Creative Essays. How to Write the Best Creative Essay - Complete Guide
1. Creative Essays
Crafting an essay on the topic of "Creative Essays" might initially seem like an exciting
endeavor, given the vast and boundless nature of creativity. However, delving into the task
reveals the multifaceted challenge that lies ahead. The difficulty stems not from a lack of ideas
or inspiration, but rather from the sheer abundance of possibilities. The realm of creativity is
expansive, and narrowing down a focus while maintaining originality can be a daunting task.
One must navigate through the paradox of structure and chaos, as a creative essay demands a
delicate balance between free expression and coherent composition. Striking this equilibrium
requires a thorough understanding of the audience's expectations and a keen awareness of the
chosen theme. It's not just about weaving words together; it's about creating an experience for
the reader, evoking emotions, and sparking imagination.
Furthermore, the challenge intensifies when attempting to transcend conventional norms and
experiment with unconventional narrative forms. The risk of veering into incomprehensibility
while maintaining a sense of purpose adds an additional layer of complexity. Balancing
innovation with relatability becomes a tightrope walk, as the essay should engage without
alienating its audience.
Revision becomes a crucial component of the process. Revisiting and refining ideas are essential
to ensure that the essay doesn't merely indulge in creativity for its own sake but also delivers a
coherent and meaningful message. This iterative process demands time and patience, making the
writing journey an arduous yet rewarding expedition.
In conclusion, writing a creative essay requires navigating a labyrinth of ideas, taming the chaos
of boundless creativity, and distilling it into a cohesive and engaging narrative. The difficulty lies
not in the scarcity of material but in the challenge of sculpting raw creativity into a polished and
purposeful piece. It is a demanding task that calls for perseverance, a discerning eye, and an
unwavering commitment to the art of expression.

2. The Power Of Language And Images In The Little Refugee
In the texts The Little Refugee by Anh and Suzanne Do (2011) and The Arrival
illustrated by Shaun Tan (2007), language and images are used to target younger
audiences on the important matter of Australian refugees and immigrants. Both texts
emotionally explore the hearts of immigrants and refugees. Through the language and
images that are used, the responders are positioned to see the struggles of those who
come from another country. The viewer would see how much a little smile and a
point in the right direction can do to those who are struggling.

One of these values is hope. This is particularly evident in The Little Refugee. In
The Little Refugee, the characters come to Australia because they feel as though
they do not belong in their countries of origin. Anh Do described in the text that
they were no longer welcome in their own country because his father fought in the
Vietnam War. After the war ended their lives were in great danger because they
were on the losing side. My family decided to escape to another country (p5). This
language shows how refugees feel when they come to Australia. They have no
hope in having a life in their own country so they come to Australia for hope. When
Anh Do first came to Australia, the first words he said were, What a great country
(p11). The power that this language uses shows that he was down and upset and
now with these simple words he is in a happy and positive place. We know this just
through the power of four words. The little boy would have been so happy to be
out of a country that was going to kill him. In end of this picture book, Anh Do did
have hope which lead him to have a good ending. That was that he hoped for
somewhere to be safe and to belong somewhere. Mum and Dad always told me to
have hope, and to believe that everything would turn out okay in the end... And they
were right. It did. (p 23). As this text is targeted towards children between the ages of

3. The Informative Speech On Sports In Sports
General Purpose: To Inform Specific Purpose: To inform the audience about
different sports. Central Idea (Thesis): There are so many sports leagues out there,
and we would like to inform you a little bit about the NFL, MLB, NHL, and
competitive swimming Introduction Football American football developed out of
a combination of soccer and rugby. No single variety of the sport was played some
schools played soccer, others rugby, while still others played various combinations
of the two without any written rules. The first ever college football game was
playing in 1869 which was Princeton vs Rutgers. Soon after, other colleges started
playing as well. Professional football became a reality a few decades after the sport
became popular. The first evidence of someone being paid money just to play a
football game came on November 12, 1892. William Pudge Heffelfinger was paid
$12,000 by the Allegheny Athletic Association to play a game. Only one year
later, the first professional football contract was signed, and more poured in. As
the sport became more popular, it also became more violent, especially because of
mass plays. Mass plays required every member of a side moving together to try to
score. According to thepeoplehistory.com, in the 1905 season, 149 serious injuries
were recorded from the sport, along with 18 deaths. Action had to be taken, and
people were asking for a changes including President Theodore Roosevelt. This led
to the creation of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), which still
governs college sports in the U.S. today. The rule changes allowed the sport to
become more about speed and skill, rather than just brute force. This significantly
reduced the number of injuries and deaths. The next few years consisted of teams
being formed, but most of them from the early 1900s died out. Without a true
league, teams had no control over the sport. Players would move from one team to
another, chasing the highest salary. The official league s name was set as the
American Professional Football Association (APFA). The early years were still
unorganized. Teams came and went, and players still switched squads frequently. It
wasn t until 1922 when the league was renamed to the National
4. Values Of Interpretive Communities
Interpretive communities have lasting effects on the lives of the people within them,
changing the way they think about situations that they may face. Many people go
through multiple interpretive communities during the day, for example, a student
goes through the student body, to multiple classes, to extracurricular activities, and
finally they reach their families. All of the different interpretive communities
someone is a part of will help shape their personalities as they grow up. I have been
a part of many different communities as I have grown up, but the one that has
influenced my life the most has been the junior bowling program that I have been a
part of for about fifteen years. The values that this group shares, shines through the

