Contract Essay
Writing an essay on the topic of contracts can be a challenging task that demands a
comprehensive understanding of legal concepts, intricate details of contract law, and the ability
to articulate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner. The difficulty arises from the need to
navigate through a myriad of legal principles, cases, and statutes to present a well-reasoned and
logically structured argument.
The process of crafting a contract essay involves extensive research to gather relevant
information, staying updated with the latest legal developments, and interpreting case law to
support your analysis. Grappling with intricate legal language and ensuring accuracy in the
interpretation of statutes further adds to the complexity. Balancing theoretical concepts with
practical applications, while adhering to academic standards, places a premium on one's ability to
synthesize information effectively.
Moreover, constructing a compelling and coherent argument requires a keen analytical mindset to
identify legal issues, evaluate competing viewpoints, and provide nuanced solutions. The
precision demanded by legal writing, coupled with the necessity to avoid ambiguity, demands a
meticulous approach to language and structure.
In addition, the stakes are high when dealing with legal topics; the essay must reflect a deep
understanding of the subject matter and showcase critical thinking skills. This involves the
ability to engage with legal debates, anticipate counterarguments, and present a persuasive case.
In conclusion, composing an essay on contracts necessitates not only a thorough understanding
of legal concepts but also a refined skill set in legal analysis, research, and effective
communication. It is a challenging endeavor that requires dedication and attention to detail to
produce a high-quality piece of legal writing.

Challenges of Life
Challenge is an inevitable fate in human s life. People often find themselves in
challenges of different magnitude unexpectedly. Challenges can be as easy as
waking up early in the morning to a situation that could put one s life in jeopardy.
People always have a yearning to advance themselves in whatever things they want to
pursue in life, but nothing in this world seems to be achievable without some sort of
challengeon the way. Although people these days tend to perceive the negative
influence of challenges, several people relish the positive sways, and believe
challenges illustrate their true self or their ability to achieve their full potential. Out
of all, challenge prepares people for tomorrow by making sure they have efficiently
accomplished the demands of today. That is why people who embrace today s
challenges are likely to embark on tomorrow s opportunities.
In my society I hear people talking about their problem and the hardships they have
encountered. As a Highschooler and rising college freshman, I myself have had
numerous difficulties. It is typical for a person including myself trying to take the
easy way out or restrain oneself from challenges, but I found far less of what truly
is considered a success. After all Success is a manifestation of a resolved challenge.
That is why a quote by Booker T. Washington Success is to be measured not so
much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has
overcome while trying to succeed.
Bread Produced with 100% Ontario Based Flour
In January, 2013 we began our experimental work by conducting detailed analysis
of results of bread produced with 100% Ontario based flour. Since direct
application of Ontario based flour resulted in excessive dryness, and reduced
volume of bread, we decided to conduct series of semi industrial trials in order to
adapt our present formula to new flourchemical composition. The objective of our
investigation in this phase was to apply Ontario flour, and get the breadwith the same
moisture, and volume as it is originally.
After this first attempt in January, 2013 we firstly tried to increase gluten structure.
Gluten is additive commonly used in bakery industry which primary function is to
enhance gas retention capacity, water absorption, and retention, as well as, increase
dough strength. Initially, our formula contained 3 4 % of gluten, and we tested
formulas with up to 10% of gluten. Increasing of gluten did not give significant
results, and formulas with 10% of gluten had increase of volume of about 10%. We
did not test formulas with more than 10% of gluten because it is very expensive
additive, and it is not economically to apply it in higher concentrations.
After learning that gluten does not give expected results, our next step was increasing
protein level by introducing the balancing the flours. We decided to introduce harder
wheat flours with higher concentration of proteins. Average protein level of Ontario
flour is 10.5%, while west flours contain 12.7 В±

The legalities that play out through the movie show the social service system as best

there are government programs that help specifically with DD parents and even the
same parents that are raising DD children. The Division of Developmental

