The magazines also have distinct designs - UNCUT uses a formal serif font and single centered photo, while Kerrang uses an onomatopoeic masthead, smashed text style, and multiple cover photos connoting rebellion. This is the first evaluation question I am required to answer as part of my A2 Media Studies coursework. This answer looks at the ways my media products (magazine cover, film poster and film trailer) resemble real products out there
Previously I uploaded a document showcasing the primary research I carried out to find my target audience. The overall project is to shoot a film trailer in groups (we chose to do a kidnapping thriller)
For my A2 Media Studies course, I have been asked to produce a film trailer in groups. We have chosen to do a kidnapping thriller and one of the research and planning tasks is to produce a survey to find out our target audience.
1) The trailer uses a variety of shots including mid shots, close ups, and over-the-shoulder shots to set the scene of family celebration and later build tension.
2) As the situation escalates from a family gathering to a kidnapping, the lighting shifts from bright high-key lighting to darker low-key lighting to match the mood.
3) Various props like guns, an RV, and a pencil-like tool are used to provide clues about the plot and suggest this is not a typical crime thriller given who is using the weapons.
4) Editing with slow fades and quick cuts pacing increases the suspense as clues are revealed about the missing children while keeping the identity of
Detective Gibson sets out to clear his name by investigating recent kidnapping cases in his town. He finds evidence at an abandoned house linking a serial kidnapper to the crimes. When Gibson confronts the kidnapper at the house, he finds a young girl being held hostage. A fight ensues between Gibson and the kidnapper, during which Gibson is shot in the leg. They point their guns at each other, with neither one's fate revealed, as it fades to black.
The target audience for the hip hop magazine would be males ages 13-25, primarily African American males, from lower to middle socioeconomic classes. Specifically, the audience would be 65% male, 35% female, with 50% between ages 13-18, 20% ages 19-24, and the median age being 20. 73% would be Black/African American, 17% White, and smaller percentages of other races. Most would be currently in college or employed. They would be interested in hip hop music and culture and able to understand the lyrics.
This document discusses how the media product represents different social groups. Firstly, items featured on the cover like chains would appeal to higher social classes familiar with such accessories. Designer clothing and hairstyles on the contents page could appeal to both higher and lower classes for different reasons. The main image of someone in a hoodie appeals more to lower/middle classes who may hide their faces due to low social status. The hip hop genre discusses lavish lifestyles appealing to upper classes, and hard upbringings appealing to lower/middle classes who want inspiration. The target age group of 13-25 is youthful and used to various backgrounds. Both genders are aimed for through featuring hip hop appealing to both.
The target audience for the hip hop magazine would be youth ages 13 to 25, with a focus on males ages 13 to 18 who make up 50% of the audience. While both males and females listen to hip hop, 75% of listeners are male. The target audience would also be of lower-middle socioeconomic status and African American, as hip hop originated in African American communities. The document describes the design choices made for the front cover of a magazine called "U.T.I" or "Under the Influence". A grey and white gradient was used to give the cover a professional and simple look, achieving two main aims of the design. A gradient of white and dark grey was used on the front cover to give the magazine a professional and simple look, achieving two main design aims. The masthead "U.T.I" stands for "Under the Influence" and was chosen on instinct as it is a suitable, unique, and attention-grabbing name for a hip hop magazine. The metallic text effect contributes to a brutal and tough look for the masthead that reflects the nature of hip hop music.
The document discusses different masthead designs for a hip-hop magazine. The first design says "U.T.I." in an urban style to represent the genre, and is simple yet stands out. The second uses a distorted font that could seem unprofessional or immature. The third resembles many popular hip-hop mastheads in being simple and bold. The author decides on the first design as it is distinct yet maintains an urban look important for a hip-hop magazine, finding the second too boring and the third possibly unprofessional.
The 7-day production schedule includes: planning and time management on day 1; photo shoots on day 2; photo editing on day 3; designing the front cover using photos on day 4; designing the contents page on day 5; designing the double page article spread on day 6; and final adjustments and refining on day 7.
The document outlines some health and safety risks that need to be considered for a magazine photo shoot. Camera equipment needs to be securely mounted to tripods to prevent falling and hurting anyone. Electrical equipment also needs protection from rain to avoid damage or sparks that could harm people. Models should not have light sensitivities and must feel comfortable in the positions used to avoid risk of injury. Props like knives also require careful usage to maintain safety.

How to Make a Field Mandatory in Odoo 17Celine George
ย
In Odoo, making a field required can be done through both Python code and XML views. When you set the required attribute to True in Python code, it makes the field required across all views where it's used. Conversely, when you set the required attribute in XML views, it makes the field required only in the context of that particular view.
