Having A Kid With Autism Video Analysis
The video talks about the fact of autism. It describes some processes that shows what can be
done while and before pregnancy. It also shoes some percentages where it shows the chances of
a mother when being pregnant has in having a child with autism. It also shows the importance of
eating folic acid these is a great way to preventing on having a kid with autism. The purpose of
this video is to inform you and explain you the whey the kids get autism and how to prevent it.
Not everyone that does this things have a normal kid it could just pass and get a kid it autism or
with any down syndrome. It informs the viewers of all the different procedures and all the

An argument done by the Arthur is that what would help the most in a pregnancy is to eat folic acid.
Something that also come in the video was that it mentions that autism comes because of bad
parenting. What has me thinking about the most is where autism is blamed on bad parenting. I
think that is not nearly as close, because autism has been known that is a condition form birth.
Having 18% chance of having an autism baby wen it is your second child I don t think that can
necessarily be true. Eating folic acid during and before pregnancy is the argument that I do
approve, because I think that if there is something to prevent autism it should be done. We as a
parent should prevent having a autism kid but not everyone has the same luck than others some
moms take really good care of their pregnancy and still get a autism kid so it s not like you could
do something more big to not have a kid like that. But still having a normal kid or a kid with
autism is the same you should love them the whey they

Triangular Number Of Triangular Numbers
Triangular Numbers
Eli Nazarian
Ms. Ramson
H Algebra 2A
October 21, 2014
A triangular number is a number that counts the amount of objects that form when they are put
together to form an equilateral triangle (a triangle with all equal sides). The most common object
used to form a triangle are dots. When the dots create an equilateral triangle, the number of dots
seen in the triangle represent the triangular number. Overall, the sequence is generated from a
pattern of dots which form a triangle.
The first row contains a single dot and each subsequent row contains more dots than the previous
one. The sequence of triangular numbers are: 1, 3, 6,10, 15, 21... and so on.
When working with multiple triangles, each triangle is assigned a triangle number. For example,
triangle one (T1) has a triangular number of one. Triangle three has a triangular number of six. The
letter T, followed but a number represents a certain triangle.
The formula to calculate the amount of object using a stated length is:
Tn(th)= n(n+1) 2
T represents triangle number. N represents the length of the three sides of the equilateral triangle. If
a number (and only whole numbers) were plugged in for N. The final answer of the problem would
equal the number objects (dots) in the equilateral triangle.
Example: n= length of 6Formula: Tnth= n(n+1) 2
Plug in 6 for n. T6th=6(6+1) 2
Solve.T6th= 6(7)T6th=42T6th=21. 22

Animal Learning Assessment
After reviewing the behavior lectures, researching animal learning test and using my own personal
experience I would rank these animals in order of intelligence likewise.
1.Cats
2.Pigs
3.Dogs
4.Cattle
5.Horses
Cats excel across multiple facets of intelligence testing. Having the highest brain weight to body
ratio (1%), 8 common vocalizations, and over 15 complex vocalizations in which they use to
communicate. Yes, I do realize that they may not have preformed as well when it came to the
maze test, coming in at 510 errors before success. Nevertheless, when you combine the results of
all these test I find that cats come out on top. From a performance standpoint they provide he most
reliability and stamina across multiple facets of testing criteria. In a very close ... Show more

However, they lack luster when it comes to brain weight to body ratio (0.05%). This is probably
because of our own human interference, we have raised these animals to be fast growing and
heavy muscled. I have personally worked with pigs and I find them to be incredibly fast learners
but for this discussion I must side with the data and rank them second. In third comes dogs, they
provide the least errors in the maze test (300) and adequate brain to body weight ratio (0.50%).
Although when I research vocalizations online I find that they lack the numbers of the pig and the
cat. In my research I also found that in studies pigs have actually shown a greater learning of tricks
and specific tasks than that of the canine. Surprisingly dogs actually share the lowest number of
erros in the maze test with cattle, but their ability to produce more complex vocalizations and
their higher brain to body weight ratio gives them the upper hand so I leave cattle 4th. Despite
these shortcomings I still prefer cattle over horses in my final decision. Cattle have an average
brain to body weight ratio (0.10%) while also showing strength in the maze test, 300 errors before
success. There is very little

Were The Patriots And Loyalists Justified
In the past, while learning about the American Revolution I had always thought of America as a
united front. The war between the Patriots and Loyalists could even be compared to the war
between America and Britain. The Patriots were not justified in abusing and expelling the
Loyalists. In the actions the Patriots took against the Loyalists, they violated their unalienable
rights, these actions also allowed for history to repeat itself through the civil war in 1861. The
Patriots fought for an admirable cause, as stated in the Declaration of Independence they believed
in fighting for the unalienable rights: that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness
(Ford.153). However, they took these unalienable rights away from the... Show more content on

In 1861, America entered a war within itself, the American Civil War. Both conflicts began in a
similar fashion. In both situations, a party felt like they were being muffled by the government. In
response to their feelings, both groups of rebels decided that they could survive on their own. This
caused friction within both parties and a disconnect between the government and those who
thoroughly believed in its practice and the governed and those who believed that there was more
that could be done. While some believed that it was best to see the government through, it is
understandable to see where some might find it more appealing to demand change. It is interesting
to ponder an alternate end to the American Revolution, while an accent might be nice, we would
live in world where even the simplest necessities would be heavily taxed and America would no
longer be a safe haven for those seeking life, love and the pursuit of happiness, like Thomas Paine
stated in Common Sense This new world hath been the asylum for the persecuted lovers of civil
and religious liberty from every part of Europe (Paine.150). Both groups of people during both
periods of war wanted the best possible outcome for America, unfortunately that was taken too far
when Patriots started abusing Loyalists and expelling them from the

British Culture And Differences Between British And...
While I have been living in the UK for two months, I have noticed many differences between
British culture and Chinese culture, especially in an aspect of social etiquette.
Britain and China are both countries that have the long history and splendid civilisations, have been
known for their ceremonies and etiquette through the ages. However, as the typical representative
of the Western culture and the Eastern culture, it can be something unique and distinct of social
etiquette between this two countries, in the aspects of meeting and greeting, visiting a home, gift
giving, table manners, compliment and gratitude.
The British seem to be reserved when they first meet someone. The handshake is a standard way
of greeting in Britain, even for children, and there are no issues over gender. (10 British Etiquette
and Customs you should learn, 2017) Chinese people also shake hands upon meeting, merely, in
the formal or official occasion, and simultaneously lower their eyes slightly as a sign of respect.
People only nod or salute instead of shaking hands as a greeting to friends and family. In Britain,
sometimes people will embrace or kiss the other person if they are family or a very close friend.
(10 British Etiquette and Customs you should learn, 2017) In China, people seem to be more
conservative because they rarely treat others with hug or kiss unless they are the lovers. Both in
Britain and China, use people s family names is appropriate when you address an unfamiliar person.

The Taconic Orogeny In The Hudson Valley
The Taconic orogeny is evidenced in the Hudson Valley. This orogeny has formed by the
convergence of the Laurentia and the Shelburne arc. The Taconic orogeny has led to the formation
of sedimentary rocks that can be classified into autochthonous and allochthonous, whereas the
Normanskill formation is autochthonous, and five distinctive thrust slices from the low Taconic
sequence are allochthonous. Another feature is the Cortland Complex, which is a late Ordovician
magmatic intrusion formed by norite, gabbro, hornblende norite, monzodiorite, diorite, hornblende
pyroxenite, and peridotite. The sedimentary rocks in the Dutchess county and Westchester counties,
New York, have suffered metamorphism due to convergence activities as well as magma

How Did The Movie Theater Influence The American Culture
The movie theater has a significant influence on the cultural formation of a society. The United
States has always been at the forefront of film history, despite not being the first country to develop
the art of motion filming. It was through film that the US consolidated the American way of Life in
the world. After World War II the United States stepped up their cultural influence, begun in the
1930s and 1940s, using mainly movies. The American cinema began to spread many traces of their
own culture such as habits, customs, behaviors, brands and standards of beauty, which was soon
absorbed by the countries that bought his films.
The importance of the United States for the film industry appears in terms of thinking about film as
a product with a planning directed to key aspects such as production, distribution and exhibition,

In 1912, the Universal Film and Manufacturing Company (now Universal Pictures) became the first

film companies moved to southern California in the city of Hollywood. They were attracted by the
mild climate and sunshine, which allowed shooting outside for most of the year in this region. The
variety of landscapes offered by the surroundings also constitute a reason for this preference. Thus
was born Hollywood that has become the most important center of the film industry on the planet.
At this time, with the First World War, the European film industry was devastated. The United
States began to stand out in the world of film making and importing several films, consolidating its
film industry. The actors made it known throughout the world as major stars, including, comedy
geniuses like the British Charles Chaplin and Stan Laurel Oliver Hardy. Chaplin was one of the

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is an endocrine system disorder, also a hormonal condition
in which the ovaries are enlarged with very small cysts on the outer edges. The hormonal
imbalance creates problems in the ovaries. The ovaries make the egg that is released each month
as part of a healthy menstrual cycle. With PCOS, the egg may not develop as it should or it may
not be released during ovulation as it should be. The enlarged ovaries may be filled with small
collections of fluid called follicles that can be detected through a thorough ultrasound. PCOS
causes a woman s hormones to be out of balance. It can also cause problems with a woman s
monthly period and it can even contribute to the difficulty for a woman to get pregnant. Knowing...

