This document discusses two cooperative learning techniques: Jigsaw and Kagan structures. For Jigsaw, students are divided into home groups and expert groups to read texts on water topics. They discuss the texts in expert groups then share their expertise with their home groups. For Kagan structures, students work in groups to generate ideas on slips of paper about saving water or pollution. They aim to collectively "cover the table" with ideas within a time limit using differently colored post-it notes to promote participation. The goal is for students to learn from each other through cooperative group work.
