- 12. • System messages can be public or private • Public: posted to all members of the company or a group • Private messages: posted only to users following the record in CRM Private: • Users have all conversations in a private CRM group • Only members of the private group can view conversations’ Public: • Users can choose the group they post to for each message Admin chooses the private group to use and manages group membership. Admin can choose whether system messages are public or private. Default is private.

- Today, Microsoft’s offering of Social is not just Yammer…Click -> It is SharePoint with Micro-Blogging and Document Collaboration Click -> Office 365 with Lync and it’s integration to Outlook\\Exchange Click -> and Dynamics CRM and Activity Posts.In the future Yammer conversations will not only be visible within Yammer, but across SharePoint, Office and Office 365, and Microsoft Dynamics CRM in ways that will help users be more efficient in a collaborative manner. Microsoft’s vision is to help make every application in the enterprise be enhanced with rich social information and capabilities.As part of this vision we’ll provide a common ‘Social Layer’ that will utilize one place for applications to get access to social information and services – ensuring that a post in one application can be used by another.
- Our investments in Yammer over the longer term include:Bi-directional publishing of business data from Dynamics CRM to Yammer and vice versa.For Dynamics CRM it means the ability to post messages between CRM & Yammer. These messages can relate to CRM records and events or even documents. CRM Users can follow people, accounts, contacts or any other entity in the CRM system that they are interested in or responsible for. CRM users can collaborate with colleagues inside their organization or with customers, partners and other stakeholders.Longer term Yammer will facilitate approvals, assignment and document collaboration.