All of these can worsen with obesity. Every woman with PCOS may be affected a little
differently. To be diagnosed with PCOS a woman s doctor looks for at least two of the following
conditions; irregular periods, excess androgen, or polycystic ovaries. Polycystic ovary syndrome
signs and symptoms often start soon after a woman first begins having periods. In some cases,
PCOS develops later during the reproductive years. Symptoms of PCOS start gradually over time.
Symptoms can include several menstrual problems. These can include few or no menstrual periods
or heavy, irregular bleeding. Hair loss from the scalp and hair growth on the face, chest, back,
stomach, thumbs, or toes. Acne and oily skin. Fertility problems, such as not releasing an egg or
repeat miscarriages. Insulin resistance and too much insulin, which can cause things like upper
body obesity and skin tags. Depression or mood swings. Breathing problems while sleeping.
Polycystic ovary syndrome treatment focuses on management of woman s main concerns such as
infertility, hirsutism, acne or obesity. Most treatments are medicines prescribed by a woman s
doctor. To regulate a menstrual cycle, a doctor may recommend combination birth control pills, pills
that contain both estrogen and progestin. These birth control pills decrease androgen production
and give your body a break from the effects of continuous estrogen, lowering your risk of

Compare And Contrast The Manifest Destiny And Territorial...
Manifest destiny and territorial expansion unified the United States from 1830 to 1860 by the
means of creating a sense of safety and peace, increasing the content on the American population,
and aided the economy. Thomas Hart Benton wrote of how more people are moving from Missouri
to Oregon, and promising them that the Government will assist them in doing so by granting them
protection and land. (Document A). This demonstrates how the Government supported the
expansion of the United States, providing protection to those embarking on the journey. President
James Polk also spoke of safety by saying that Texas, as an independent state, is a danger the
safety and future peace of the U.S . (Document F). This shows that annexing Texas kept Americans
safe and America a peaceful place. An editor at the New York Sun wrote of how expanding to the

prosperity to them. (Document H) This would, in turn, also impact the Americans by bringing them

Compare Contrast
ONE IN THE SAME Due to the many similarities and very few differences, an alcoholic and a
workaholic can be considered as being one in the same. According to the medical dictionary a
workaholic is defined as one who has a compulsive and unrelenting need to work (The American
Heritage Stedman s Medical Dictionary). Although some people tend to confuse a hard worker for
a workaholic, some common characteristics that can distinguish the two are that workaholics are
often described as intense, impatient, energetic, competitive, and driven to perfection (Robinson
65). They often blur the line between business and pleasure, and prefer work to leisure regardless
of the time or place. As a consequence, it is not uncommon for workaholics to... Show more content

The Health assessment of an alcoholic is far worse as they can suffer from a number of health
complications and diseases that are associated with alcoholism such as liver disease, alcohol induced
pancreatitis, cancer and cardiovascular disease (Rehm136). Not to mention the many types of
injuries that be sustained while intoxicated, such as alcohol poisoning, broken limbs, or blackouts
(137).
Once a person health and family life begin to become effected it should trigger an alarm that
something is not right. One of the major steps a workaholic must do to help cope with their
problem is to first, recognize that they indeed have a problem. A workaholic must be able to see
that the real root of all their problems is due to their unwavering need to constantly choose work
over family and leisure time. Once a workaholic recognizes and pinpoints the problem the next
step would be for them to accept that they have a problem. At this point it is likely that the
workaholics close friends, family and any others that may be affected come together to express
their concerns and provide support to the workaholic through a process called group intervention
(Dungan 42). The goal of such an intervention is to be able to break through the denial and
emotions felt by the workaholic so that they can believe in themselves and find strength within so
that they may

The Nuclear Family Replaced the Extended Family After Industrialisation
Talcott Parsons believed that the nuclear family developed mainly as a result of industrialisation.
He thought that before the industry took over the functions of the family, the families were
extended units of production. This means that the work and home lives were combined and so each
family member taught another one skill for life such as education. Parsons says that the extended
family stayed together so they could provide health care for one another and look after the old
people whilst the old people looked after the young children whilst the parents were out working.
They also pursued justice on behalf of one another; if ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the first stage, the Pre Industrial family was extended and they all lived and worked together. In
the second stage, the Early Industrial family were extended families beginning to become
geographically mobile, dying out and becoming less common. In the third stage, the Symmetrical
family was the beginning of the nuclear family, where they had split up from extended family into
father, mother, and two children.
However, there are criticisms to the functionalist view that the industrial revolution brought
about the nuclear family. Peter Laslett was a social historian who believed that pre and post
industrial families were mostly nuclear. He studied Northern Europe and found that families
were not likely to consist of a nuclear family structure, but he also found that the average size of
families in Western Europe stayed constant at 4.75 persons, which gives us reason to believe that
nuclear families were around before the industrial revolution. Laslett therefore does not agree with
Parsons or Willmott and Young, as he believes families were already nuclear pre industry and still
are today.

Justice Is The Standard Of True Justice
Through the issue of labor in Bangladesh, we can easily extract a point of view, what is fairness
and justice. In my opinion, according to Rawls s theory of justice, the standard of true justice, it s
hard to apply to the real world. We cannot rule out the influence of the real factors. Therefore, it is
more appropriate and useful to use Rawls justiceas a guideline, although utterly extreme, ignoring
the subject matter of man, but more meaningful. An effective solution to the issue of labor rights
in Bangladesh, the current situation, in a way that is conducive to the majority of ordinary
people in Bangladesh, by this foundation, combined with Rawls more fair justice as a specific

the primary purpose of the social system. And a theory of justice called fair justice. By proposing

equal right to enjoy the broadest and equitable system of fundamental freedoms that is compatible
with a similar system of liberty enjoyed by others. Social and economic inequalities should be
arranged to bring them in the best interests of the most disadvantaged. The principle of saving in

It s The American Way Essay
Most people are always striving to better themselves. It s the American Way . For proof, check
the sales figures on the number of self improvement books sold each year. This is not a pitch for
you to jump in and start selling these kinds of books, but it is a indication of people s awareness
that in order to better themselves, they have to continue improving their personal sellingab abilities.
To excel in any selling situation, you must have confidence, and confidence comes, first and
foremost, from knowledge. You have to know and understand yourself and your goals. You have
to recognize and accept your weaknesses as well as your special talents. This requires a kind of
personal honesty that not everyone is capable of exercising.
In addition to knowing yourself, you must continue learning about people. Just as with yourself,
you must be caring, forgiving and laudatory with others. In any sales effort, you must accept other
people as they are, not as you would like for them to be. One of the most common faults of sales
people is impatience when the prospective customer is slow to understand or make a decision.
The successful salesperson handles these situations the same as he would if he were asking a girl
for a date, or even applying for a new job.

Why Was 1968 A Turning Point In The Vietnam War
Wesley Badger History 1968 is regarded by some historians as a turning point in the Vietnam
war and the beginning of the defeat for the US army. To a large extent this is a valid assessment
of the defeat of the US army in the war. This is largely due to the Tet offensive in 1968. However
one can one can argue that the US was already on course to lose the war before 1968. The Tet
offensive of 1968 is regarded as a major turning point in the Vietnam War and certainly shifted the
momentum of the war in favour of the Viet Cong. The Tet offensive was surprise attack launched

Personal Narrative- Homeless Man Essay
Personal Narrative Homeless Man
My friends often describe me as a cynic and a pessimist. For the most part, they re right. Sentiment
loses value when it permeates one s attitudes and behavior just as the value of a commodity
decreases as it becomes ubiquitous, so as a rule I reserve expressing sentiment for rare occasions that
I deem worthy. Fortunately, even the harshest cynics are surprised sometimes.
To begin, most people in my hometown know who Mike is. But I would bet that ninety nine
percent of those people don t know Mike s name. Mike is a homeless man who lives at the public

lane. I made four left turns at four consecutive stoplights until I approached the library again.
Pulling into the library s parking lot, I turned off my lights, radio, and heat. As I opened the car
door, the cold air stung me like a quick slap to my face. Slowly and uncertainly, I walked toward
Mike.
The street was eerily quiet as I crossed. So was Mike. Staring at me unwaveringly, he said nothing
as I approached. The crow s feet framing his eyes, the ridges in his forehead, and the crinkles in his
cheeks still stand out in my mind. How many nights had he lain on that bench, covering his face as
the wind whipped against it? Now he hugged his body tightly. He was wearing an old pair of tan
khakis, a shirt that I couldn t see clearly, and a light multi colored jacket, its sleeves ending above
his pale wrists, that was just slightly too small and clung to his body. As I gave him the money in
my wallet, he took it slowly and stared at it for a second in disbelief. Although the street in front of

characters. However, the definition of love may not be the common, affectionate feelings
between two people. Based on the article, An Experiment in Love, by Martin Luther King, he
explained how love, or agape, could have several different connotations. Harper Lee was able to
demonstrate Matin Luther King s concept of love through several different character interactions.
First, Martin Luther King described his concepts of love as the Greek word, agape which could be