Personal experiences can help shape the bowler or coach in the community, giving
them different personalities and bowling styles. When asked, Boudreau states
that, Failure itself pushes you back at the time, but allows you to grow and
become better in the long run. Her failures are a push for her, she strives to
become a better bowler and a better person after she is forced to pick herself up
from a failed attempt. When Boudreau is faced with a failure she spends the next
week or so working on a specific technique so she knows how to use it again in the
future. Failures bring a different meaning to Strehle, my failures don t bother me
too much, but if I failed because I missed a ten pin, then I will practice a few more
ten pins the next day . Failure brings them both to practicing and making
themselves better, but each person goes about doing so in different ways. My past
coaches and teammates, both good and bad have taught me what it means to be a
bowler (Strehle). Both coaches and players alike influence his game and make
him stronger as both a coach and a bowler himself. I learn from the good and take
from the not so good (Strehle). Strehle explains that as a coach in particular, he has
learned from many different people, his father, for example, an amazing coach,
inducted into multiple coaching hall of fames, has shown Strehle the person he
strives to become. On the other note, Strehle also says he has encountered coaches
in his career that have shown him exactly who he does not want to be, and traits he
does not want to have. You can learn just as much from a bad coach as you can a
good one both coaches will teach you skills that will help you better yourself
(Strehle). A hands on, more aggressive coach may have me more willing to try new
things, whereas a laid back coach may make me

Supply Chain in the Travel Industry The travel industry is an industry that is in
constant change. It is the type of industry that must change with the times, including
how it conducts business, how it sells its products and services, and how each link of
their supply chain works and connects with the rest of the chain. While each brick

a varying supply chain they use in order to get their product and services to the
customer. We will take a look at how a brick and mortar travel agencyuses its supply

Their supply chain would begin with those businesses by making deals that they
would use their products when arranging plans for their customers. Their supplies
would include contractual agreements, as well as informational brochures. For
instance, a travel agency would make a deal with certain hotels to try and use them
when reserving rooms for their customers. The hotel would then give the travel
agency a commission off the room as payment. Business to business links would
also come in the form of finding locations to rent for their offices, as well as places
to purchase their office furniture and computer systems. There would be the need for
travel agents for serving the customers, as well as advertising and distribution of
information to potential customers. Hotels, airlines, car rentals, cruise ships, and

Culturally Competent Care of the Jehovah?s Witness: A Focus on Bloodless
Medicine Nurses have the responsibility of caring for a diverse group of people.
These people come from different cultures, races, and religious backgrounds.
Religion plays a major role in patient care and has for many years. Cultural
competency is a major component of nursing practices. Understanding culture is
imperative in knowing what is important to a patient and how to address his or her
healthcare needs. Understanding culture is also important when determining what
suggestions to make about interventions for treatment. Culture is defined as many
people interacting and sharing with one another their patterns of behavior, beliefs
and values (Burkhardt, G. Nathaniel, A., 2014). For many people Christianity is the
religion of choice and a way of life. Jehovah?s Witnesses are one subgroup of the
Christian faith. The JW religion was founded in 1872 by Charles Taze Russell. They

Van Cliburn, an Ambassador of Musical Diplomacy
After the vast destruction of the Second World War, Europe, and the United States
had been shaken. With the existence of nuclear technology and unresolved
Communist rule, the fear of World War III was common, and nobody could predict
the devastation it could cause. From this fear rose the Cold War, a battle consisting of
no fighting, but rather unsettling diplomatic tensions between the United States and
Soviet Union. By the mid 1900 s these tensions were at an all time high, and it was
thanks to a performance by the renowned pianist, Harvey L. Van Cliburn, that the
world was shown a thaw between the two feuding superpowers. Despite the rise of
Cold War tensions in the late 1950 s, Van... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Cliburn made his first orchestral debut after winning a state wide competition by

