Pumas are typically black or brown with yellow eyes, weighing around 136 pounds. They have a thick coat and can grow to be 5-9 feet long. Pumas historically lived across the U.S. but now reside primarily in the western U.S. Their diet consists mainly of deer, elk, and rabbits. Pumas give birth to litters of 1-6 kittens and live 12-20 years in the wild, where their main predators are bears and wolves.