The basic point King brought up claims that agape springs from the need of the other person his
need for belonging to the best in the human family (King 19). Here the audience can see that the
origin of love (agape) came from the need of another person s will to belong to the best. King is
trying to get the audience to make the connection that individuals who practice agape are the
best in the human family, and this is proven as he later on says, The Samaritan who helped the
Jew on the Jericho Road was good because he responded to the human need that he was
presented with (King 19). This statement by Dr. King was closely related to the scene in To
Kill a Mockingbird in which Boo Radley had secretly put a blanket around Scout when she was
busy looking at the fire (Lee 96). As Harper Lee describes, Scout was busy staring at the fire and
not even paying attention to Boo Radley. Even then, Boo showed signs of agape as he decided
to cover up Scout in case she was cold in the night without expecting anything in return such as a
thank you. Boo Radley did not need to nurture Scout that night, but because he did, Harper Lee
showed another one of King s concepts because of Boo s desire to help others in need and to be a
better person overall. Towards the final chapters of the novel, Boo demonstrated agape again as he

Netflix Is The Worlds Leading Internet Television Network
Netflix is a movie business that s offers a variety of ways for customers to view movies. The
company offers traditional DVD rental by mail and instant streaming on Netflix ready devices
that could be hooked up to one s TV. Netflix uses a subscription based model, that allows
customers to utilize their services through a per month fee rather than a pay as you go rate.
Although the company used to offer a combined subscription rate for DVD rentals and online
streaming together, in 2011 Netflix divided these features into the two packages. It is $7.99 for the
basic online streaming package and $7.99 for the DVD rental by mail package. If a customer wants

They have done so by creating mutually beneficial relationships with a number of entertainment
video providers. Their second main strategy is focused on product differentiation. Not only how
customers obtain the content and use it, but also what customers choose what to watch. Netflix s
leading competitive advantage lies within their unique software. The software takes what a
customer has watched or rated and based upon that information builds a list of suggested titles
similar to ones they have just watched. While other companies like Blockbuster has transitioned
into the rent by mail niche category that Netflix had started, no other company has customer
profiling software quite like Netflix. It is continuously updating their smart selection technology to
keep up with customer needs. Over the past few years the film rental market underwent a major
shift. The in store rental market plummeted by nearly $2 million, while vending machine rentals
increased by about ten times the amount and by mail rentals nearly doubled. However, Video On
Demand (VOD) services obtained through cable, digital, and subscription also saw even larger
increases. All of these changes meant companies like Blockbuster and Hollywood Video had to
either restructure and make a complete business model shift or face bankruptcy. Meanwhile, the
increases for by mail rentals and VOD subscription, both of which services

Madagascar Lemurs And Spies Sparknotes
This documentary, Madagascar, Lemurs and Spies, was touching both in terms of realization of
what is at stakes here and the overall separation there is between our society and what happens in
the most biodiverse places on the planet Earth. The overall combination of beautiful landscapes
from Madagascar, the sensibility and love for these animals shown by the scholar living there and
the constant danger and drama present in this situation of conservatism on this Island produce a
perfect accord for a great documentary. The beauty of the Silky Sifaka or pure white lemurs is
astonishing and it is a shame that we need to protect so intensively creatures of this value. They are

Most of the trees cut down will be used especially for furniture like tables, chairs, or desks, but
also for expensive guitars like Gibsons. The amount of wood timbered illegally is both impressive
and terribly sad. The saddest part is that without even realizing it we are complicit in this situation
since most guitars and furniture are sold in the United States, Europe or even China as mentioned
in the documentary. These objects sell for a lot of money to wealthy people and this contributes to
the development and growth of illegal deforestation. I find unbelievable the amount of wood taken
down and at the same time there is no action made by the government to stop the trade. It seems
that foreign countries do more the conservation of the forest and the specie than the country of
Madagascar or at least this is how it is depicted in the documentary. Overall, this short movie
provides a good point of view on the situation, however, I believe that there is not a strong enough
emphasis on the other threats possible like global warming, hunting or any other possible
conservation issues. It is mainly focused on the wood trade and the danger concerning lemurs in
this place, but usually species are not endangered just because of one cause. Global warming is a
growing concern all around the world and Madagascar, being an island, could be touched even
more by the sea level

Essay Mergers and Acquisitions
Nowadays mergers and acquisitions are regarded as a key strategic option for the organisations all
over the world. According to Huang and Kleiner (2004) mergers and acquisitions have become the
principal means by which companies have the opportunity to grow revenues due to factors such as
gloabalisation, rapid technological changes, a long term bull market and strategic barriers to
growth. Porter and Singh (2010) admit that mergers and acquisitionsplay an important role in
reallocation of resources in an economy. Despite the huge increase of corporate mergers and

Roll (1986) states that the hubris model indicates that over confident managers make wrong
estimations about the value of the potential targets and as a consequence they decrease the value of
their shareholders wealth when the acquisition is completed.
The main objective of mergers and acquisitions is to increase market share and shareholder value
by decreasing costs and implementing improved services (Nguyen and Kleiner 2003). Each
organisation in this process targets the strengths and the capabilities of the other in order to
improve its position in the market. Stallworthy and Kharbanda (1988) argue that one of the main
objectives of mergers and acquisitions is the acquirer s diversification with minimum cost in
order to be protected and be restructured in a possible crisis. Keenan and White (1982) mention
that firms seek for synergies in order to diversify and reduce the possibility of bankruptcy, achieve
a better fit between the talents of corporate managers and the resources at their disposals and
simultaneously acquire a bigger market share. Moreover Moon (1976) remarks that many firms
choose to spread the risks by branching out into other unrelated industries or trades.
Furthermore, mergers and acquisitions give the opportunity to buyers to grow faster, to achieve
larger scales of economies and profitability with an existed market share, to eliminate a competitor
by acquiring it and complete effective

Key Elements Of Resolving Conflicts
One of the main elements in resolving conflicts is the ability to forgive. Forgiveness is both an
important part of it and it is of great significance. Having the ability to show forgiveness is one
of the first steps in the healing process, after a conflict has occurred in order to find peace and be
able to move forward. The purpose of this paper is to explore and research how much of an
important and significant role that forgivenessdoes play in the ability to resolve conflicts. James
5:16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be
healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working (Holy Bible ESV).
When a person is able to admit when they are wrong, and take accountability for their actions,
that is the first step in being able to not only forgive others but also themselves. Forgiveness may
not happen come immediately, and an I m sorry may not be enough for one person to be able to
forgive the other, but one it is a good first step and it opens the door to having reconciliation to
be completely successful. Colossians 3:13 Bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint
against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive (Holy
Bible ESV). When a person has the ability to show and give forgiveness, they will be able to find
peace and be able to lead a well balanced life as God intended., if forgiveness is unattainable it does

Williams history and current relationships with her family speak of close ties with nature. Her

Obedience In 1984
The complex mind of the species: homo sapien, is made up of a network of independent and
influenceable ideas and feelings. To rein the human into submission is quite an astounding feat. In
the famous novel, 1984 by George Orwell, a struggle between the people, the Outer Party, and the

How Technology Can Be Short Range Communication

Car to car communication is a leading technology that may hit the market in upcoming two three
years .The technology that warns for imminent collision will be in cars soon and it will help car to

say Wi Fi like. The range is up to 300 meters or 1000 feet or about 10 seconds at highway speeds
(not 3 seconds as some reports say).
2.3 Mesh Network
Car to car communication would be a mesh network, which means every node (car, smart traffic
signal, brakes etc.) can transmit, capture and retransmit signals. Approximately five to ten hops on
the network would congregate traffic state a mile ahead. That would be sufficient time for even the
most inattentive driver to take care off.
2.4 GPRS (General Packet Radio Service)
A packet switched technology that allows data communications.
GPRS is a packet based wireless communication service that provides data rates from 56 up to 114

It supports a wide range of bandwidths.

car needs to cooperate with other car in car to car (c2c) in order to share and make use of external
resources in an efficient way. To ease the interaction between drivers and another car driver and

Basis Of Apologetics
Right from the time of the apostles and throughout the history of the Christian Church, believers
have been engaged in the defence of the Christian faith. This defence is often referred to a an
apology (not to be confused with the typical English meaning of a request for forgiveness). This
give rise to a branch of study in the Church called Apologetics. This lesson explores the
theological basis for apologetics and its relevance for propagation of the Christian faith. This
will be done through an exploration of the meaning of apologetics and the method of doing
apologetics. A.THE MEANING OF APOLOGETICS This section will begin with a word study
to understand the meaning of the word apologetics . Further, the biblical usage of this term in
the New Testament will be the basis for understanding the meaning and concept of apologetics.
1.Definition of Apologetics The word apologetics is derived from the Greek word apologian,
meaning defense. The standard Greek lexicon, BAG, gives the meanings defense, reply, or excuse
(Bauer 2000:96). Its use in the New Testament is frequent. These biblical uses of apologia and its
derivatives show that this word means defence (McGrath 1998:5). Apologetics is generally used to
refer to the defence of the faith. Many of these references... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

has been associated with what has been called fideism (Fide is the Latin word faith). Hence,
fideism is literally faith ism and implies the demand for faith without the need of intellectual
grounds for believing (Spencer 1987:90 91). Naturally, fideism sees not need for apologetics.
Fideism is an untenable position as it amounts to abandoning rational thought (McGrath1998:5).