Cliburn claimed. He had only agreed to be taught by a new teacher if it were Olga

arrival. Despite his rough start, at Julliard, Cliburn was extremely successful. In his
third year, he participated in the Leventritt competition, winning first prize, allowing
him to debut in Carnegie Hall. Just three years later, at the age of 23, Cliburn would
compete in the International Tchaikovsky Competition, winning gold, as his idol,

9. Born To Run Chapter Summary
The book Born to Run is an informative yet also thrilling account of the author s
investigation into the primary cause of running injuries. The book begins with the
author investigating a rumour of an ancient tribe in Mexico known as the
Tarahumara who live in the Copper Canyons upon the same lifestyle and traditions
as they did hundreds, if not, thousands of years ago. It was said that the Tarahumara
were a group of superathletes that have the ability to run for periods of up to 400
miles, barefoot or in sandals, without rest while avoiding injury in the process.
Obviously, for one pursuing the avoidance of runningrelated injuries, this was an
intriguing thought for author Christopher McDougall; therefore the first chapter
consists of him following a lead in Mexico by tracking down a man known as
Caballo Blanco. Multiple rumours existed of... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Their whole culture is based upon a totally modest and non violent ideology. For
example, at the end of an ultra marathon when many of the runners in past races are
completely miserable and need pacers to keep going. But, on record pace, the
Tarahumara runners came by the aid station and surprised all the volunteers in how
happy they were. All the Tarahumara runners were smiling and looking as though
they were having the time of their lives. So, after this information was presented, the
author came back to their meeting with Arnulfo. This meeting, however, was very
brief as to the fact that the Salvador and the author had forgotten certain key pieces of
Tarahumara modesty and interaction making it so that, after feeding them and
providing some water, Arnulfo ran off. So then, following some interaction with
Salvador, the author is lead to find Caballo Blanco and back to where the story
began. The two then devise a plan to gather all the greatest ultrarunners of the 21st
century to race against the Tarahumara in
10. Analysis Of A Simple Heart
Taneka .D.G. Evelyn
ENG 212 042
Dec.12th, 2011
The realist period was a time of the nineteenth century in which authors, artists and
other people in literature provided in depth accounts of events that occurred during
that time period. In Gustave Flaubert s A Simple Heart, he explored the lives of two
fictional women of different classes (middle and lower) during the realist period.
Through characters like Madame Aubain, a rich woman and Felicite, her poor, gentle
maid, he provided the reader with a sneak peek of nineteenth century France.
The first sentence of A Simple Heart gives the reader an ironic insight of the
protagonist Felicite. It states Madame Aubain s servant Felicite was the envy of
the ladies of Pont l Г‰vГ«que for half a century (2208, A Simple Heart).By giving
a brief synopsis of the protagonist, it makes the reader wonder why was she the
envy of the other women around her. She was serving another woman. What was
there to envy? Flaubert must have done this on purpose to get the reader to put a
price on happiness. Even the words used to describe the other women ladies would
bring a great deal of doubt to the reader.
Flaubert introduced the seemingly simpler character, Felicite first, with a rather
vivid and detailed description. He portrayed her as a woman that was different
from the others. Being a maid, Felicite was not expected to be complex and
Flaubert did her much justice. He described She rose at daybreak to be in time for
Mass, and worked till evening without stopping. Then, when dinner was over, the
plates and dishes were in order, and the door shut fast, she thrust the

log under the ashes and went to sleep in front of the heath with a rosary in her
hand (2209, A Simple Heart). He made her seem very uniformed, as though she had
nothing important to do. She appeared religious and organized but lacked that
complexity that comes with being a woman. The routine was the same and therefore
proved that a woman of lower class was bounded to the house.
Felicite became so accustomed to her routine that she decided to stay in the house to
the very end. According to
www.docshare.com, She grew old and more useless as a direct parallel to what was

The second article I chose to summarize discusses the rehabilitation process on a rat

was by electrically stimulating neurons that would normally be stimulated if the rats

help people who are experiencing spinal corddamage which can severely limit the
way a person carries out day to day activities. The article states that before now other
rehabilitation efforts helped some but not enough to allow the person experiencing
the injury to recover. How the electrical stimulation works is, electrical excitation is
given to the parts of the undamaged spinal cord of the rat, this then
12. Weatheringanderosion
Weathering
There are many affects of weathering. Many factors influence the susceptibility of
rocks to chemical and mechanical weathering. Rainfall, biologic activity, abundance
of openings, composition of the rock, amount of vegetation, temperature, and tectonic
settings are important factors in the weathering process. External forces like wind,
water, and ice are constantly causing changes in the surface of rocks. These activities
are cutting some material away while depositing other materials here and there. This
process landscapes the Earth as we see it. Weathering falls into two categories,
mechanical weathering and chemical weathering. Mechanical weathering is where a
rock physically breaks down into pieces but does not change the ... Show more