William Faulkner s A Rose For Emily
literary Response to A Rose for Emily A Rose for Emily by William Faulkner was
published in 1930. This short story is set in an old southern town. I believe that
this and several other combinations of events are what made the main character
Miss Emily go insane. Miss Emily was an old school southern woman trapped in a
modernizing society. She tried desperately to keep to her old ways, but the
changes that happened around her were inevitable. This made me feel like
something was going to go wrong very early in the story. It became very apparent
to me that Emily did not deal well with change. Throughout the story, I felt sorry
for her, because I do not deal well with change either. I find it hard and stressful to
deal with. Thus I can see how her changing environment directly impacted Miss
Emily s life. When Emily met the love of her life she slowly became obsessed with
him. This was until one day he betrayed her by spreading rumors about her that
weren t true. As the town grew more and more people heard these rumors and
began to think less of Miss Emily. This along with her sheltered and isolated
childhood could have been what drove Miss Emily to become a murder later on in
her life. There are many events that occurred throughout the story that triggered my
overall reaction. I noticed that the words iron gray hair (124) were repeated several
times throughout the story. This not only gave an idea of Emily s age, but added a
sense of mystery to the scene. One
Elk Swimming Pool Research Paper
It was the summer of 2008, in August. My family and I were at The Elks swimming
pool (it is now called The Great Life swimming pool). It was the year of the summer
Olympics and I had been watching the diving portion of the Olympics.
I was four years old about to turn five in September, when while we were swimming
I thought about the Olympics and about how they dive in backwards into the pool to
start swimming their laps. At the time my family and I were the only ones at the pool
besides some lifeguards.
I wanted to try to do a back dive. So I tried and I did the flip but didn t jump out far
enough and I slammed my jaw on the side of the pool which was metal. It was a
good thing my dad was watching because I blacked out for a second and

importance of animal right activist groups such as PETA(People of the Ethical

The USDA found that Boys Town failed to comply with the Animal Welfare Act.
PETA also discovered that only twenty three out of fifty four dogs slated for cancer
experiments at the City of Hope, a federally funded laboratory, survived long enough
for the actual experiment to begin. The rest died of infections, poisoning, anesthesia
overdose, and other causes linked to gross negligence, inadequate veterinary care, and
improper housing. Such abuse acts on animals are inhumane and absolutely
unnecessary. With PETA s protection, animals can live freely without being subjected
to researchers invasive and hostile terrorists like acts.
Laboratory experiments are not the only place where unethical treatment of animals
takes place. In the business of fur trading many animals are tormented and killed
ruthlessly. In one of PETA s precedent setting cases, a California furrier was charged
with cruelty after a PETA investigator filmed him electrocuting chinchillas by
clipping wires to the animals genitals. The American Veterinary Medical Association
denounced the killing method saying, quot; it causes animals to experience a heart
attack while fully conscious. quot; In another undercover expose, PETA videotaped a

Rubin Carter Trial Analysis
Justice is all I ask for. Justice
The Justice system did not treat Rubin Carter fairly because he was wrongfully
convicted of murder. Carter was racially profiled because he was a black man and
the evidence of the crime committed was hidden from the justice system. Carter had
gone through three trials in total and out of those three trials two trials were based
off of the given evidence that was tamperd with which made it look like Carter had
done the murder. Those two trials only had white people on jury order and those
people firmly belived that if a murder had occured the murderer would be a
coloured person and in this case it was Carter. This did not give Carter a fair chance
at freedom and to prove to the court that he did not do the murder.
The Best Mental Approaches A Child Should Take
the best mental approaches a child should take. I will then progress exploring one
calculation in extra detail, looking at ways to teach the problem, manipulatives I
would use to support the problem and how they link to the year two national
curriculum.
The addition is the first operation children learn from a young age and mastering it,
is the first step toward the long lasting appreciation of maths. Children from Early
Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) do not need to memorise complex additions in order
to become confident with basic addition. instead, teachers support children to practice
counting; counting on, doubling, learning place value visually rather than mentally
and encourage them to do it in different ways. They also use ... Show more content on