Economic Policies Implemented During President Reagan s...
Reaganomics refers to economic policies implemented during President Reagan s administration
from 1981 1989. The main ideology of Reaganomics was conservation which promoted that
government is the problem, not solution . That means, society and market would function better
with limited government power and regulations. Accordingly, Social wealthwas distributed by
unrestricted market, and profits that capitalists earned would trickle down to the bottom of
society. In this way, people were in charge of improving their lives instead of relying on the aid of
government. In order to recover from the economic crisis occurred between 1981and1982, the
major Reaganomics objectives was to reduce government intervention in business and social aids.
The policies were specified as marginal taxcut, tightening money supply, reducing social welfare
programs and regulations. Generally, Reaganomics that impact citizens the most would be tax cut,
reducing welfares and regulations.
First of all, the marginal tax cut was one of the most significant policy in the governing of
President Reagan. Starting from 1981, government reduced individual tax (the top tax rate was
reduced from 70% to 50 %) and Windfall profit tax. As the Tax reform act of 1986 published, the
tax rate of wealthiest Americans was decline to 28 % and corporation tax was decreased to 34%.
In addition, as marginal tax rate for wealthy people decreasing, personal exemption amount
increased from $1,080 to $2,000. That means,

The Dynamics of Brice Family
Brice Family Dynamics
Presenting Problems Overall, the Brice family has some clear issues that are causing stress for
everyone, including their adolescent daughter Claudia. The family did not believe in the power
of family therapy, yet they had little places to turn to in response to Claudia s growing anger
problems. They had tried therapy before, but to no avail. We are introduced to their problems both
from a description of the anger between each other and their own explanations of what is going on.
Their son Don is absent, both literally and figuratively, showing how he tends to avoid the overall
family struggles. Claudia s role in the family dynamic was described early on by her mother, yet
this explanation was done in a very isolating way for Claudia. Her mother explained her strange
ideas, but that only invoked a strong and angry reaction from Claudia herself. In fact, the two
seemed to feed off one another in terms of their anger. It is clear that the main issues were a
discrepancy between what Claudia wanted her life to be like and the heightened rules and
expectations her family was imposing on her. Mother and daughter continuously engaged in
fighting, clearly not seeing each others point of view, but too caught up in their own emotional
reactions regarding the situation. The fact that Don wasn t present just put more highlight on
Claudia, and showed how the family viewed her as the problem, not taking responsibility for it
themselves. This was felt by

Good And Evil In The Real World
Within the natural world good and evil simply does not exist. The framing of your reality is
based solely on your perception. Good and evil is the result of that perception. If you distinguish
something as good, than it is. If you distinguish something as evil, than it is. Some swoop in at the
last minute to save the baby stroller rolling into oncoming traffic from its impending doom!
However who is the villain, as far as, the mother who just pushed that baby stroller into oncoming
traffic is concerned? Good and evilis a judgement, a judgement where we consider something to be
of high value or not. Perhaps the mother has decided that her baby is not valuable enough to to
outweigh the troubles it brings. A person makes a judgement based on their own perception;
therefore perception of good and evildepends on the one perceiving it.
The dynamic between a person s perception, and how others perceive the world around them make
it possible for anyone to play the villain.

Benefits Of Illegal Immigrants
Since Many years ago immigrants have come to this country for a better life and more
opportunities. Having faced a difficult life in their home country, immigrants want to work for
a better future. They will risk their lives to go to a place where they can get more opportunities
and better their life. Immigrants value the country that allows them to work and improve
themselves. Many people think illegal immigrants should get deported. They think this way
because they are afraid immigrants are going to take over their country and take all of the
benefits and jobs that the country offers. On the other side, I think illegal immigrants should not
get deported from the U.S. because they are not a danger to society and some were brought here
as kids. This means they were not aware they were here illegally. Immigrants are not a danger to
society if they live or work with us. In the eyes of their advocates, they are families and workers,
taking the jobs nobody else wants, staying out of trouble, here only to earn their way to better,
safer lives for themselves and their children (Robbins). The evidence helps to prove the topic by
showing how illegal people are not here to hurt others they are here to make a better future and
have a good career. Also they live their life like other citizens. For example, they work hard and
at the end of the day they sit with their families because they know that value of being in America.
This shows immigrants are very responsible and follow rules and know that if they break them this
will affect them terribly. Some people believe that illegal immigrants are taking jobs but the reality
is they are only бє—aking the jobs nobody else wants. For example, they work in the fields,
factories and other jobs that do not pay much but is hard labor. Illegal immigrants come to this
country because they know there are jobs that no one else want to work in. Also if the U.S
deports all the immigrants many jobs will stay empty because Americans will not want to work
in those jobs. If there is no illegal immigrants in these jobs then the US economy will go down.
There are a lot of illegal immigrants who are waiting for a work permit or green card. They wish
they had a green card so they feel safe

An Exploration of Gothic Horror Stories Essay
An Exploration of Gothic Horror Stories Gothic horror is a type of romantic, horror fiction based
on irrational fear that predominated in 18th century England. The term gothic originated from the
architectural style of the middle ages, but came to describe the dark, terrifying tales that achieved
such popularity. Gothic horror can be determined by many things which exist in all gothic horror
stories, for example eerie settings such as gothic monasteries, bleak comfortless castles, grave
yards and cobwebbed rooms lit by guttering candles. It can also be determined by a unique
character such as a beast, monster, ghost, evil creature and innocent person. Usually the innocent
person is killed... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
All three stories were written in the 19th century. They were all set at the same time when they
were written. This is a good effect because at the time when they were written, horror stories
containing superstition and the macabre were popular because the people at that time believed
in witchcraft, ghosts and demons. The location of the action is of great importance in the gothic
novel because it creates an atmosphere and feeling to the story. The Judges House is located in
the dining room of an old, quiet and isolated house. An old, rambling, heavy built house, this
creates a scary atmosphere thus matching the typical setting of a gothic horror story. It goes on
to describe the dining room as a, room in darkness, this also creates a scary and terrifying
atmosphere because you cant see in the dark and you don t know what s in the dark, this also is
an essential gothic horror element because darkness creates a creepy and scary atmosphere. The
Tell Tale Heart is located in a house that is probably old as a lantern is used by the narrator, this
creates a scary atmosphere like the Judges House because you cant see in the dark and you don t
know what is in the darkness so the reader imagines things that create the scary atmosphere,

Art, Literature And Society From 1955-1970 Essay examples
Fear and Loathing in a Clockwork AgeAh! The noble search for identity. That intangible
achievement that all artists lust after and lay in torment over. And during the post war era that
struggle reached incredible magnitudes. The world cried out for legions of anti heroes, who were

many counter culture messiahs as was needed to quot;Damn the Man quot;.

To the Beats the only solution to a life of domestic stagnation was to pack up and let life lead you
down one winding road after another. There was a certain comfort in the unknown. Ambiguity
turned survival into a triviality, while one could find the deepest meaning in chance and whimsy.
When mere existence doesn t seem to be guaranteed it s the little moments of perfection that
become one s focus. No other Beat poet understood that concept as well as Jack Kerouac. quot;Jack
Kerouac single handedly created the beat generation.

awaited him after death. This was in opposition to his friend and fellow beat Allen Ginsberg.

The Pros And Cons Of Performance-Based Budgeting
Budgeting is a process to plan budget which is used to describe fiscal expectation, expenditure and
future planning of an individual, organization or government within a given period of time
(Olawale, et al. 2012). Up until now, there are many methods of budgeting for governments such as
traditional (line item) budgeting, zero based budgeting, and performance based budgeting. Due to its
simplicity, the traditional budgeting which listed groups of expenditure using last year s data such
as office supplies, salary, electricity bill and used incremental approach on them (Navin, 2003) has
become the most popular one in many countries. However, many people criticize this budgeting
method because many believe that this budgeting method is ineffective and inefficient . As a result,
since 1990s, many countries have reformed their budgeting method to performance based budgeting
which use performance information in budgetprocesses (Lee and Wang, 2009). Despite the trend of
budgeting reform in the world, some developed... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In some countries performance based budgeting is known as budgeting results and performance
funding (OECD, 2007). Young (2003) stated that most experts agree that, Performance based
budgeting (PBB) is the allocation of funds to achieve programmatic goals and objectives as well as
some indication or measurement of work, efficiency, and/or effectiveness . PBB links directly the
expected results and resource requirements (Navin, 2003). It is clearly shown that result is the focus
of this budgeting method. Navin (2003) also said that performance measure is important in PBB
because it shows whether the activities of the government departments actually make a difference
in people s life. Although performance would not be the only factor in a budget allocation decision,
it has a significant contribution in the decision making process because it could give better informed

Human Papillomavirus Vaccine Education
Human Papillomavirus is a broad term used to describe over one hundred and fifty related
viruses. The Human Papillomavirus, better known as HPV is named for the warts (papillomas)
that become present on the skin of an HPV victim. HPV is transmitted via intamainte skin to skin
contact. Each year a small number of cases of HPV go unknown because no symptoms are
present or the body fights away the virus. Other cases that do not go away commonly are
expressed in genital warts and cancers. Some cancers commonly developed from HPV are cervical,
vaginal, anus, back of the throat, tonsil and tongue cancers (What). In recent years researchers, ...

