The coyote is a medium-sized mammal similar in size to a German shepherd with grayish-brown, yellowish-brown, and white fur. It can live in a variety of habitats across the world including grasslands, forests, deserts, and even cities, residing in dens, holes, and caves. Coyotes mate in February and give birth to litters of 4 to 6 pups about 60 days later that begin hunting on their own within 3 to 10 weeks.
