2. What is iCivics.org?
A non-profit organization to renew civic educational
learning through digital media. Founded in 2009 by
Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor.
Their Mission:
To prepare young Americans for active and intelligent
citizenship.

3. STRENGTHS WEAKNESSES OPPORTUNITIES THREATS
Strengths:
• It’s free
•Lessons aligned by state standards
•They offer lesson plans, web quests, games, a
drafting board and DBquest
•Easy navigation
•No personally identifiable information is used on
the site.

Weaknesses:
•Lessons could be more challenging.

Opportunities:
• Set up a virtual classroom
• Most materials can be printed as class sets and do not
require students to have computer access
• Keep track of student learning with assignment, tracking,
and reporting tools.