A study of college age women showed that approximately 70% of women with HPV infections
became HPV negative within 1 year and as many as 91% of them became HPV negative within 2
years, with a median duration of infection of 8 months. Certain HPV types, such as HPV 16, are
associated with increased rates of persistence; however, in the previously mentioned study, the 24
month clearance of HPV 16 was 72%. Thus, the majority of these infections clear. Other factors
associated with persistent HPV infection include age higher than 30, parity, infection with multiple
HPV subtypes, immunosuppression, smoking, and oral contraceptive use.
Cervical intraepithelial neoplasia caused by HPV can clear without treatment, but the rate of
clearance varies according to the severity of the lesion; high grade lesions have a greater rate of
progression to cervical cancer (Blackman). Sixty percent of CIN 1 lesions are likely to regress
spontaneously, 10% are likely to progress to CIN 3, and only 1% is likely to progress to invasive
cancer. For CIN 3, these numbers are quite different: approximately one third of these lesions are
likely to regress, and the rate of progression to cervical cancer is greater than 12% if left

Lab Safety Code At Biosafety Labs
Chemistry laboratories pose a threat to the consumer; however, they also affect the researcher. A
young Singaporean researcher contracted Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) through an
experiment that had gone wrong. At first many people thought he was sickened with this disease
because there was a SARS crisis all around Asia; however, that was not the case. In the article,
SARS Experts want Labs to Improve Safety Practices, the researcher claimed that he didn t have the
background to understand how to handle dangerous agents. Due to the chemistrylab, the researcher
was injured. This then formulated an international problem in which the national legislation
instructed a very detailed safety code at biosafety labs. Many amateur experimenters do not
know lab safety by heart so they tend to perform dangerous actions that may lead to injuries or
death depending on how potentially dangerous the experiment is. In my personal experiences, I
have seen many improper lab practices in which I helped teach people how to correctly perform
these actions. This includes adding acids to water and not the reverse way because acids may
bubble and splash everywhere, pouring liquids from small containers to big containers unless a
valve is available is favored because it is easier to spill the content from a big container into the
small container, and to wear close toed shoes in order to prevent falling dangerous materials from
making contact with skin. As one may see, there are very

Advantages Of Top Up Budgeting
QUESTION 1 In developing an annual budget accompanies may choose to adopt either top
down budgeting approach or bottom up budgeting approach. In the finance ministry bottom
down budgeting was a traditional way used in budget formulation. Top down budgeting came in
the 1990s as a motivation to curb the fiscal deficits in which it lead to fiscal crisis in other
countries. Top down budgeting was found that it helps and manages well the fiscal deficit
efficiently unlike bottom up budgeting approach. Countries like Denmark, Korea Sweden,
Australia, Netherlands, and Chile etc actively use top down budgeting because it helps in
getting information for the evaluation of new initiatives and also in reviewing of programs for
monitoring purposes. Sweden adopted top down budgeting approach because of the series of
huge fiscal deficits it used to incur and it came to be that top down budgeting saved them. Top
down budgeting is advantageous since it is done multiyear unlike bottom down budgeting which
is annually. Top down Budgeting saves on time since it has delegated authority to take care of
the budgeting process unlike Bottom down approach which is time consuming. Bottom up
approach ignores economic forecast since it involves ministry by ministry analysis unlike top
down approach which focuses on economic forecast as it is bases more in fiscal analysis. In top
down budgeting there is ownership of proposal whereby the ownership is joint unlike bottom up
approach where the ownership proposal is specific. We are able to see that top down budgeting is
more advantageous to use in budgeting approach. Countries like Netherlands, Chile and Canada
have independent bodies for economic forecast. Since Top down budgeting successes is seen in the

Education And The Current System Of Teaching
In the history of education, there are many events and people which one could say are the most
important in the development of the current systems of teaching. Here, I have put together a
summary of five such monumental events and influential people which I consider the most
important regarding schooling and educationin the U.S.. Starting with the first establishment of
higher education in the U.S., Harvard University, and the first public library, set up in 1698 in
South Carolina, and the evolution controversy, which has been ongoing since 1925, and significant
figures including John Locke, and Christian von Wolff, the following text describes their
importance to the current workings of public school systems in the U.S..
The Massachusetts Bay Colony is responsible for putting into place the first institute of higher
education in the U.S., beginning with nine students in 1836 (History | Harvard University). I
believe this to be an important step in the educational history of the U.S. because today, we have
many post secondary institutions, and the normalization of such education is important. It is
evident that it is being normalized, as Harvard University started with only nine students and
nowadays has more than 20,000 students aiming for a degree (History | Harvard University). In
1690, John Locke, a philosopher and political theorist, as well as a teacher at the University of
Oxford, published an essay titled the Essay Concerning Human Understanding (Connolly). In it,

America s Role in the World Trade Organization Debate Over China
The open question on Chinese accession, both in the WTO and in China itself, is whether China is
more likely to adopt and sustain economic reforms if it is granted early membership or if
membership is delayed until policy reforms are undertaken. (Schott 40, 1996)
I. Introduction
This observation from Jeffery Schott of the Institute for International Economics captures the
essence of the China World Trade Organization debatein America and the world today. China s
unprecedented economic growth has put it at the forefront of the US trade agenda. America s is the
biggest economy and China s is the most populous nation, in terms of sheer number of people. To ...

(To see full text of his The Wealth of Nations, click here.) His stance on this issue, were he alive
today, can be expressed through a simple syllogism. Adam Smith supports open trade and opposes
mercantilism as a state s national economic policy. (More about Adam Smith) China acceding to
the WTO would force it to open its market and diminish if not eliminate most of its protective
policies. Therefore, Adam Smith would encourage the United States to push for China s accession
to the WTO.
The United States has much to gain from an easily accessible, transparent Chinese economy of 1.2
billion consumers. America, though, is determined to obtain certain market opening concessions
and promises from China before its formal accession, and is equally determined to define China s
status as a developed nation rather than developing going into the WTO. A nation s status upon
admittance, developed or developing, carries very significant implications for the applicant. The
status of China will determine the timetable for its obligations and liberalizations. This, too, will
be touched on in greater detail again, but the basic argument is as follows: China wants to accede
as a developing country, as this would give China much more time in adjusting to the WTO
demands and in dismantling its protective barriers. The United States, however, because it wants
quicker access to China s markets and faster reforms on China s part, is pushing

Heteronormativity In Let It Go
The Disney cinematic universe is riddled with an obscene heteronormativity that appears to be
subverted in Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck s, Frozen. The entirety of this film removes itself from
the particular expected narrative of its counterparts. This is particularly clear in the title song of the
film, Let it Go. Sung by queer icon Idina Menzel, this song seems to divulge from the implications
of heteronormativityand showcase clear insinuations of a coming out narrative . Using the works
of Somerville, Freud, Wittig, and Butler this paper will aim to follow the protagonist through the
song and her queer narrative. Unbound by the typical narrative of heterosexual love and freed by
self expression, this song allows for a clear queer reading... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Using Somerville s concepts of heteronormativity, it is possible to experience the expectations of
Elsa s parents and society. She sings, don t let them in, don t let them see, be the good girl you
always have to be it is expected that she will conform to the norms of society and act as the
proper woman and monarch. In Subjects of Sex, Gender, Desire, Judith Butler speaks of norms
of intelligibility, namely what is accepted as normal by a society. Elsa has hidden away and
refused to let people see within her, she hides so as not to be presented as freakish or monstrous.
She is unable to fully present herself in a way that would be viewed as normal or expected so
she instead removes herself from the view of her society. Butler also mentions the concept of the
heterosexual matrix and the expectations of a heteronormative society. Elsa lives in a society
that instructs her to hide the aspects of herself that do not conform to the expected norms, she
alters the perception of herself so as to fit into the mold of the heterosexual matrix. She escapes it
only by accepting aspects of herself that are non normalized and inherently odd. After escaping
this society she realizes the freedom in full expression of self, I m never going back, the past is in
the past she realizes the power in her own

The Divine Comedy vs. Paradise Lost
Full Circle В– from Sin to Salvation
Great works of literature have been written throughout history. However, The Divine Comedy
and Paradise Lost have the inept ability to stir the soul and cause a person to examine and re
examine their life. The brilliant descriptions, use of imagery, metaphor and simile give a person
a vivid picture of the creation of man and the possibilities for life in the hereafter. This is done, as
a person is able to see, full circle, from the beginning of time to the end of time, the consequences
of turning away from God. The ability to see a life full circle is apparent through the examination of
both of these poems. Although written many years ago, the morals and principles that they convey

