You must choose a theme for your coursework project that interests you personally, such as a subject you like to draw, photograph or paint. The theme you select will be used throughout the project, so choose carefully. This week and over the upcoming half term break, tasks to complete include creating a double-page mood board and spider diagram on your theme, a double page profile of an artist related to your theme, taking at least 40 photographs of your theme and selecting images from those photos to print for an upcoming trip to create etchings and lino prints related to your theme.

1. Chosen Theme
You now need narrow down the theme to make
your project more personal to you. Think about
what interests you, what you like to draw,
photograph, paint etc. It is important that you
choose carefully as you will use this theme for the
rest of your coursework project.

This week, next week + over Half Term……
-Create a double page mood board and/or a double page spider diagram on your
chosen theme.
-Create a double page on an Artist that links to your chosen theme.. This should
include images, writing (using the support sheets) and a transcription.
-Take at least 40 photographs of your chosen theme. Print these images on
photographic paper and save them onto a memory stick.
-Choose images for Curwen trip. These should link to your chosen theme and be
printed A5. Consider what will work well for etching and lino prints