Only the dust remains aloft long enough to be moved by the wind through
suspension. There are of course exceptions to this, hurricanes and tornadoes can and
do move coarse rock particles several centimeters in diameter. Although ice is solid, if
flows under the influence of gravity in parts of the world where there is enough ice
all year long to form a glacier. Ice moves at a very slow pace. Acting as a file, sled,
and plow, ice plays a role in erosion and transport. Unlike wind and water, ice is very
viscous and moves only by a laminar flow.
The Differences
The differences in weathering and erosion are as follows: Weathering involves two
processes that often work together to decompose rocks. Mechanical weathering
which involves physically breaking rocks into fragment with any change to their
chemical make up of its minerals within. Chemical weathering which is a chemical
change in at least some of the minerals within a rock is the second process. Each
one of these two processes occurs in place, there is no movement involved in
weathering. It is important to remember that weathering is a surface or near
surface process. When particles are loosened by one of the two processes of
weathering it moves and then is called erosion. We call this erosion if the particle
is moved by some flowing agent such as ice, wind, or water. Mass wasting, which is
a form of erosion is movement down a slope due to gravity. Some examples of mass
wasting are

performance of the three year olds increases. There are two close hypotheses about
this phenomenon: re description and mental files. The purpose of this study was to
test these two hypotheses with different manipulations on the DCCS task. The three
year old children participating in the study (N = 38) were given these four task: the

City budget cuts have a dramatic effect on neighborhood associations. Cutting
services and closing fire stations will have far reaching ramifications. Once these
cuts are made, they are seldom ever given back, and if they are it is with great
difficulty to the constituents. There are a number of actions that a neighborhood
association can take to combat these types of cuts and express their concerns. One
of the first things that can be done is to petition the elected officials and ask for
them to follow a different course in trying to balance the budget. Use of a petition is
an acceptable way to demonstrate the importance of the issue and documents in
writing the issues and expectations as well as giving a tangible list of supporters to the

whose prime purpose was to flee religious persecution.

temperature to be consumed. If it is not, then the outcome will not be good. I will
take every measure possible to make sure that everything is correct. So why would
these foods spoil if they weren t refrigerated? Pathogenic bacteria grows rapidly in
temperatures above 4.4В°C (40В°F). This type of bacteria does not affect the
smell, taste, or appearance of the food, making it difficult to determine whether or
not the pathogens are present. By refrigerating foods at the correct temperature,
you are eliminating the chances of these harmful pathogens growing in your food
and contaminating them. For example, if you accidentally left a jug of milk on the
counter overnight it would become warm and develop a rancid odor. If you were
to drink it, the chances of you getting a foodborne illness would be high
considering that the harmful pathogens had time to grow. Spoilage bacteria can
also grow at low temperatures, however they cause foods to develop disgusting
odors and appearances. Most people would not choose to eat these foods, but if they
did they would most likely not become ill. If I were

Satire: Is it useful?
In the modern day there are satirists like John Oliver, Trevor Noah, John Stewart and
many others. These satirists use satire which is used to expose truth behind a
concept, like ad s, consumerism, and the government. One of the oldest examples of
satire is A Modest Proposal, written by an Irish man named Jonathan Swift. It s
purpose was to expose the British government for oppressing the Irish and
sarcastically stating how the British eat babies. It exposes how they consume
imported goods made by people from less fortunate countries who die in the process
of making their goods. Satire is useful because it exposes a gruesome topic to an

behind the scenes of consumerism in the higher classes and goods production, and
how consumers don t want to know that so they can indulge themselves, people are

21. Death Be Not Proud By John Gunther
Death Be Not Proud by John Gunther was an astounding book. Granted, it was a bit
depressing, but it was a great book because I could relate so closely to the author.
The trial of a loved one going through cancer is something I can relate to. Fortunately,
my story turns out a little bit better than Johnny s did.
This book took me on a roller coaster of emotions. I felt like I was connected with
the book and so I naturally got really excited when Johnny got better, and really sad
when his health declined. I know what it feels like to watch a loved one go through
something like that. My grandma was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer in 2012,
and while the doctors only gave her a year to live, she greatly exceeded their
expectations and is still
22. Cybersex And Pornography
Furthermore, cybersex and pornography is addicting. It is so addictive that families
would even split up. A family dynamic will change once one either the father or the
mother is addicted to cybersex and pornography. It could create trust issues with the
following spouce.
Not only does having an addiction hurt people, it could create liars. If the spouse
does not want others to know about their problems and marriage by going to a
counselor they would be just covering up for them.
Similarity
Between the two subjects, Cybersex and Pornographgy, and Online Video
Gaming, many similarities can be seen. Addiction is the key holder to the adjacent
denominator. It also states the obvious of anyone with an addiction needs
counseling help. There are many ways to help out someone in need with an
addiction: (Earle Earle 1995) Many addicts and family members join self help
groups modeled on the 12 steps of AA (106). There needs to be more ways to put
out there that there is help for these types of people. Another problem of people not
going to help groups or counselors is they do not feel comfortable and trusted, as
stated in (Earle Earle 1995) Most family members will demand that the therapist
demonstate again and again that they can be trusted and that (s)he will not neglect,
reject, or abandon the patient (104).
An individual who actively divulges in these solitary forms of entertainment are