However, with subtraction calculations, this is not possible. Hence they are expected
to use inverse relationship between addition and subtraction to check calculations and
solve missing number problems. (NC, 2013).
One of the approaches, which is highly recommended for children to practise, is to do
addition calculations mentally (working out calculations in their head) using various
strategies, which is the focus of this essay. Tony Cotton (2013, p.109) states that
developing mental approaches is more efficient to work out solutions to problems and
helps children to become fluent in mental calculation. However, doing mental
calculations, such as addition, can be challenging and confusing for some children.
Therefore, introducing appropriate strategies (for example counting on, partitioning,
bridging through 10) and using them to draw images or mark making will encourage
children to see calculations in their heads and will allow them to use the strategy
which is the most suited for them (Cotton, 2013, p. 110).
Ian Thomson also suggests (I part 1 addition) that visual representation plays an
important role in developing mental addition. for example, number lines help
children to recognise place value and with prior knowledge of ordinal sense of
numbers, it helps them to move from counting in ones to counting in larger steps,
such as 2, 5, 10, 100 and so
My Three Most Important Goals In My Life
Goals are something that people set themselves and work hard to complete. These
goals can be something you want to complete in your life. Everyone has many
goals they are fighting to get to. I have many goals that I wanted to do throughout
my life. In this essay, I will write about three most important goals in my life. The
first goal is education, and the second goal is family and the third goal are to build
my own house.
I think the most important goal in the life for everyone is education. Education is
very important because if you do not have a good education it will be hard to get a
job. In many countries, it is very hard to get a good education, and I feel very proud
to live in a country where it is easy to get an education. Many people think education
is only reading and writing, but it is more than that. Education gives us knowledge of
the world around us and changes it into something better. The main reason education
is important for me is that I want to get a job I like to work with. I hope that I can

Similarities Between Zombieland And Shaun Of The Dead
Horror and Comedy have both been genres that stray very far from one another. In
the last few years, many movies have starting appearing that combine the two, into
a subgenre called comedy horror. Two films in particular that use this subgenre are
Zombieland and Shaun of the Dead. Zombieland is a film focusing on a young
guy called Columbus who is in search for his family, and meets a few people along
the way through the zombie apocalypse. Shaun of the Dead focuses on a middle
aged man called Shaun who lives a boring life and is now faced with the zombie
apocalypse and losing his girlfriend. This essay will explore the similarities and
differences between these two films.
The first film of this essay is Zombieland by Ruben Fleischer, this film focuses on
the adventures of an awkward and quirky guy called Columbus as he tries to get
back to his parents while surviving the zombie apocalypse.
The purpose of this film is the purpose that any big hollywood film has, which is to
make money for the crew that created it, and to entertain viewers of the film. The
audience of this film would most likely be people who are in their late teens and
over. This is because of the nature of the film, it s quite graphic and could be too
much for people who are younger than this. There are several scenes in which
zombies are seen eating people, and are also seen being shot, both of which are
extremely graphic and could be found as quite disturbing.
A comedy horror film such as Zombieland or
Diversity Is An Ethical Imperative For Any Organization
a. Diversity is an ethical imperative for any organization; it is A major local,
national, and international challenge and an opportunity for every human being if
we are to live in a peaceful and healthy world . As a leading organization in the
Healthcare industry, The twenty first century managers know that managing
diversity is a key fundamental strategy to effectively manage employees to get
results. Therefore, for the twenty first century organization, the true sustainable
advantages and a long term competitive edge come from the success of each
individual manager and employee within the organization (Alexander, 2015 pg.
13). The case for diversity consists of diversity s contribution to one or more of
four factors. The four are, increasing revenue or gross margin; enhancing
compliance or reducing litigation risk; enhancing corporate goodwill (to become
the employer of choice); and as part of tone at the top, when corporate leadership
believes diversity is the right thing to do. (Orenstein, 2005 pg. 22). The Bible says
in Revelation 5:9, And they sang a new song, saying: You are worthy to take the
scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you
purchased for God persons from every tribe and language and people and nation .
Diversity is the cornerstone to any company, organization or group; it can be applied
to many aspects of businesses for example, some executives were also found to take
a holistic approach to diversity, making
The Pros And Cons Of Intermediate Corrections
Public safety is best secured by a comprehensive system that executes imprisonment
for the most serious offender and supervision for offenders who are reentering society.
As offenders transition from prison back to the community, the primary objective of
intermediate sanctions is to protect public safety through alternatives other than
incarceration. Rehabilitative and treatment programs must be provided within an
institutional setting and in the community to minimize the risks of public safety.
Seventy eight percent of convicted offenders are supervised in the community. Some
fear that restorative programs could result in sanctions imposed on individuals,
especially juveniles, who would have simply been forgotten if intermediate sanctions
I Don t Like The Most Is Black Pink
For this assignment I decided to focus on music primarily Korean girl groups,
specifically for me the group I don t like the most is Black Pink. In my opinion
they are all good individuals and characters, however the type of music that they
create is very similar to other types of girl groups such as TWICE and 2NE1. The
main aspects within the types of music that these girl groups create, stems from a
heavy mixture of aegyo which is a cutesy concept that over displays femininity as
band members attempt to portray affection in child like voices, features, gestures, and
expressions. This form of cutesy concept in my opinion is demeaning towards women
, as I don t think the main body of the group should revolve around this. Another