After a short hike, they arrive at ante purgatory, which was the area designated for those who
died without receiving full repentance or without receiving the holy sacrament before their death.
After ante purgatory, they enter purgatory, where an angel inscribed the letter P seven times on
Dante s forehead. Each letter represented one of the seven deadly sins. Those seven sins include
pride, envy, anger, sloth, avarice, gluttony, and lust. Each P will be erased as Dante travels
through the areas that were reserved for those who had committed each of the seven sins. As each
P is erased by an angel from Dante s forehead, the journey becomes easier and easier for Dante.
In Purgatory, even though people inhabit different levels, they are able to eventually move on to
heaven if they receive enough prayer to rid them of their sins. The seventh terrace is the highest
level of purgatory. When Virgil and Dante finally reach that terrace, they must pass through a

Improving Business Writing
Why is writing important in business? Writing is essential in any form of business. We use writing
in all types of communication such as: email, facsimile, letter writing, etc. Writing skills are
important to the business professional because it prepares the workplace for well written business
communications. The three topics I will cover can serve as an outline for improving writing skills in
businesses. The topics are principles of business writing, how to write an effective business letter,
and how to improve business writing within the company. These topics will aid in examining and

Following the Attention Line is the Body. The body contains detailed information about the
topic. The body includes the introductory paragraph, one or more body paragraphs, and a
concluding paragraph. Finally, there is the closing. The closing is usually ended with a
complementary closing and signature. A list of examples include: Sincerely, Cordially, Best
regards, and Yours very truly. Remember to capitalize the first word in the complimentary
closing and end it with a comma. After the closing, there is a copy line. When the copy line is
used, other people know who will be receiving a copy. The copy line usually includes a symbol:
c: for copy, pc: for photocopy, and bc: blind copy (used only to limit readers of other copies). The
names of the recipients should follow these symbols listed in organizational rank (Writing@CSU:
Writing Guide, 2004, p. 1). All of the components discussed above are effective ways to write an
effective business letter. An effective business letter speaks to a specific reader. Therefore, the right
type of business letter must reach the reader. The most common types of business letters are: 1)
Acknowledgement Letters, 2) Adjustment Letters, 3) Complaint Letters, 4) Inquiry Letters, 5)
Order Letters, and Response Letters. (Writing@CSU: Writing Guide, 2004 p. 1). These type letters
helps guide the reader to understanding what the writer intended. Nothing can be more

Literary Elements In John Steinbeck s Of Mice And Men
Much like tasty ingredients assemble to prepare a delectable pizza, a compilation of literary
elements combine to form a successful novel. John Steinbeck also uses literary elements to
develop the theme in Of Mice and Men. The novel takes place in the 1930 s which lead the
characters, to deal with societal barriers. Unconventional relationships are relationships which are
atypical, unaccepted or untraditional according to society s standards, however they prevent the
characters like Lennie, George, and Candy from becoming lonely. The characters all encounter
some sort of societal thresholds dealing with the relationships they re in, and since everyone seems
to be on their own, many people in the story become lonely. Conflict, characterization... Show more

Lennie and George have an unconventional relationship which prevents them from being
lonely. George and Lennie converse about their relationship, Guys like us, are the loneliest guys
in the world...But not us! An why? Because... because I got you to look after me and you got me
to look after you and that s why! (Steinbeck 14). Lennie and George have each other, and their
unconventional relationship prevents them from becoming lonely. The italics used in the quote
give the characters voices a tone that seems like it should be read like a song. The indirect
characterization of speech and the way that Steinbeck displays the speech, with italics, it seems
as though Lennie is giddy with excitement, when dreaming about their life. Because the readers
have concluded that Lennie has a childish nature, they can infer how Lennie would be saying
this, and therefore develop his childish, naive character. Likewise, when Lennie and George
compare themselves to the society by saying, But not us! its direct characterization which shows
their us against the world type of relationship. Additionally, despite Curley s wife s place in a
conventional relationship, she confesses her loneliness to Lennie. She confides in Lennie and
tells him how her and Curley s relationship evolved, So I married Curley. Met him out to the
Riverside Dance Palace that same night...I ain t told this to nobody before... I don like Curley.
He ain t a nice fella (Steinbeck 88 89). Curley s wife settled for him, and now she can t get out of
it, because she s stuck. Steinbeck s use of italics for the word like with a negative connotation,
stresses the dislike that she has towards her husband, as well as how awful a situation she s in.

