branch and cut solver on them. Conclusions were drawn that proposed method was able to solve problems having 1300 binary variables in 3 CPU seconds, but branch and cut solver takes 2500 CPU seconds. For larger problems having 2300 binary variables, optimal solution could not be obtained using branch and cut solver, but nearly optimal solution was obtained using TS with dual gap of 13%. So it was suggested that TS was able to solve software reliability problems efficiently. Daz et al. This ability however varied greatly depending on population, catheter type, and other variables. The authors hypothesized the possibility of this effect being due to an exaggeration of the effect of these catheters in earlier trials because of an advantage of newer silicone catheters over the older latex catheters which dilutes the effect in later trials. They also hypothesized that catheter care had improved over time. Another finding was that there seemed to be less of an advantage for silver alloy coated catheters over controls than for nitrofurazone impregnated catheters. These hybrid forms occupy a middle ground position between news and entertainment, though their hosts (Phil Donahue, Oprah Winfrey, and Geraldo Rivera, for example) often got their training in journalism. Approximately a third of the major talk show hosts listed at the end of the essay came out of news. The other two thirds came from entertainment (comedy in particular).