Since it is often seen at least within American girl groups that all members are able

they appear trying to force a mature and more adult themed video it s too serious, and
melodramatic...I prefer more upbeat and happy songs she proclaims.
As I looked more into this on blog posts and fan websites I began to see others who
had the same opinions as mine and others which differed and gave alternative mind
boggling perspectives. Some girls are believe it is not the girls in the girl group s
faults, per se rather the producing company. It s the concept which is developed by
the companies and forced upon the members. I see many comments of fans claiming
that they don t like the concepts but the girls themselves are very talented (Why do
some fans dislike girl groups? para 5). Many comments suggests that fans enjoy both
girl and guy k pop groups, however sometimes the girl groups act way too cute and
sexy than guy groups (Why do some fans dislike girl groups? para 6) this creates fans
to dislike the fact that the girl groups need to act more like this in order for them to
be noticed in a good or a bad way.
The Suicide Of The Marine Corps
Senior enlisted leaders are ask to come up with solutions to stop suicide in the
Marine Corps. I am going to talk about three topics that I feel important to stop
suicide; (1) All hands responsibility, (2) Spiritual guidance, (3) Mental ship awareness
program. Suicide is all hands responsibility because Marines are one family that strive
to do their best for the best interest of the institution. Marines care for one another and
the moment someone commit suicidein the MarineCorps, it has a great impact on our
emotional state of mind, mission readiness, and how to deal with suicide while still
fresh in our environment. This is important to talk about it vice walking away and let
the time cure the unanswered question. After a Marine commit suicide I find it a
critical point to educate the force on why taking your life is not the solution, why any
suicide is a death that touches someone (Kelly, 2015). Educating Marines that there is
a solution to any problem and giving the solutions via resources within the Battalion
is important because at least there is chance within reach with someone that you see
every day.
Consequently, I will integrate professional health counselors at the Battalion level at
least, I will recommend they conduct not only assistance to those who need it but
also frequent surveys in order to zero down on causes before the individual takes his
or her own life as we all still trying to find out the why such name Marine committed

A Reflection On The Inequality In The Classroom
Feedback was provided throughout all parts of the assessment. If the students did
something correctly, they had words of encouragement by their work. This helps to
show the students their strengths in the assessment. Some of the problems they did
well on had an extension with their feedback such as how would their inequality look
on a number line.
Student 1 struggled with placing integers on the number line. The feedback provided
at this part of the assessment said, Is 3 further away from 0 than 5? and to try using a
vertical number line to help them. By using a vertical number line, the student could
relate it back to the exploratory activity when the students saw that when an object
was underwater, it was a negative amount. Student 1 did very well writing the
inequality for a given sentence and writing a sentence for a given inequality. On the
part where they were writing the inequality for the given sentence, the feedback says,
Great job! How could you show this on a number line? This is letting the student
know that they are doing this correctly and it is connecting to the number line which
is something to student is struggling with. By connecting the inequality to the
number line, the student may be able to fix their misconception. Student 1 was able
to answer the first two word problems correctly. The feedback provided for the word
problem involving temperature asked the student how the integers would look on a
number line. This, again, takes something that the
Short Term Effects Of Steroids
A popular short term fix leads to negative long term effects. Anabolic steroids work
differently from other drugs of abuse; they do not have the same short term effects on
the brain (Anabolic Steroids). Steroids are boosts of testosterone that can be
prescribed by doctors for patients with disorders with their muscles. Some athletes
abuse them for higher performance results. Although using steroids is a fast way to
gain muscle, they should be taken only for medical use, due to their harmful effects
on the human body, the mental health of the user, and they are addictive.
Steroids can lead to death causing effects like heart problems, liver damage, and
kidney problems. Steroids increase the risk that blood clots will form in blood vessels,

Individuals who abuse steroids can experience withdrawal symptoms when they stop
taking steroids, such as mood swings, fatigue, restlessness, loss of appetite, insomnia,
reduced sex drive, and steroid cravings (Anabolic Steroid Abuse). When taking
steroids your body will live off the feelings and emotions that it gives, so when
your body stops the intake of steroids it starts to react from being deprived of it.
The most dangerous of the withdrawal symptoms is depression, because it
sometimes leads to suicide attempts (Anabolic Steroids Abuse). Depression can
come from many things in a person s life but when withdrawal from steroids is the
reason for it then it could have been avoided. Steroids become an addiction because
when people stop taking them their body goes through withdrawal so the person most
likely starts taking them again.
Steroids can cause serious harm to the human body. They re really bad for the
mental health of a person. Steroids are addictive if abused in the body. Gaining
muscle can occur through using steroids but medical use should be the only reason
for their intake because of the harmful effects on the human body, the mental health
of the user and the fact that they are addictive. Steroids should be used with
precaution since they so easily cause so much damage to

