We work closely with a wide range of UK and global
organisations to provide practical work experience
opportunities for our students.
Our aim to deliver career-ready global enterprising
graduates means that our programmes are infused with
opportunities for students to acquire practical experience.
Internship
An internship is the perfect chance to demonstrate your
ability to grasp business concepts and demonstrate
awareness of current business issues. Students work
with employers from a variety of industries based in the
UK and beyond.
Consulting project
As a form of internship, you act as an external consultant
for a business, either individually or as part of a group,
advising the business on a specific project or issue
relating to your field of specialism.
Business simulation project
You use simulation software to create and run your own
virtual business. You can put theory into practice and
manage a business from resource allocation through to
marketing strategies and financial management.
Entrepreneurship project
If you are intrigued by the idea of starting your own
business, you can do so at our Centre for Entrepreneurship
where you can make your business idea a reality.
Dissertation/research project
You will carry out independent research into a current
business issue and become an expert in a chosen field
– a key skill to possess in a highly competitive, global
recruitment market.

12. Activities
Clubs and societies
Joining our student-run clubs and societies is a great way to learn
new skills and make friends. Some of the existing clubs include
football, debating and trading.
As a student at Coventry University London Campus you can
also join Student Central (formerly University of London Union)
as an Associate Member.
Social activities
The Student Services team organises trips and activities throughout
the year. Previous trips have included Thorpe Park theme park,
Windsor, Eton, the Isle of Wight, Oxford, Paris, Amsterdam and
Brussels. For international students this is an ideal way to experience
the culture of the UK and Europe.
Sports facilities
The University is just 15 minutes’ walk from SPACe (Sports and
Performing Arts Centre). As a member you can play football,
volleyball, basketball and badminton for free at certain times of day.
There is also a well-equipped gym.
Welfare and support
Coventry University London Campus recognises that for many
students, living away from home is a new and exciting experience.
Our friendly staff are available to answer your questions throughout
your studies.
The Coventry University London Campus experience begins with
a formal induction and orientation programme. Staff will give you
advice on matters such as accommodation, opening a bank account
and joining clubs. Enrolment week is a lot of fun and has previously
included a visit to the London Dungeon, Madame Tussauds and
Tower Bridge.
The Academic and Student Services teams offer ongoing advice
to all international students. Our Employability Team focusses on
building industry links and preparing you for your internship or
work-related activity. The Student Services Team gives practical
advice on living in and getting around London, and the student-led
Student Societies run regular social activities on and off campus.

13. Accommodation
Within a 20-minute bus ride to the ISC, and very close to Kings
Cross Underground station, the residence is in the heart of the
most exciting regeneration project in London in recent years.
Shops, restaurants and galleries are all on the doorstep, as well
as a thriving cultural scene.
A zone 1 location with a relaxed vibe and unrivalled transport links
across the city, country and the rest of Europe. Take advantage of
the fact you have six tube lines, 14 bus routes and Eurostar on your
doorstep and explore.
There are 750 self-contained, fully furnished studios with stylish
interiors. Each studio has an ensuite shower room, kitchen area
and work space - everything is provided for convenient living,
studying and socialising. Residents also benefit from 100MB Wi-Fi,
study spaces, a gym, screening room, social spaces for games
or relaxation, laundry and housekeeping services.

International Study Centre (ISC) provides
international students with a direct route to
a range of degrees at the University.
Our programmes

All of our programmes consist of academic modules, study skills and
English language training. By the end of your programme you will be fully
prepared for degree study and have the skills you will need to succeed
at the University.
A taste of university life
We will introduce you to the style of teaching and learning that you
will experience when you progress onto your degree. You will learn via
one-to-one tutorials, small seminars and as part of larger lecture groups.
Excellent facilities
You will be studying in our well-equipped study centre in Bloomsbury.
The centre has state-of-the-art resources, including a library,
IT-suite and a cafe. You will also benefit from being close to the
British Museum, The British Library and some of London’s finest
parks, buildings and grand garden squares.
To help you build a strong network, you will meet with Coventry
University London Campus staff during induction and take part in taster
sessions at the University throughout your year.
Degree progression

19. You must have Personal Insurance
It is essential that international students have the protection of personal
insurance whilst in the UK. To cover you as a student at the International
Study Centre (ISC), you may purchase our “Study Care” insurance cover.
This policy will cover you for loss of personal possessions, travel delay,
as well as providing medical insurance until the end of your ISC academic
programme. You can purchase Study Care Insurance as part of your
application process. If you prefer not to take out Study Care insurance,
you must provide proof of alternative adequate insurance cover.