23. The Importance Of A Training Needs Assessment
The purpose of a training needs assessment is to identify performance requirements
and the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed by an agency s or company s
workforce to achieve the requirements. (Office of Personnel Management, n.d.)
(Words in italics added) To do this one must follow through a process such as the one
proposed by Saks and Haccoun. (Saks Haccoun, 2013, pp. 102 105) The concern is
that there is the potential of non compliance with electric generation and transmission
utility regulatory requirements. The concern is important, because non compliance
can lead to financial penalty, loss of reputation, shareholder concern and investment
rating agency demotion. Once the concern and importance have been substantiated
and agreed to by senior management, stakeholders will be consulted for both
awareness of the importance of regulatory requirements and the relevance of
regulatory requirements to their position. Data will be collected using a variety of
methods (more on this later) and the results collated and provided as a report to the
Training Committee. A number of sources agree that the collected information be
analyzed in accordance with the organization, the task and the personnel. (Saks
Haccoun, 2013) (Miller Osinski, 1996) (Office of Personnel Management, n.d.)
Concern and Importance Senior management has been made aware of several issues
where uninformed employees have made decisions that may jeopardize compliance
with regulatory requirements.
24. Argumentative Essay On Buy Nothing Day
Redo
The Buy Nothing Day was organized in Canada in 1992 to encourage people to
freeze their purchasing as a way to increase awareness of excessive consumerism .
It is not considered as a splendid idea and it would not be acceptable in the
American society today. As there has become an increment of random days the
actual value and implications of non celebrated modern purposeful days has
dropped dramatically. Although this event has been holding annually over the past
22 years in many nations to convince people about the significant of this event and
its motives, its ineffective outcomes is clearly perceived by many people who are
urged not to participate affects the implication of the dedicated day. In addition, one
day out of three hundred and sixty five days is not enough to solve a major issue like
excessive consumerism. A Buy Nothing Daywould be problematic to solve a
dramatic problem with one day without giving the audience enough context to
participate.
Nowadays, people are creating random holidays that cause the meaning of actual
purposeful holidays to decrease. An example of meaningless holidays is National Ice
Cream Day or No Pants day which convey nonsense messages and no inspired ideas
within them. All these holidays come up with a purpose, but by times drive, people
are paying less attention to the purpose and just for the intriguing name. Basically, the
more random holidays that are being implemented in our society, the less purposeful
are going to be the

Study Context and Data Sources
2.1 Beijing s Recent Urban Planning
Beijing is the capital of China and one of the most populous cities in the world. The
current population as of 2014 was over 21 million. The area of Beijing Metropolitan
Area (BMA) is 16,410 square kilometers. According to land use dataset of Beijing
Institute of City Planning, the total urban area as of 2012 was 1,675 square
kilometers. The BMA currently comprises 16 administrative subdivisions, as
presented in Figure 1.
Figure 1 The Beijing Metropolitan Area Since the latest administrative boundary
adjustment of Beijing in 1958, there have been five urban master plans drafted in
1958, 1973, 1982, 1992 and 2004. Each master plan was associated with a planned
overall land use map. Individual land parcels in the map were assigned with a land
classification of either urban (residential, commercial, industrial, public green land,
and mixed use land) or non urban (farmland, forestland, and wetland) (Long, Gu, Han,
2012). The maps guide the future urban development, and actual land uses should
conform to the land classification plan.
Since the beginning of the 1990s, the BMA has experienced an unprecedented
increase in population growth and urban development. By the year 2003, Beijing s
population and urban built up area had already surpassed the capacity set forth in
the 1992 2010 Master Plan, seven years ahead of the plan s scheduled expiration
date. To address new challenges and plan for greater
28. Argumentative Essay On The College Dropout
In this article written by Holly Epstein Ojalvo writer from New York times says Is
college worth it? . What does that mean for a high school senior who is stressing at
the last moment of their high school year, and don t even know what to do with their
lives yet. Some students want to go from high school straight to college but some are
indecisive about it, it s either the work force, or the military.
Students that go to a Four year University don t even graduate. In this article
College dropout statistics it says with these three issues leading students to leave
college in the United States, more than 30% of students drop out in their first year. .
Most of these students come from low income backgrounds. There are many other
reasons as to college drop outs, one an overactive social life, but i don t see how that
could affect someone that much. Two homesickness, i could see this one happening
most of the time because i understand being far away from my family. Three lack of
guidance and mentoring from school officials.
But college also could be a good thing for students that know what they want to do
in life. See the 30% of dropouts are either because they aren t ready or they can t
really afford it or they can t handle the responsibility, etc. But the other 70% do end
up going on through high school and graduating and getting their degree or bachelor
s. But you don t always have to go to college to get a high paying job, some jobs just