Child marriage, also known as Child, Early, and Forced Marriage (CEFM), by the
United States Agency of International Development (USAID), is an issue of global
proportions. Since, the problem itself crosses multiple aspects of a society, a multi
sector approach is recommended by USAID and many other global nongovernmental
organizations (NGOs) to alleviate the burdens that are both causes and effects of
CEFM (Glinski, Sexton, Meyers, 2015). Child ... Show more content on

These religious traditions, which have become normalcies, regardless of legislation to
raise the minimum age for marriage to eighteen, CEFM is still widely practiced. This
presents an uphill battle that requires a multi sector approach to address not only
religious aspects, but also financial and economic factors that may limit the poorest of
women from attaining the healthcare required to treat the harmful consequences of
adolescent pregnancy. This puts women at even greater risk for maternal mortality,
and post natal mortality.
Many successful interventions and sustainable strategies have been proven useful
in shifting perspectives both in respects to gender inequality and access to
essential resources, which all have an affect on reducing rates of CEFM across the
globe. In Morocco, the King has already taken initiative toward passing laws
raising the minimum marriage age from fifteen to eighteen, for women, in Article
19 of the reformed Moudawana al Usra (pg. 218), Morocco s Family Code, passed in
2004 (Zvan Elliot, 2009). This is one example of how the government s role has
supported the multi sector approach.
Since the multi sector system brings together outside global NGO s, inter agencies,
government, and ministries of health and justice, adolescent married girls and women

