The Academic Partnership Unit (APU) oversees and manages the establishment and
growth of a network of high quality international and UK based academic partnerships
for the Coventry University Group
Coventry University partners with over 70 universities and colleges worldwide to
provide graduates with the skills and knowledge they need to achieve their ambitions –
wherever they study
Over 15,000 students studying overseas for a Coventry University award we are
among the largest institutions in the UK for off shore delivery

All our courses are taught in English and accredited by Coventry University.
Collaborative Agreement Models - In-Country TNE
Franchised - Collaborations where a partner is authorised to provide all or part of a programme
designed by Coventry University. Students receive a Coventry University award upon completion
Validation – Coventry University recognises a programme of study designed, delivered and
assessed by the partner institution. Quality assured by Coventry University, students receive a
Coventry University award upon completion
Dual Award - Coventry University and the partner institution work closely to provide a jointly
delivered programme of study leading to the granting of separate awards (and certificates).
Flying Faculty - The whole programme is delivered in a location away from the Coventry
University campus by Coventry University staff, who also carry out all aspects of assessment.
Progression Agreements
Our articulation and progression agreements with partner institutions allows students from around the
globe to make an easy and smooth transition to a programme of study at Coventry University in the
UK.

Ranked the Top Private University in Ghana and 7th overall in the country
The collaboration was established in 2010 covering a suite of MBA and
MSc programmes in the areas of Oil and Gas, Finance, Business,
Engineering and Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics,
Management Information Systems, and Information Technology
Nearly 4000 students have graduated since 2010
The next phase is to develop the partnership to increase the portfolio of
courses and expand provision from currently Accra and Kumasi to Sekondi-
Takoradi and potentially a fourth campus

The partnership primarily focus on the teaching of a portfolio of
programmes which reflect the nature of the institution and the

Coventry University is one of the UK’s leading recruiters of international and
EU students, with over 6,000 students from over nearly 130 different
countries. 25% of the student population is from outside the UK.
The International Office is based in the purpose-built Student Centre on the
University’s single-site campus in Coventry. The International Office team
comprises 50 members of staff, with offices in China, Indonesia, Kenya,
Nigeria and Pakistan
