2. Conventions of a film opening that
we met..
I feel that we were quite successful in the opening of our film as we met
conventions such as:
•The titles- which I feel are a suitable amount and are not too over powering
are required in any film opening.
•Introduces the actors – which we done through the use of titles and also
through film footage matching the person such as when the main actress is
introduced it is under a picture of her.
3. Conventions of a thriller genre that
we met..
•Building of suspense- I think we did this quite well in the film opening, as we
kept the antagonist hidden which raises questions to the audience and
suspense of what is happening.
•We have the introduction of a bad guy- which is linked to the suspense as
you do not see him full on in the opening which raises questions.
•The use of lighting- was also used to create a sense of tension as we used
low lighting which builds tension due to the darkness leaving a sense of
unknown.
•The varying camera angles was also important- this is because they are used
to create variation for the audience but shows the mass of the stalkers
obsession and this creates tension again to the audience.