Vietnam Folk Games
Vietnam folk games
Vietnam folk games have been formed and existed for a long time. They are more
than entertainment, they contain Vietnamese culture. Bamboo jacks, the game of the
dragon and snake, blind man s buff, the game of squares and so on are very
interesting and useful. However, folk games are being gradually lost. Children are at
a disadvantage, if they don t have a chance to play them. So it is very important to
introduce and develop folk games to the children and everybody as well.
1/ The origin of Vietnam folk games:
Vietnam folk games have been created and developed naturally through daily
activities in the countryside. They are usually simple, easy to join and cheap, so we
can play them anytime, anywhere. Small ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
During this stage, the player losses the ball and then transfers the pack of sticks
from one hand to the other. She must successively switch the bundle, first once,
then twice, then three or even more times before catching the ball. The hands of a
girl playing bamboo jacks open and close like small butterflies. If a player s hands are
not swift or if her eyes are not sharp, or if she fails to coordinate the two, she will
lose her turn. The game will pass to the next girl. Playing bamboo jacks warms up
the body and creates a lot of fun. During summer or autumn, small girls play it
everywhere, from the shade of a village banyan tree to a deserted market stall.
3/ The meaning of Vietnam folk games:
Vietnam folk games have a wealth of meaning. They are very suitable for children.
This is one of the interesting ways for children to entertain in their free time or after
studying hard. When students are fond of folk games, parents don t worry they may
be involved with useless or harmful games. They give the children a safe environment
to stay away from the social evils. Through these games, children can also make
friends and have many unforgettable memories.
Moreover, folk games improve children s health and their intelligence as well. For
example, wrestling is an active game for boys to better their health, cleverness and
speed. The game of Square does not request speed and skill but the patience. The
solidarity will be
The Importance Of Children s Rights
Child rights continue to be a subject of international debate. Around the world, many
government and non government officials seek to enhance children s rights. Children
are generally vulnerable to mistreatment, violent behavior by others, cruelty and
ignorance. This results in various problems in the children including critical issues
such as high infant mortality, unhealthy mind and body condition, improperly
developed parenting skills for future life; they go about roaming on the streets and
do not have a home, tend to leave school at early age and have other difficulties in
education. All these factors contribute to a poor life and in this respect; The United
NationsChildren Fund (UNICEF) puts a lot of emphasis on the child protection
rights. Moreover, children are likely to have a more healthy body and mind as they
grow up, and have a higher self confidence and esteem in the future, if they are
provided with a conducive environment for psycho social growth and their rights are
adequately protected. The universal recognition of these special needs of children led
to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) in addition to the
international human rightsframework. The U.N. Convention on the Rights of the
Child was adopted on 20th November 1989 and provides that national governments
will respect and enforce children s rights. The Convention is a focal point of children
s rights efforts, because nearly every national governmentincluding India and 191
Pre-Disciplinary Communication Reflection
On August 31, 2017 I spoke with Officer Burns via telephone in regards to his
pending discipline and some concerns that had been brought to my attention by
fellow officers and supervisors. The first portion of the conversation centered on his
pending discipline and determining a date that would be acceptable for him to attend
a pre disciplinary hearing with Captain Berger to discuss the alleged violations.
During this conversation I explained the severity of the violations and that based
upon the number of violations within the past twelve months he will subjectto the
progressive discipline policy.
It was stressed to Officer Burns that he could also be subject to termination in the
future if his performance did not improve and he committed another violation. Officer
Burns acknowledged that he understood the severity of the violations and
acknowledged that he was aware of the progressive discipline policy of the city. After
discussing the policy violations and determining an acceptable date for the pre
disciplinary hearing, I segued to the topic of the performance concerns that were
brought to my attention.
The first instance I spoke with Officer Burns about was the concerns that were
brought up by Sgt. Adam Smotrich. Sgt. Smotrich detailed in a message to me that
while on a call with Officer Burns involving an individual experiencing an
emotional crisis and wielding a metal pipe, he became increasingly concerned that
Officer Burns would be unable to defend himself. The reason for this concern was
based upon the perceived physical limitations demonstrated by Officer Burns on the
call. Sgt. Smotrich noted a noticeable limp and lack of ability to move laterally or
backwards in a reasonably quick manner.
This caused Sgt. Smotrich concern because he did not want Officer Burns to fall and
be unable to defend himself if the subject advanced quickly while wielding a pipe.
