The honey bee lives in parts of Europe, Africa, and the United States. It has a blackish brown, fuzzy body made up of three parts and compound eyes made of hundreds of small eyes. Honey bees live in hives in trees, boxes, or fields and eat pollen from flowers. Each egg hatches into a larva that grows quickly and then forms a pupa before emerging as a worker or drone bee.
