The study evaluated the aerobic fitness of district level Indian soccer players using two methods to measure VO2 max: the Queen's College test and the 12-minute run-walk test. Results showed a significant difference in mean VO2 max values, with the Queen's College test yielding a higher average (51.31 ml/kg/min) compared to the run-walk test (41.48 ml/kg/min), suggesting the former is a more reliable field test for assessing aerobic fitness in soccer players. The research highlights the importance of both aerobic and anaerobic capacities in soccer, with implications for training and player selection.