Sgt. Smotrich indicated he felt that Officer Burns would have been unable to
adequately defend himself or assist him if he needed it. Sgt. Smotrich also noticed
that after Officer Burns handcuffed the subject who was on the ground in a prone
position, he labored to successfully get up without assistance. Sgt. Smotrich felt it
Essay about Richard the Lionheart
Introduction Richard I reigned over England during the Middle Ages from 1189 to
1199 with great bravery and immense courage. Richard was born as the third
legitimate son of King Henry II of England and never assumed that he would ever
ascend to become the king. After leading his country in the Third Crusade, he gained
the nicknames the lionhearted and the absent king. Through many heroic deeds while
away at war, he deserved the nickname of The Lionhearted the most.
Body
Richard was born on September 8, 1157, at Beaumont Palace in Oxford, England. He
was the fourth child and third son of King Henry II of England and Eleanor of
Aquitaine. Not much is known about Richard s education; however, he could not
speak English, and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Through his time at war as well as some other major events that happened during
his life, Richard came to be known as the Lionheart. One of these events would be
the revolt against his father in 1173. It is believed that Eleanor of Aquitaine,
Richard s mother, manipulated her sons (Richard, Geoffrey, and Henry III) to
revolt against their father. Seeking protection from Louis VII, Henry III
abandoned his father and left for the French court, shortly followed by his two
brothers. After a short amount of time, the brothers had attracted the support of
many barons through bribing them with money and land. After a successful
beginning to the revolt, Henry II marched his army of over twenty thousand
soldiers to face the rebellion and recaptured Dol and subdued Brittany. Henry II
attempted to make peace with his sons at this point, but as they had promised
Louis VII, they declined. Henry II continued to capture more cities and returned to
England with five hundred soldiers and his prisoners, including Eleanor and his
sons wives and fiancГ©es. After Henry II defeated Louis VII, a treaty was made
and Richard was specifically excluded. This rebellion against his father resulted in
less generous terms, where Richard was given control of two castles in Pitou, instead
of four castles in Aquitaine, and half the income of Aquitaine, instead of half of the
income of the duchy. Eleanor was also to remain a
The Performance Of A Good Corporate Image
Introduction Leadership plays a critical role in the achievement of organizational
growth and exhibit the best performance in the industry. Leadership determines the
success of an organization as it is important to understand that the companies that
perform excellently well in the industry are inspired by the conduct and attitude of
their leaders. Leaders need to institute measures and mechanisms that will
substantially improve the performance of their companies and project a good
corporate image. It is important to acknowledge that corporations never fail but
leaders do as they are charged with the primary mandate of ensuring that all the
operations of the companies are structured for excellence. In the case study, I will
look at MCI WorldCom that was significantly challenged by the lack of an elaborate
leadership structure to prevent the accounting scandal that brought the company
down risking bankruptcy proceedings against it. The company was exposed to
growing to be one of the largest companies in telecommunication in the world posting
excellent performance over time. The accounting scandal that failed to project a
positive image of the organization creating a perception that tainted their leadership
ethical standards in the performance of their core mandate. The leadership failed to
institute measures that will provide an environment free of deception on both the
shareholders and other stakeholders in the public domain. It is unfortunate that the
leaders who are
Psychological Theories Of Behavioral Finance
Behavioural Finance
Introduction
Behavioural finance is a relatively new area of evolving research in finance.
Behavioural finance seek to combine behavioural and cognitive psychological theory
with conventional economics and finance to get a better understanding for why
individual investors make irrational financial decisions.
According to Sewell (2007), Behavioural finance is the study of the influence of
psychology on the behaviour of financial practitioners and the subsequent effect on
markets. The science focuses on the effects of individual investors making decisions
based on hunches or emotions.
Ritter (2003, p.429), describes behavioural finance is based on psychology which
suggests that human decision processes are subject to several cognitive illusions.
These illusions are divided into two groups as illusions caused by heuristic decision
process and illusions rooted from the adoption of mental frames grouped in the
prospect theory (Waweru et al., 2008, p.27)
People may make predictable, non optimal choices when faced with difficult and
uncertain decisions because of heuristic simplification. Behavioral biases, abstractly,
are defined in the same way as systematic errors are, in judgment (Chen et al, 2007).
Behavioral finance theories, which are based on the psychology, attempt to
understand how the psychological variables (heuristics, prospect, and herding) and
perceived risk behaviour (Risk Perception, Risk attitude and Risk Propensity)
influence individual
The Impact Of Fashion Bloggers

