- Ensure implementation of the Company Safety Management System.
- Ensure compliance to Company procedures and controls, including
assurance activities.
- Ensure relevant work audits e.g Permit to work , etc are completed.
- Ensure team awareness of FSO status by using log book, toolbox talks
handover, etc.
- Ensure competence and appropriate training for all members of the

permit to work system and job safety analysis strictly. Monitor performance of duty, including
job allocation of the other maintenance technician, welder and oilers. Ensure plan maintenance
is carry out for all the engine room machineries. Plan , organize , co-ordinate and control the
safe and efficient operation on board. In charge of all the safety equipment on board. Engaged
in tow out & hook up at ABU Field. Experienced and executed first oil procedures on board
FSO ABU.
From : 2005 – 2006
Company : Malaysia Marine Heavy Engineering, Malaysia.
Position : Commissioning Engineer
Served, Malaysia Marine Heavy Engineering shipyard on FSO Angsi project conversion,
commissioning, start-up and operations of FSO installations for the production of oil and gas.
Working together with our client Talisman Malaysia Limited and Malaysia International
Shipping Cooperation (MISC) to produce maximum production and efficiency, minimize
downtime and overcome a host economic, environmental , logistical and technological hurdles
and challenges. I was also involved on the Deck boiler explosion investigation team consist of
UK Lloyds, MISC,Talisman and Aalborg. We were on board FSO Angsi to investigate and to
find the root cause of the explosion.

Scope of work and responsibilities:
- Work responsibilities are divided into performance monitoring ,maintenance, ensuring
safety , compliance to international standards and managements reporting.
- Involved in the maintenance , trouble shoot and repair of ships main and auxiliary engines,
diesel generators , steam plants and boilers , hydraulic equipments, steering gears , all types
of pumps , deck machinery including winches, anchor windlass , cranes , air-con and
refrigeration equipments, fresh water generators, purifiers and oily water separator , heaters ,
heat exchangers and coolers, turbo chargers and various other machinery.
- Submitting of the monthly maintenance reports on all maintenance done in engine room.
- Overall in charge and total responsibility of the engine room and its continuous operation.
- In charge of the general store and inventory of all machinery.
- In charge of all safety aspects in the engine room and ensure adherence to all safety
regulations.
- Prepare all machineries for continuous machinery survey ( CMS ) which is carry out by the
Classification Societies .
- Ensure that the ship complies with the International Safety Management
( ISM CODE ).

monitor all the fine details and problems in my job in the past for it has helped me avoid major
breakdowns and downtime. I always have kept to most of the schedule for all my undertakings
and also not to blowout the stipulated budget allocation by the management.
