2. Gulf Pertochem Fujairah UAE :( Dec 2012-Till now)
Loading Master:
 Participate in pre‐loading meeting to define and implement the loading sequence such
as tank status on arrival, cool‐down procedure, bulk loading procedure, DE ballasting,
anticipated weather and sea conditions, communications with loading ship &
discharging ship, emergency procedure.
 Ensure that all loading activities are correctly performed in line with
the loading procedures and confirm to the control room that the vessel is ready
(manifold open, pressure/vacuum valves lined‐up, designated cargo tanks open) to
receive cargo.

Maintain formal records of each loading activity (Bill of lading, export certificates,
calculations, NOR, Statement of Facts etc.) and participate post loading meetings.

Additional duties include communicating with the vessel person‐in‐charge utilizing a
portable intrinsically safe two‐way radio, spotting the vessel during arrival to ensure
the vessel headers are lined up with the dock header, secure and proper placement of
the gangway, operating the dock crane while positioning the transfer hose from the
dock to the vessel, assisting in connecting the transfer hose or loading arm to the vessel
product manifold, and during the transfer monitoring the movement on a regular basis
maintaining an hourly log.
 Work closely with the marine surveyor in agreeing to the sequence of the transfer. Such
as whether any product sampling will take place prior to commencement, determining
if a line displacement will occur, agreeing on whether the final stop at completion will
either be a shore stop or a draft stop on the vessel. The marine surveyor gauges the
vessel's tanks and shore tanks to ensure the correct amount of product is transferred.
Additionally, the surveyor or inspector will obtain product samples on the marine
vessel and shore tank for laboratory analysis to ensure that the product meets all
specifications of purity.
 Terminal operatpr:
 Pre‐commissioning and Commissioning of Oil Terminal of 412000cbm capacity.
 Entailing Commissioning and start‐up of various units such as Positive Displacement
and Centrifugal Pumps, Hot Oil Unit, Side Entry Mixers, Fire water System.
 Fuel Oil Import, Export, Storage & Blending.

3. Fujairah Oil Tanker Terminal (POF). ( DEC 2010 TO DEC 2012)
Operation & maintences Fitter:
 Comply and check relevant standard operation procedures of vessel arrival and
departure check list.
 Aligning marine loading arm with vessel manifold in coordination with vessel
crew/pilot through radio communication.
 Marine loading arm connection (MLA) and disconnection as per standard operation
procedures.
 Brief vessel crew regarding safety checks to be done until MLA is disconnection.
 Berth control room watch keeping duties which includes all safety checks of vessel
alongside pier as per ISGOTT standards.
 Line packing and pigging of operations of black/whites as per advice from terminals
shift supervisor.
 Updating of vessel particulars in the berth approach system monitor and hourly
monitoring of cargo movement rates of terminal/vessel.
 Closely monitor cargo line pressure and temperatures of cargo line from the berth to
matrix manifold.
 Regular inspections of various equipment/area in the terminal which includes but not
limited to MLA, quick release hook system, and berth fenders, MOV’s etc.
 Doing stripping operations of black/white products in berth/matrix manifold.
 Internal pipeline cleaning and gauging with different kinds of PIGS.

 To keep the instrumentation system healthy and well accurate for the reliable plant
operation. To do the plan job and reported job of a chemical plant and check the cause
and effects of instrumentation failure and fix the error as per procedures and
standards.

on instrumentation and control systems in assigned field, covering
pumps/compressors & controls, vessels, tanks, valves & piping, distributed control
system (DCS), fire systems.

and others, control valve, etc. All jobs carried out by proper procedures, maintenance

upon depth & outlet discharge, solar trackers operate with timer circuit and sensing
