The customer segments dashboard
Click “Create new segment” to proceed to segment creation
Enter a segment name.
Segmentation provides selection from two conditions - AND/ OR
When AND is selected, the segment needs to have the user qualify all the mentioned requirements
When OR is selected, the segment needs the user to qualify any one of the mentioned requirements
User Property has a lot of options to target what we specifically want. Example, take “email(text)”, we can sort out
all such customers on the basis of certain properties as follows.
“Simply have this property” - Having just the given property( email address)
“Does not have this property” - For contacts not having this property ( email address)
“Does not contain following words” - Contacts qualifies only when the mentioned “word” is omitted
“Contains following words” - Contacts qualifies only when the mentioned “word” is present
“Exactly matches” - Exactly matched the given word or set of words
“Starts with” - When the email address starting with a specific alphabet or letter, is present.
“Ends with” - When the email address ending with a specific alphabet or letter, is present.
This example shows selection of “Gender(text)” as a user property , which “Contains following words”
- male. It also demonstrated adding another condition by clicking on “Add new condition”, where the
user property “Gender”, exactly matches the word “Male”.
Words included are not case sensitive.
This example shows selection of “Age(number)” as a user property , which is “Greater than” - 23. It also
demonstrated adding another condition by clicking on “Add new condition”, where the user property
“Age”, exactly matches the number “23”.
Simply has this property - For all contacts having only this property
Does not have this property - For all contacts not having this property
Equals to - When the property equals exactly the given criteria
Greater than - When the property is greater than the given criteria
Less than - When the property is lesser than the given criteria
This example shows selection of Purchased(number) as a user event, whose “first occurrence date less
than” - 30 minutes.
Counts can be equal to, greater than, less than, never occurred, has occurred, first/last occurrence
date less/more than.
From the drop down menu we have a selection of days, hour and minutes to choose from.
This example shows selection of Acquisition_source as a user session, which “exactly matches” -
Google.
From the drop down menu we have a selection of -
Simply has this property - For all contacts having only this property
Does not have this property - For all contacts not having this property
Equals to - When the property equals exactly the given criteria
Greater than - When the property is greater than the given criteria
Less than - When the property is lesser than the given criteria
This example demonstrates the duration of a session chosen under user sessions, from the selection of
browser_chrome. The limit can be set from a selection of -
Simply has this property - For all contacts having only this property
Does not have this property - For all contacts not having this property
Equals to - When the property equals exactly the given criteria
Greater than - When the property is greater than the given criteria
Less than - When the property is lesser than the given criteria
User session has a variety of option to choose from, devices, browsers, operating systems, best
time/date etc. - for their session counts respectively.
This example demonstrates the duration of a session chosen under user sessions, from the selection of
Device_android.
Under the Purchase behaviour, the example above depicts “orders without promo code”, which equals
to 99.
We have a selection of different purchased behaviours such as Average revenue, Last xyz days
GMV/Purchased, orders with/without promocode ( in numerals or percentage), time intervals of
purchase, time of 1st purchase, total refunded amount/orders etc.
Counts can be equal to, greater than, less than, never occurred, has occurred, first/last occurrence
date less/more than.
The example above depicts that under Purchase behaviour, contacts are to be filtered for purchases
made in the last 30 days, which are greater than 9.
This example depicts that under Product interaction, we can choose category as “Creams” - and the events
associated with it such as “Purchased”, for a count of 2.
Under interactions we can choose from product/category/brand. The events associated are viewed,
purchased, wishlist, add to cart, remove from cart, order purchased/refunded.
Counts can be equal to, greater than, less than, never occurred, has occurred, have/have not done this
action, revenue, revenue less/more than.
The above example depicts Segmentation, which is a member of a lifecycle - one time buyer at risk.
Segmentations can be chosen to be a member of or not a member of, a lifecycle, segment or tag.
We get to choose from a selection of lifecycles, segments and tags as defined earlier from the drop
down box.

  • 5. Segmentation provides selection from two conditions - AND/ OR When AND is selected, the segment needs to have the user qualify all the mentioned requirements When OR is selected, the segment needs the user to qualify any one of the mentioned requirements
  • 6. User Property has a lot of options to target what we specifically want. Example, take “email(text)”, we can sort out all such customers on the basis of certain properties as follows. “Simply have this property” - Having just the given property( email address) “Does not have this property” - For contacts not having this property ( email address) “Does not contain following words” - Contacts qualifies only when the mentioned “word” is omitted “Contains following words” - Contacts qualifies only when the mentioned “word” is present “Exactly matches” - Exactly matched the given word or set of words “Starts with” - When the email address starting with a specific alphabet or letter, is present. “Ends with” - When the email address ending with a specific alphabet or letter, is present.
  • 7. This example shows selection of “Gender(text)” as a user property , which “Contains following words” - male. It also demonstrated adding another condition by clicking on “Add new condition”, where the user property “Gender”, exactly matches the word “Male”. Words included are not case sensitive.
  • 8. This example shows selection of “Age(number)” as a user property , which is “Greater than” - 23. It also demonstrated adding another condition by clicking on “Add new condition”, where the user property “Age”, exactly matches the number “23”. Simply has this property - For all contacts having only this property Does not have this property - For all contacts not having this property Equals to - When the property equals exactly the given criteria Greater than - When the property is greater than the given criteria Less than - When the property is lesser than the given criteria
  • 9. This example shows selection of Purchased(number) as a user event, whose “first occurrence date less than” - 30 minutes. Counts can be equal to, greater than, less than, never occurred, has occurred, first/last occurrence date less/more than. From the drop down menu we have a selection of days, hour and minutes to choose from.

The limit can be set from a selection of - Simply has this property - For all contacts having only this property Does not have this property - For all contacts not having this property Equals to - When the property equals exactly the given criteria Greater than - When the property is greater than the given criteria Less than - When the property is lesser than the given criteria User session has a variety of option to choose from, devices, browsers, operating systems, best time/date etc. - for their session counts respectively.

  • 13. Under the Purchase behaviour, the example above depicts “orders without promo code”, which equals to 99. We have a selection of different purchased behaviours such as Average revenue, Last xyz days GMV/Purchased, orders with/without promocode ( in numerals or percentage), time intervals of purchase, time of 1st purchase, total refunded amount/orders etc. Counts can be equal to, greater than, less than, never occurred, has occurred, first/last occurrence date less/more than.
  • 14. The example above depicts that under Purchase behaviour, contacts are to be filtered for purchases made in the last 30 days, which are greater than 9.
  • 15. This example depicts that under Product interaction, we can choose category as “Creams” - and the events associated with it such as “Purchased”, for a count of 2. Under interactions we can choose from product/category/brand. The events associated are viewed, purchased, wishlist, add to cart, remove from cart, order purchased/refunded. Counts can be equal to, greater than, less than, never occurred, has occurred, have/have not done this action, revenue, revenue less/more than.
  • 16. The above example depicts Segmentation, which is a member of a lifecycle - one time buyer at risk. Segmentations can be chosen to be a member of or not a member of, a lifecycle, segment or tag. We get to choose from a selection of lifecycles, segments and tags as defined earlier from the drop down box.
