Coral reefs are underwater ecosystems found in warm, tropical oceans near the equator, home to 25% of all ocean life. They provide habitat for species like starfish, jellyfish, sea turtles, and sea anemones. Coral reefs are used by humans for activities like snorkeling and boating and also supply food and medicine. They act as barriers protecting coastlines from waves and require clean, warm water between 20-28°C to remain healthy.
