This document discusses a novel multiport converter for solar PV-battery systems powering standalone loads. The proposed converter uses a reduced stage power converter based on current fed dual active bridge (CF-DAB) topology, which offers galvanic isolation and a high voltage ratio without sacrificing efficiency. It connects a photovoltaic panel, battery, and load via a multiport DC/DC converter and DC/AC inverter to regulate the load voltage. This system aims to maximize energy harvesting from the solar panels and provide backup power from the battery for off-grid applications.
