I am Madhur Rai, a pragmatic professional with 17+ years’ experience in the Hospitality
industry. A hotel management graduate with Masters Degree in Commerce; I have worked in
various departments in hotels as well as restaurants ranging from Food & Beverage (Service),
Room divisions -Front office operations at key positions.
My first job assignment with hotels was as a Front office Assistant/Club room host with The
Hilton, New Delhi (The Lalit, New Delhi) in 1997 & as an Executive Assistant Manager (E.A.M)
with Sunlake group of Hotels, Indonesia till 2009.After which, I relocated to Spain and currently
working as a Restaurant General Manager with Pizzeria Express Italiana,Salou, from December
2009 till date. My work experience includes working in India as well as abroad in countries like
Israel, Indonesia & Spain which gave me opportunities to excel as a people’s person & a team
leader, pioneering in Guest Relations. Having worked with people from different origins &
cultures has enriched my learning as a leader.
My key deliverables as an EAM with the Sun Lake Group of Hotels, Indonesia (2004 – 2009),
are listed below:
 Handled Rooms divisions,
 Co-ordinate with department heads to ensure smooth operations,
 Conduct daily briefings
 Conduct monthly business reviews with department heads
 Report directly to the Regional General Manager
