The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. bullying that focuses on damaging a person's social reputation and
relationships. This case study examines a real-life scenario of social bullying
within a school environment, and will ask you to explore its impact on the
victim, the role of bystanders, and strategies for prevention and
intervention.

Sima is a 14-year-old learner in Grade 8. He became the target
of social bullying by a group of classmates.
The bullies systematically spread rumours, exclude Sima from
social activities, and manipulate friendships to isolate Sima. This
campaign of social bullying has persisted for several weeks,
causing significant distress to Sima.
