Mehta Drashti earned a B.A. from S.N.D.T Women’s University in Mumbai and studied classical to 19th century criticism including works by Plato, Aristotle, Dr. Johnson, Wordsworth, and Matthew Arnold. Her studies also analyzed contemporary literary theory and criticism exploring works by Rabindranath Tagore, Sigmund Freud, T.S. Eliot, Terry Eagleton, Elaine Showalter, and Ganesh Devi.