The most compelling part of the novel for me is when Alex is in jail for getting
caught and arrested for gang affiliation and rape. This was the most compelling part
for me because I found that the way the officers manipulated and attempted to brain

3.The most challenging part of the novel was the crimes the Alex and his gang had
committed. This was most challenging for me because I found that it was a difficult
read being that it went into detail of all the crimes they committed. An example
would be the old, rich cat lady and how Alex smashed her head in; I found that I

Introduction
Through globalization, technology has increased rapidly in not only in Malaysia but
also other country. In Malaysia, Industrialised Building System (IBS) is one of the
technologies that has implemented by government. It has started since 1960 s. But
however it becomes more popular in 1998 when government recommends a Strategic
Plan as the blueprint for whole construction sector.
IBS system has been promoting by CIDB. To increase the use of IBS, CIDB has
taken the step of formulating IBS Roadmap. The main reason for implementing IBS
system in Malaysia is to increase the productivity, waste of construction material, time
and reduce the use foreign labors.
However, implementation of IBS has not found popular from local construction
industry. There is very low profile of construction sector using IBS as their main
building construction.

35. Ethical Ethics And Ethical Behavior Essay
Ethical conduct is a representation of leader s self expression of who they really are,
and with past multi billion dollar companies reported committing unethical and
unmoral acts of behavior, it is imperative that leaders fully comprehend the
ramifications related to their unethical behavior. Furthermore, an ethical virtue
demonstrated by a leader paves the foundation for their followers to behave with the
same ethical behavior established within the organization thus establishing a
followers commitment to their constitution. Additionally, the rise in corporate ethical
scandals today representing the unethical behavior and, raising awareness relevant to
the probe into their illegal and unethical acts of behavior. The fact that leaders
represent the key ingredient within an organization expected to exhibit the utmost
ethical behavior has become the cutting edge of issues involving acts of unethical
conduct. . Leadership in organizations obtain ethical responsibilities to both the
establishment and their followers, their responsibilities revolve around human values
and complying with ethical conduct and codes of ethical behavior. And, the
knowledge that corporate scandals including those of Enron, Worldcom, and others

but it didn t stay popular because of it s numerous negatives. This brings us to the
next craftsmen that competed to make a raincoat work.
There were two more craftsmen who were competing to produce the best raincoat at

exceptional raincoat, that he called Aquascutum. Aquascutum was named after a latin

Egyptian cotton yarn that was waterproofed before and after the weaving. It was

38. Neoliberalism Vs Evangelical Internationalism
Where separate nations, people groups, and political systems exist, many differing
economic policies and ideas exist as well. All of the world economic ideologies
consist of different focuses, morals, and processes of creating the ideal economic
system. Each ideology uses different methods and ideas that conflict with the others,
but these ideas can also overlap and be consistent in many areas. Four major
economic ideologies are neoliberalism, Evangelical internationalism, and Alternative
globalization. Each of these ideologies has many differences and contradictions with
one another, and yet according to critics on both sides, they each have their flaws as
well. Whereas the idea of neoliberalism is based on privatization, free market,... Show

Evangelical Christian groups, such as the International Justice Mission (IJM) and
Concerned Women for America, aim to fight against anti trafficking and White
Slavery, or forced prostitution (Bernstein 2007, 403). Before Evangelical
Internationalism came about, these Christian groups took a much more isolationist
view, where they focused mainly on traditional religious values. These groups
were thought to have a specific sexual agenda in their missions to rescue women
forced into prostitution and slavery. These groups use the term slave instead of sex
worker, although many of the women in the industry do not see themselves as
slaves (Bernstein 2007, 405). Although the new view is anti capitalist and pro
social welfare, within this older Isolationist view, many people associated these
Evangelical groups with having neoliberal ideals. For example, many critics said
that this Evangelical fight against slavery had become a way for the groups to
advocate for their own religious agendas (Bernstein 2007, 407). For example, when
U.S. President Bush passed the charitable choice law that government funds would
help these Evangelical groups, many people were under the impression that the lines
between the secular state and religion were being blurred (Bernstein 2007, 406).
Later on, when President Bush cut off all funds from Brazil s AIDS program, these
questions seemed to be answered, and major protests erupted across the country in
response to the U.S. religious agenda, along with the neoliberal agenda of the
Washington Consensus (Amar, 438). However, after a clear shift from this
Isolationist view to an International one, different mechanisms shifted society from
repressive, into a much more empowering one (Bernstein, 430). This new view is

their children s skins and that the water is thinning their hair. This is not the only way
the residents are being affected. From the unmonitored excessive amount of led that

