2. OVERVIEW
Flow and level measurement is critical, particularly for its
widespread use in accounting practice, such as the custody
transfer of fluid from supplier to consumer. With unrelenting
pressure for improved reliability, accuracy, linearity, repeatability
and rangeability, performance requirements have become more
stringent because of the major change in manufacturing processes
and several dramatic circumstantial changes such as the increase in
product cost, S&D logistics challenge as well as the need to
minimize pollution arising from strict HSE compliance regulation.
This course has been carefully designed in partnership with
industry practitioners, to provide a robust knowledge to our
participants on the challenges and solutions associated with high
accuracy transfer of liquid petroleum products from supplier to
customer.
LEARNING OBJECTIVE
At the end of the course, participants will be able to:
Review the basics of fluid mechanics
Identify the fundamental problems related to uncertainty
Compare the different methods of measuring flow in the
oil and gas industries
Describe the various methods of level measurement
Evaluate the different custody transfer standards in use
today
Contrast the methods used in flow calibration
Identify the different types of prover systems
Explain the methodology used in truck custody transfer
Examine the challenges regarding pipelines
Analyze the methodology for monitoring and controlling
production losses
PERFORMANCE FOCUS
Our programmes are significant investment for your workforce.
They are designed to fill identified industry knowledge gap and
provide hands-on applicable know-how that give participants a
deeper insights on their deliverables. The various modules are
cultured to encourage stakeholders to aspire the attainment of
operational efficiency along the business chain