It also shoes some percentages where it shows the chances of a mother when being pregnant has in having a child with autism. It also shows the importance of eating folic acid these is a great way to preventing on having a kid with autism. The purpose of this video is to inform you and explain you the whey the kids get autism and how to prevent it. An argument done by the Arthur is that what would help the most in a pregnancy is to eat folic acid. Something that also come in the video was that it mentions that autism comes because of bad parenting. What has me thinking about the most is where autism is blamed on bad parenting. I think that is not nearly as close, because autism has been known that is a condition form birth. Having 18% chance of having an autism baby wen it is your second child I don t think that can necessarily be true. Eating folic acid during and before pregnancy is the argument that I do approve, because I think that if there is something to prevent autism it should be done. We as a parent should prevent having a autism kid but not everyone has the same luck than others some moms take really good care of their pregnancy and still get a autism kid so it s not like you could do something more big to not have a kid like that. But still having a normal kid or a kid with autism is the same you should love them the whey they ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Triangular Number Of Triangular Numbers Triangular Numbers Eli Nazarian Ms. Ramson H Algebra 2A October 21, 2014 A triangular number is a number that counts the amount of objects that form when they are put together to form an equilateral triangle (a triangle with all equal sides). The most common object used to form a triangle are dots. When the dots create an equilateral triangle, the number of dots seen in the triangle represent the triangular number. Overall, the sequence is generated from a pattern of dots which form a triangle. The first row contains a single dot and each subsequent row contains more dots than the previous one. The sequence of triangular numbers are: 1, 3, 6,10, 15, 21... and so on. When working with multiple triangles, each triangle is assigned a triangle number. For example, triangle one (T1) has a triangular number of one. Triangle three has a triangular number of six. The letter T, followed but a number represents a certain triangle. The formula to calculate the amount of object using a stated length is: Tn(th)= n(n+1) 2 T represents triangle number. N represents the length of the three sides of the equilateral triangle. If a number (and only whole numbers) were plugged in for N. The final answer of the problem would equal the number objects (dots) in the equilateral triangle. Example: n= length of 6Formula: Tnth= n(n+1) 2 Plug in 6 for n. T6th=6(6+1) 2 Solve.T6th= 6(7)T6th=42T6th=21. 22 The ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Animal Learning Assessment After reviewing the behavior lectures, researching animal learning test and using my own personal experience I would rank these animals in order of intelligence likewise. 1.Cats 2.Pigs 3.Dogs 4.Cattle 5.Horses Cats excel across multiple facets of intelligence testing. Having the highest brain weight to body ratio (1%), 8 common vocalizations, and over 15 complex vocalizations in which they use to communicate. Yes, I do realize that they may not have preformed as well when it came to the maze test, coming in at 510 errors before success. Nevertheless, when you combine the results of all these test I find that cats come out on top. From a performance standpoint they provide he most reliability and stamina across multiple facets of testing criteria. In a very close ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, they lack luster when it comes to brain weight to body ratio (0.05%). This is probably because of our own human interference, we have raised these animals to be fast growing and heavy muscled. I have personally worked with pigs and I find them to be incredibly fast learners but for this discussion I must side with the data and rank them second. In third comes dogs, they provide the least errors in the maze test (300) and adequate brain to body weight ratio (0.50%). Although when I research vocalizations online I find that they lack the numbers of the pig and the cat. In my research I also found that in studies pigs have actually shown a greater learning of tricks and specific tasks than that of the canine. Surprisingly dogs actually share the lowest number of erros in the maze test with cattle, but their ability to produce more complex vocalizations and their higher brain to body weight ratio gives them the upper hand so I leave cattle 4th. Despite these shortcomings I still prefer cattle over horses in my final decision. Cattle have an average brain to body weight ratio (0.10%) while also showing strength in the maze test, 300 errors before success. There is very little ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Were The Patriots And Loyalists Justified In the past, while learning about the American Revolution I had always thought of America as a united front. The war between the Patriots and Loyalists could even be compared to the war between America and Britain. The Patriots were not justified in abusing and expelling the Loyalists. In the actions the Patriots took against the Loyalists, they violated their unalienable rights, these actions also allowed for history to repeat itself through the civil war in 1861. The Patriots fought for an admirable cause, as stated in the Declaration of Independence they believed in fighting for the unalienable rights: that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness (Ford.153). However, they took these unalienable rights away from the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In 1861, America entered a war within itself, the American Civil War. Both conflicts began in a similar fashion. In both situations, a party felt like they were being muffled by the government. In response to their feelings, both groups of rebels decided that they could survive on their own. This caused friction within both parties and a disconnect between the government and those who thoroughly believed in its practice and the governed and those who believed that there was more that could be done. While some believed that it was best to see the government through, it is understandable to see where some might find it more appealing to demand change. It is interesting to ponder an alternate end to the American Revolution, while an accent might be nice, we would live in world where even the simplest necessities would be heavily taxed and America would no longer be a safe haven for those seeking life, love and the pursuit of happiness, like Thomas Paine stated in Common Sense This new world hath been the asylum for the persecuted lovers of civil and religious liberty from every part of Europe (Paine.150). Both groups of people during both periods of war wanted the best possible outcome for America, unfortunately that was taken too far when Patriots started abusing Loyalists and expelling them from the ... • 6. British Culture And Differences Between British And... While I have been living in the UK for two months, I have noticed many differences between British culture and Chinese culture, especially in an aspect of social etiquette. Britain and China are both countries that have the long history and splendid civilisations, have been known for their ceremonies and etiquette through the ages. However, as the typical representative of the Western culture and the Eastern culture, it can be something unique and distinct of social etiquette between this two countries, in the aspects of meeting and greeting, visiting a home, gift giving, table manners, compliment and gratitude. The British seem to be reserved when they first meet someone. The handshake is a standard way of greeting in Britain, even for children, and there are no issues over gender. (10 British Etiquette and Customs you should learn, 2017) Chinese people also shake hands upon meeting, merely, in the formal or official occasion, and simultaneously lower their eyes slightly as a sign of respect. People only nod or salute instead of shaking hands as a greeting to friends and family. In Britain, sometimes people will embrace or kiss the other person if they are family or a very close friend. (10 British Etiquette and Customs you should learn, 2017) In China, people seem to be more conservative because they rarely treat others with hug or kiss unless they are the lovers. Both in Britain and China, use people s family names is appropriate when you address an unfamiliar person. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Manifest destiny and territorial expansion unified the United States from 1830 to 1860 by the means of creating a sense of safety and peace, increasing the content on the American population, and aided the economy. Thomas Hart Benton wrote of how more people are moving from Missouri to Oregon, and promising them that the Government will assist them in doing so by granting them protection and land. (Document A). According to the medical dictionary a workaholic is defined as one who has a compulsive and unrelenting need to work (The American Heritage Stedman s Medical Dictionary). Although some people tend to confuse a hard worker for a workaholic, some common characteristics that can distinguish the two are that workaholics are often described as intense, impatient, energetic, competitive, and driven to perfection (Robinson 65). The Health assessment of an alcoholic is far worse as they can suffer from a number of health complications and diseases that are associated with alcoholism such as liver disease, alcohol induced pancreatitis, cancer and cardiovascular disease (Rehm136). Not to mention the many types of injuries that be sustained while intoxicated, such as alcohol poisoning, broken limbs, or blackouts (137). Once a person health and family life begin to become effected it should trigger an alarm that something is not right. One of the major steps a workaholic must do to help cope with their problem is to first, recognize that they indeed have a problem. A workaholic must be able to see that the real root of all their problems is due to their unwavering need to constantly choose work over family and leisure time. Once a workaholic recognizes and pinpoints the problem the next step would be for them to accept that they have a problem. At this point it is likely that the workaholics close friends, family and any others that may be affected come together to express their concerns and provide support to the workaholic through a process called group intervention (Dungan 42). The Nuclear Family Replaced the Extended Family After Industrialisation Talcott Parsons believed that the nuclear family developed mainly as a result of industrialisation. He thought that before the industry took over the functions of the family, the families were extended units of production. This means that the work and home lives were combined and so each family member taught another one skill for life such as education. Parsons says that the extended family stayed together so they could provide health care for one another and look after the old people whilst the old people looked after the young children whilst the parents were out working. However, there are criticisms to the functionalist view that the industrial revolution brought about the nuclear family. Peter Laslett was a social historian who believed that pre and post industrial families were mostly nuclear. He studied Northern Europe and found that families were not likely to consist of a nuclear family structure, but he also found that the average size of families in Western Europe stayed constant at 4.75 persons, which gives us reason to believe that nuclear families were around before the industrial revolution. Laslett therefore does not agree with Parsons or Willmott and Young, as he believes families were already nuclear pre industry and still are today. ===================================================================== Michael Anderson was also a social historian who agreed with Parsons because he believed that the pre industrial families were mainly extended. • 14. Justice Is The Standard Of True Justice Through the issue of labor in Bangladesh, we can easily extract a point of view, what is fairness and justice. In my opinion, according to Rawls s theory of justice, the standard of true justice, it s hard to apply to the real world. We cannot rule out the influence of the real factors. Therefore, it is more appropriate and useful to use Rawls justiceas a guideline, although utterly extreme, ignoring the subject matter of man, but more meaningful. An effective solution to the issue of labor rights in Bangladesh, the current situation, in a way that is conducive to the majority of ordinary people in Bangladesh, by this foundation, combined with Rawls more fair justice as a specific guidance, which can give a Relative justice. • 16. It s The American Way Essay Most people are always striving to better themselves. It s the American Way . For proof, check the sales figures on the number of self improvement books sold each year. This is not a pitch for you to jump in and start selling these kinds of books, but it is a indication of people s awareness that in order to better themselves, they have to continue improving their personal sellingab abilities. To excel in any selling situation, you must have confidence, and confidence comes, first and foremost, from knowledge. You have to know and understand yourself and your goals. You have to recognize and accept your weaknesses as well as your special talents. This requires a kind of personal honesty that not everyone is capable of exercising. In addition to knowing yourself, you must continue learning about people. Just as with yourself, you must be caring, forgiving and laudatory with others. In any sales effort, you must accept other people as they are, not as you would like for them to be. One of the most common faults of sales people is impatience when the prospective customer is slow to understand or make a decision. The successful salesperson handles these situations the same as he would if he were asking a girl for a date, or even applying for a new job. Learning your product, making a clear presentation to qualified prospects, and closing more sales will take a lot less time once you know your own capabilities and failings, and understand and care about the prospects you ... Why Was 1968 A Turning Point In The Vietnam War Wesley Badger History 1968 is regarded by some historians as a turning point in the Vietnam war and the beginning of the defeat for the US army. To a large extent this is a valid assessment of the defeat of the US army in the war. This is largely due to the Tet offensive in 1968. However one can one can argue that the US was already on course to lose the war before 1968. The Tet offensive of 1968 is regarded as a major turning point in the Vietnam War and certainly shifted the momentum of the war in favour of the Viet Cong. • 18. Personal Narrative- Homeless Man Essay Personal Narrative Homeless Man My friends often describe me as a cynic and a pessimist. For the most part, they re right. Sentiment loses value when it permeates one s attitudes and behavior just as the value of a commodity decreases as it becomes ubiquitous, so as a rule I reserve expressing sentiment for rare occasions that I deem worthy. Fortunately, even the harshest cynics are surprised sometimes. To begin, most people in my hometown know who Mike is. But I would bet that ninety nine percent of those people don t know Mike s name. Then I accelerated slowly, waiting for the car on my left to pass as I changed over to the left lane. I made four left turns at four consecutive stoplights until I approached the library again. Pulling into the library s parking lot, I turned off my lights, radio, and