The D corridor is good for sound recording because the hard surfaces of the walls, tables, and brick reflect sound, making it seem louder. While people and doors in the corridor absorb some sound, it is generally quieter and has fewer absorbing objects than the canteen, resulting in a clearer recording.

we recorded is solid which
enables sound to reflect back
and appear louder. Also the
metal table would enable the
sound to reflect of it so it
bounces back.
The D corridor is a good place to record sound as it’s full of hard objects which reflect the sound. The corridor
itself seemed rather quiet apart from odd noises from few conversations from people walking through it which
is an obstacle for the sound as it would be absorbed by the people and doors which would also absorb the
sound. The corridor itself is a narrow environment which means that the recording would sound more not be
able to travel more places. Also the corridor was a lot quieter than the canteen and had fewer objects which
would absorb the sound being recorded.
Compared to the canteen, the D Corridor is a lot louder than the canteen and seems clearer as corridor hasn’t
got many objects which the sound can be absorbed by. Even though there were a few people within the
corridor at the time, there weren’t as many people in the corridor as there was in the canteen.