I first really recognized the fight for social justice on June 25, 2013. This was the
day Wendy Davis defended reproductive rights at the Texas Capitol for 13 hours. I
grew up in a politically active climate, but watching a livestream of the Texas
Legislature that night had more of an effect on me than anything I had done or
witnessed before. I am interested in the Bridging Disciplines Program s Human Rights
and Social Justice certificate because from that night on I have become aware of the
incredible amount of injustice in the world. For a little while, I wanted to be a public
official like Wendy Davis. However, after I started taking classes at UT, I immediately
became interested in court cases. Especially, I loved the class Supreme Court and
Public Policy. It struck me that most human rights victories came from the courts
rather than the legislature. Just three years after the filibuster, this proved true to me
yet again when the Supreme Court declared unconstitutional the law Wendy Davis
had attempted to block. The Senators and by extension the Texas voters couldn t stop
this injustice, but the courts did.
By completing this certificate, I hope to learn about different human rights
movements from across the world. I will look to answer why certain movements
succeeded and certain movements have failed or are still in progress. While I don t
plan on specializing in a strand due to the limited time I have to complete this
certificate, I am most interested in the Theory,

industry has historically been dominated by large companies. The threat of new
entrants is low, but not impossible. The main path for entry into this market is
through development of novel new drugs. New entrants are limited to this method of
entry due to patent thickets surrounding incumbent drugs. The largest barrier to entry
for companies attempting to enter the biopharmaceutical industry is high research

they must also obtain approval from regulators in order to bring their products to

target users by promoting the dignifying aspect of ISIS instead of the gory details
about their jihadist culture. This strategy is very effective on younger generations
who appeal to the struggle of the messages displayed by the Islamic State. Since
social media apps such as, Twitter or Facebook, are so accessible, these terrorist
organizations have an even easier time taking advantage of the opportunity
propagated by the companies. Social Media provides an outlet for terrorist groups
because it gives them a medium to recruit people worldwide and implements and
system where they can become untraceable. ISIS is constantly changing but, the
surplus of western recruits ISIS has access to through social media is constant.
Most terrorist groups only have a small effect on social media, while ISIS
...execution videos received tens of thousands of views within hours of going
online (Hong). These amounts of views are what give ISIS the power to spread
their message to vulnerable minds in the West. Youtube provides a great outlet for
ISIS s videos, especially since they are worldwide. On the other hand, terrorist
organizations like Al Qaeda, who was mostly silenced by
43. Effects Of Extracurricular Activities Essay
Extracurricular activities refer to activities that provide opportunities for students to
develop specific skills or knowledge, and take place outside of school hours.
Extracurricular activities offer experiences of teamwork and support the development
of many social, cognitive, and physical skills of the students. By joining
extracurricular activities, the students learn to manage their time, relieve stress and

The positive effects that extracurricular activities have on students are behavior, better
grades, school completion, positive aspects to become successful adults, and a social
aspect (Massoni, 2011). Students that actively participate in extracurricular activities
have reduced behavior problems. The students who participate in extracurricular will
show good self discipline. They also have responsibility to perform the task correctly.
When students perform these things correctly, they are rewarded for their good
behavior and they take pride in their accomplishments. Because of the pride they
achieve, they gain better self respect, self esteem, and self confidence.
The other effect of extracurricular activities for students is the social aspect. Students
that are involved in extracurricular activities meet many new people. By joining
extracurricular activities, the students will meet people that they share interests with.
In extracurricular activities, students also learn about group work, and sometimes
they end up having less conformity to gender
44. The Verbermockle Murder
The Cold Blooded Murder of Mr. Verbermockle
54.3 percent of murder victims were killed by someone they knew (acquaintance,
neighbor, friend, boyfriend, etc.), 24.8 percent were killed by a family member.
The evidence shows that this is logically the case in the Verbermockle murder
mystery. After allegedly finding Mrs. Verbermockle s husband unconscious on the
bathroom floor, Mrs. Verbermockle calls her family doctor. Mrs. Verbermockle
claimed that he must have slipped on a bar of soap, and she did not touch him.
When the doctor arrived, he announced Mr. Verbermockle dead from a fracture to
the rear of the skull caused from blunt force. However, if the FBI statistics are
correct, then it is likely that Mrs. Verbermockle is the killer. Although... Show more