heat. As I opened the car door, the cold air stung me like a quick slap to my face. Slowly and uncertainly, I walked toward Mike. The street was eerily quiet as I crossed. So was Mike. Staring at me unwaveringly, he said nothing as I approached. The crow s feet framing his eyes, the ridges in his forehead, and the crinkles in his cheeks still stand out in my mind. How many nights had he lain on that bench, covering his face as the wind whipped against it? Now he hugged his body tightly. He was wearing an old pair of tan khakis, a shirt that I couldn t see clearly, and a light multi colored jacket, its sleeves ending above his pale wrists, that was just slightly too small and clung to his body. As I gave him the money in my wallet, he took it slowly and stared at it for a second in disbelief. Throughout the novel, Ms. Lee displayed love through the actions of the main characters. However, the definition of love may not be the common, affectionate feelings between two people. Based on the article, An Experiment in Love, by Martin Luther King, he explained how love, or agape, could have several different connotations. Here the audience can see that the origin of love (agape) came from the need of another person s will to belong to the best. King is trying to get the audience to make the connection that individuals who practice agape are the best in the human family, and this is proven as he later on says, The Samaritan who helped the Jew on the Jericho Road was good because he responded to the human need that he was presented with (King 19). This statement by Dr. King was closely related to the scene in To Kill a Mockingbird in which Boo Radley had secretly put a blanket around Scout when she was busy looking at the fire (Lee 96). As Harper Lee describes, Scout was busy staring at the fire and not even paying attention to Boo Radley. Even then, Boo showed signs of agape as he decided to cover up Scout in case she was cold in the night without expecting anything in return such as a thank you. Boo Radley did not need to nurture Scout that night, but because he did, Harper Lee showed another one of King s concepts because of Boo s desire to help others in need and to be a better person overall. These objects sell for a lot of money to wealthy people and this contributes to the development and growth of illegal deforestation. I find unbelievable the amount of wood taken down and at the same time there is no action made by the government to stop the trade. It seems that foreign countries do more the conservation of the forest and the specie than the country of Madagascar or at least this is how it is depicted in the documentary. The purpose of this paper is to explore and research how much of an important and significant role that forgivenessdoes play in the ability to resolve conflicts. James 5:16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working (Holy Bible ESV). When a person is able to admit when they are wrong, and take accountability for their actions, that is the first step in being able to not only forgive others but also themselves. Forgiveness may not happen come immediately, and an I m sorry may not be enough for one person to be able to forgive the other, but one it is a good first step and it opens the door to having reconciliation to be completely successful. Colossians 3:13 Bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive (Holy Bible ESV). The main ideology of Reaganomics was conservation which promoted that government is the problem, not solution . That means, society and market would function better with limited government power and regulations. Accordingly, Social wealthwas distributed by unrestricted market, and profits that capitalists earned would trickle down to the bottom of society. In this way, people were in charge of improving their lives instead of relying on the aid of government. In order to recover from the economic crisis occurred between 1981and1982, the major Reaganomics objectives was to reduce government intervention in business and social aids. The policies were specified as marginal taxcut, tightening money supply, reducing social welfare programs and regulations. Generally, Reaganomics that impact citizens the most would be tax cut, reducing welfares and regulations. First of all, the marginal tax cut was one of the most significant policy in the governing of President Reagan. • 35. The Dynamics of Brice Family Brice Family Dynamics Presenting Problems Overall, the Brice family has some clear issues that are causing stress for everyone, including their adolescent daughter Claudia. The family did not believe in the power of family therapy, yet they had little places to turn to in response to Claudia s growing anger problems. They had tried therapy before, but to no avail. We are introduced to their problems both from a description of the anger between each other and their own explanations of what is going on. Their son Don is absent, both literally and figuratively, showing how he tends to avoid the overall family struggles. Claudia s role in the family dynamic was described early on by her mother, yet this explanation was done in a very isolating way for Claudia. Her mother explained her strange ideas, but that only invoked a strong and angry reaction from Claudia herself. In fact, the two seemed to feed off one another in terms of their anger. It is clear that the main issues were a discrepancy between what Claudia wanted her life to be like and the heightened rules and expectations her family was imposing on her. Mother and daughter continuously engaged in fighting, clearly not seeing each others point of view, but too caught up in their own emotional reactions regarding the situation. Perhaps the mother has decided that her baby is not valuable enough to to outweigh the troubles it brings. A person makes a judgement based on their own perception; therefore perception of good and evildepends on the one perceiving it. • 37. Benefits Of Illegal Immigrants Since Many years ago immigrants have come to this country for a better life and more opportunities. Having faced a difficult life in their home country, immigrants want to work for a better future. They will risk their lives to go to a place where they can get more opportunities and better their life. Immigrants value the country that allows them to work and improve themselves. Many people think illegal immigrants should get deported. They think this way because they are afraid immigrants are going to take over their country and take all of the benefits and jobs that the country offers. On the other side, I think illegal immigrants should not get deported from the U.S. because they are not a danger to society and some were brought here as kids. This means they were not aware they were here illegally. Immigrants are not a danger to society if they live or work with us. In the eyes of their advocates, they are families and workers, taking the jobs nobody else wants, staying out of trouble, here only to earn their way to better, safer lives for themselves and their children (Robbins). The evidence helps to prove the topic by showing how illegal people are not here to hurt others they are here to make a better future and have a good career. Also they live their life like other citizens. For example, they work hard and at the end of the day they sit with their families because they know that value of being in America. This shows immigrants are very responsible and follow rules and know that if they break them this will affect them terribly. Some people believe that illegal immigrants are taking jobs but the reality is they are only бє—aking the jobs nobody else wants. For example, they work in the fields, factories and other jobs that do not pay much but is hard labor. Illegal immigrants come to this country because they know there are jobs that no one else want to work in. Also if the U.S deports all the immigrants many jobs will stay empty because Americans will not want to work in those jobs. If there is no illegal immigrants in these jobs then the US economy will go down. There are a lot of illegal immigrants who are waiting for a work permit or green card. An Exploration of Gothic Horror Stories Essay An Exploration of Gothic Horror Stories Gothic horror is a type of romantic, horror fiction based on irrational fear that predominated in 18th century England. The term gothic originated from the architectural style of the middle ages, but came to describe the dark, terrifying tales that achieved such popularity. Gothic horror can be determined by many things which exist in all gothic horror stories, for example eerie settings such as gothic monasteries, bleak comfortless castles, grave yards and cobwebbed rooms lit by guttering candles. The location of the action is of great importance in the gothic novel because it creates an atmosphere and feeling to the story. An old, rambling, heavy built house, this creates a scary atmosphere thus matching the typical setting of a gothic horror story. The Pros And Cons Of Performance-Based Budgeting Budgeting is a process to plan budget which is used to describe fiscal expectation, expenditure and future planning of an individual, organization or government within a given period of time (Olawale, et al. 2012). Up until now, there are many methods of budgeting for governments such as traditional (line item) budgeting, zero based budgeting, and performance based budgeting. Due to its simplicity, the traditional budgeting which listed groups of expenditure using last year s data such as office supplies, salary, electricity bill and used incremental approach on them (Navin, 2003) has become the most popular one in many countries. However, many people criticize this budgeting method because many believe that this budgeting method is ineffective and inefficient . A young Singaporean researcher contracted Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) through an experiment that had gone wrong. At first many people thought he was sickened with this disease because there was a SARS crisis all around Asia; however, that was not the case. In the article, SARS Experts want Labs to Improve Safety Practices, the researcher claimed that he didn t have the background to understand how to handle dangerous agents. Due to the chemistrylab, the researcher was injured. This then formulated an international problem in which the national legislation instructed a very detailed safety code at biosafety labs. In my personal experiences, I have seen many improper lab practices in which I helped teach people how to correctly perform these actions. In the finance ministry bottom down budgeting was a traditional way used in budget formulation. Top down budgeting came in the 1990s as a motivation to curb the fiscal deficits in which it lead to fiscal crisis in other countries. Top down budgeting was found that it helps and manages well the fiscal deficit efficiently unlike bottom up budgeting approach. Countries like Denmark, Korea Sweden, Australia, Netherlands, and Chile etc actively use top down budgeting because it helps in getting information for the evaluation of new initiatives and also in reviewing of programs for monitoring purposes. Sweden adopted top down budgeting approach because of the series of huge fiscal deficits it used to incur and it came to be that top down budgeting saved them. Top down budgeting is advantageous since it is done multiyear unlike bottom down budgeting which is annually. Top down Budgeting saves on time since it has delegated authority to take care of the budgeting process unlike Bottom down approach which is time consuming. Bottom up approach ignores economic forecast since it involves ministry by ministry analysis unlike top down approach which focuses on economic forecast as it is bases more in fiscal analysis. In top down budgeting there is ownership of proposal whereby the ownership is joint unlike bottom up approach where the ownership proposal is specific. We are able to see that top down budgeting is more advantageous to use in budgeting approach. Countries like Netherlands, Chile and Canada have independent bodies for economic forecast. Education And The Current System Of Teaching In the history of education, there are many events and people which one could say are the most important in the development of the current systems of teaching. Here, I have put together a summary of five such monumental events and influential people which I consider the most important regarding schooling and educationin the U.S.. Starting with the first establishment of higher education in the U.S., Harvard University, and the first public library, set up in 1698 in South Carolina, and the evolution controversy, which has been ongoing since 1925, and significant figures including John Locke, and Christian von Wolff, the following text describes their importance to the current workings of public school systems in the U.S.. The Massachusetts Bay Colony is responsible for putting into place the first institute of higher education in the U.S., beginning with nine students in 1836 (History | Harvard University). I believe this to be an important step in the educational history of the U.S. because today, we have many post secondary institutions, and the normalization of such education is important. It is evident that it is being normalized, as Harvard University started with only nine students and nowadays has more than 20,000 students aiming for a degree (History | Harvard University). America s Role in the World Trade Organization Debate Over China The open question on Chinese accession, both in the WTO and in China itself, is whether China is more likely to adopt and sustain economic reforms if it is granted early membership or if membership is delayed until policy reforms are undertaken. (Schott 40, 1996) I. His stance on this issue, were he alive today, can be expressed through a simple syllogism. Adam Smith supports open trade and opposes mercantilism as a state s national economic policy. (More about Adam Smith) China acceding to the WTO would force it to open its market and diminish if not eliminate most of its protective policies. Therefore, Adam Smith would encourage the United States to push for China s accession to the WTO. The United States has much to gain from an easily accessible, transparent Chinese economy of 1.2 billion consumers. America, though, is determined to obtain certain market opening concessions and promises from China before its formal accession, and is equally determined to define China s status as a developed nation rather than developing going into the WTO. A nation s status upon admittance, developed or developing, carries very significant implications for the applicant. The status of China will determine the timetable for its obligations and liberalizations. This, too, will be touched on in greater detail again, but the basic argument is as follows: China wants to accede as a developing country, as this would give China much more time in adjusting to the WTO demands and in dismantling its protective barriers. The United States, however, because it wants quicker access to China s markets and faster reforms on China s part, is pushing ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Lennie and George have each other, and their unconventional relationship prevents them from becoming lonely. The italics used in the quote give the characters voices a tone that seems like it should be read like a song. The indirect characterization of speech and the way that Steinbeck displays the speech, with italics, it seems as though Lennie is giddy with excitement, when dreaming about their life. Because the readers have concluded that Lennie has a childish nature, they can infer how Lennie would be saying this, and therefore develop his childish, naive character. Likewise, when Lennie and George compare themselves to the society by saying, But not us! its direct characterization which shows their us against the world type of relationship.