Verbermockle suffered blunt force head trauma. Knowing that he was killed using
blunt force head trauma, either the weapon or the body would have made a loud
noise from impact. Mrs. V would have been able to hear this loud bang in her own
home. Any normal person would have rushed to the scene immediately after
hearing the noise, especially if the impact was tough enough to cause a fracture in
the rear of his skull, as the doctor had mentioned. In addition, Mr. V s body seems
to be in front of the sink, implying that he was in front of the mirror at the time of
the impact. Anyone would have been able to react if they saw someone behind
them in the mirror. However, his body is placed as if he hadn t moved a muscle.
Though if he saw his wife behind him, he wouldn t have had any worry of suspicion
of an intruder. Most importantly, next to the body is a broken bottle of cologne or
mouthwash that could have been used as the murder weapon. At the murder scene
you can see that the victim has some type of liquid come from the back of his head,
where he was hit at. The bottle was used to hit Mr. V in the back of the head
causing a fracture in his skull while splashing the liquid on him at the same time.
Unless the liquid coming from his head was blood, then bottle didn t splash on him
during the attack. We also know that the attack would have to be fast and swift, as the
body seems that he hadn t moved from the shower. Thus
45. My Mother Was A Military Brat
My grandmother once said, or at least I am told she once said, that she was
concerned that my father should not marry my mother because she had no roots.
My mother was a military brat. The longest she s ever lived anywhere is seven
years. She makes no bones about the fact that she doesn t know where she s from.
Like the planes my grandfather worked on, my mother was a child of the wind,
going here and there, and wherever destiny took her. I suppose my grandmother
would say the same thing about me. I am a missionary s child, taken wherever the
call of God took my family. I didn t grow up in just one place, therefore I have no
roots. It s a very Southern concept, having roots, and is as sacred to the Heart of
Dixie as sweet tea and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But even if that misfortune should befall them, they are still in the same spot they
were planted in.
I am like a bird. My roots are confined to one area. My egg hatched in Auburn, and
since then I have collected roots Auburn, Roanoke, Quito,Temuco, Santiago,
Cullman, Florence, and Killen, and have woven them all into a nest that is
currently nestled in the branches of Killen. My roost don t trap me in one spot. I
am free to fly wherever without hesitation, and if I so desire, bring back some leaves,
or branches, or even more roots from the places I visit.
At some point I m sure a storm of life, or an unexpected gust of wind will blow me
out of Killen s tree. So I ll glide where the wind takes me, and rebuild my nest in a
new tree with new roots.
I m sure my grandmother thinks her little bird is an unstable wreck, and in some
ways I am. My ADHD and scattered brains have turned me into quite the character.
The payoff is worth it though. Why watch the seasons slip by the same old burrow
when you can soar to the heavens and gaze upon the whole world?
I ll always have my nest to come back to, and with each blustery, windy trip to a new
tree, my nest of roots grows bigger and grander.
My senior year.
One glance down the halls of my high school, and one would think it was any
ordinary day.
Kids laugh, talk, gossip, make out, throw paper wads; nothing is different.
They don t realize. They don t remember that day. They don t

The corset first started taking shape during the 15th century, at the time wealthy
French women were preoccupied with the idea of having a flat small waistline. In
order to successful achieve this look they would use tightly lined undergarments
that secured and held in their midsection with front or back cross lacing, as stated

accommodate a women s body to the specific shape of dresses and upscale gowns,
from that point forward, women were then expected to dress with corsets in order to
appeal to men and or keep their husbands faithful. Corset themselves transformed
from simple and ordinary objects to much more complex and elaborate torso
clenching things. As stated in the article History of Corsetry, Corsets in the 17th

extent of craftsmanship that took place in creating the perfect body for women. This
fashion trend was seen all throughout Western Europe during the 17th, 18th and 19th
century, today through paintings one can see that even some of the most aristocratic
women of the time such as Queen Mary II, advocated for a

48. Medieval Chroniclers And Disease
Given the material presented above, it is hardly surprising that German expeditions
into Italy frequently suffered from heavy disease mortality. But how can we be
certain that any given disease outbreak is malaria, as opposed to typhoid, typhus,
bubonic plague, or some other disease associated with marching armies? In general,
the medieval chroniclers were not very helpful in distinguishing between various
infections, and this reflects the prevailing mindset to disease at the time. Rather than
regarding diseases as discrete entities caused by specific pathogens, pre modern
writers generally believed that disease was caused by environmental factors,
especially swamp miasmas or urban filth. What is more, diseases were understood as
existing along