Assessing blogs and blogging are some of the most significant topics to understand,
but unfortunately the research that exists is inadequate. Very little data is available
that shows the impact of blogger s outreach in the fashion industry, but still there are
successful fashion bloggers, who have been successful in establishing effective
relationships with fashion consumers. Consumer motivations are of great importance
to advertisers or marketers, they use different tools and tactics in attaining these
motivations among the consumers, one of those tools is blogging that is commonly
used by fashion industry.
Taking into account that bloggers have a big effect on fashion industry, and some
fashion brands are using blogs as a marketing strategy, i choose this topic to know the
importance and effectiveness of fashion bloggers in the modern fashion industry.

Does Ethics Matter
Is truth just a matter of personal opinion? Isn t one person s view of ethics just as
valid as another person s? Are not all views, in essence, the same? And does the
whole issue of truth and ethics really matter? Does it make any difference? Can the
honest seeker of truth decide without accurate data? In our consideration of ethicsthe
moral evaluation of what is right and what is wrong we will need to overcome some
common misconceptions people hold in this arena of ethical determination.
Personal opinion doesn t determine reality. For example, I can choose to believe that
the earth is flat, but the reality of the matter is that the earth is spherical not flat! I
may still choose to believe that it s flat, but I m still wrong! Another
Comparing Gilgamesh And The Biblical Flood
For centuries skeptics have questioned the authenticity of a great flood that covered
the Earth. First mentioned in the Genesis account, a great flood has also been
reported in other ancient writings such as the story of The Epic Gilgamesh from the
Sumerian civilization. Ever since the Gilgamesh text finding in the mid nineteenth
century, questions have arisen about the connection these stories could have with
each other. The question is if one has historical truth and the other is based on it, or
if both stories were drawn from the same mythology. However, deeper comparison
of Gilgamesh to the Flood of Noah shows that it is extremely unlikely that the
Biblical account of the flood is taken from the Sumerian text. While the two
narratives similarly depict a global flood, the contradicting details of the stories and
opposing world views indicate that the account of Noah is not reliant upon the story
of Gilgamesh. Due to this fact, the differences and similarities between the Epic of
Gilgameshand biblical flood can be perceived by analyzing the plot details, the main
hero,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Genesis describes the Earth flooding for forty days and forty nights, along with the
flood waters from the deep covering the face of the Earth. Genesis 7:11 describes
this phenomenon by saying how, all the springs of the great deep burst forth, and
the floodgates of the heavens are opened (Gen. 7:11). There is a more significant
amount of water being supplied to create the flood in Genesis than there is during
the six day rain episode in the Epic of Gilgamesh. This would logically allow the
Earth to be fully covered in water. A simple 6 day rain is not able to cover the entire
earth that the devastating flood of the bible requires. In comparison to the biblical
account, the epic seems to express signs of
How I Build A Teepee Fire
Data gathered from the National Vital Statistics System says that from 1999 to
2011, a total of 16,911 deaths in the United States for an average of 1,301 deaths per
year that was associated with exposure to excessive natural cold. Many of these
deaths could have been prevented if a fire was built to warm the victim, or a signal
for help. In the following paragraphs I will explain how to build a teepee fireto
whomever is reading this. It will cover all the basic skills and techniques needed to
build a successful tepee fire. I will also give some tips and tricks I ve learned over
the years.
Frist off to build a fire I need to gather my materials. These materials are as follows:
a lighter, rocks, a place to build the fire, some wood of all different sizes, a
pocketknife, and about two handfuls of a tinder. So now you must be wondering
what tinder is? Well it s simple; tinder is a material that you light to start a fire.
Tinder is also considered to be stage one in the fire building process. Which means
it s the first material in the fire to burn, and it needs to light the next level. Materials
that can be used as tinder is newspaper, dryer lint, hay, and cardboard.
You also may be wondering why a pocketknife. Well it s so that if I need to cut
something I have a tool for the job. So after I gather up a lighter, pocketknife, and
about two handfuls of tinder. I need to find a place to build the fire. It should be a
place where there is somewhat level ground, and is at least 15
Beck Manufacturing Company Capacity And Proficiency
Beck Manufacturing Company Capacity and Proficiency
The Beck Manufacturing Company currently has five operational work stations, in
which they produce steering gears for many auto manufacturers. Operation work
stations in place are for milling, grinding, boring, drilling and assembly of parts.
Within those operational departments the company must determine the organization
capacity inputs and outputs to satisfy their customer demands. Capacity is a
corporation s ability to deliver consumers goods, products or services in the volume
needed within the time period allotted. To accomplish these obligation organizations
will need to procure a physical location, working capital, skilled employees, and raw
material for accomplishing the anticipated level of productions in order to meet the
consumers demand. In business capacity planning is vital for the organization
sustainability in an economical business environment, Vonderembse, White (2013),
notes that substantial capital is generally required to build a facilities and for the
procurement of equipment to build capacity. (ch. 8.1). For example if a
manufacturers cannot deliver the required quantity of goods to a vendor on time due
to a shortage of inventory, then and there to buyer may find another vendor and the
business relationship can be severed.
But then again, the company does not want to have excess products sitting in
inventory and capacity without the demand from the consumers. Therefore, before
estimating capacity as

Dkny Ad Analysis
Be Delicious Perfume by DKNY Advertisement Analysis In the competitive market
America has today, all companies strive to be the number one choice for consumers
out of all their competitors. To achieve this goal, companies use various strategies in
their advertisements to appeal to the public. The company, Donna Karan New York
(also known as DKNY) is one of the millions of companies that works rhetorically in
its advertisement for its Be Delicious perfume. With sexual innuendos, symbolism,
attention grabbing images, the creation an image of beauty, and the indication that
one will be unique after using the product, DKNY effectively advertises its Be
Delicious perfume. DKNY uses sexual innuendos in its advertisement for the Be

Since similar standards for beauty have been created by advertisements have been
around for so long, women do not know they have been manipulated and now
accept them as true. Because of this, this advertisement s portrayal of a beautiful
woman is an effective strategy to convince women to buy the Be Delicious
perfume. By portraying the secondary message that whoever buys the Be Delicious
perfume will stand out among others, DKNY tries to convince consumers to
purchase its product. The title of the perfume, Be Delicious, shows that those who
buy the perfume will be attractive and those who do not buy the product will only
be ordinary. The woman in the advertisement also has a wide gap in her two front
teeth. In American society today, perfect teeth are considered to be gapless and
straight. This woman was most likely chosen to be in the advertisement because her
gap is unique and therefore makes her stand out. The advertisement tries to portray
the message that whoever uses the perfume will be as unique as the woman. The
name of the product and the woman s unique physical feature therefore show that
this perfume is made for women who would like to stand out among ordinary
people. The portrayal of the secondary message that a consumer of the product will
be socially distinctive is an effective strategy in convincing viewers to buy the Be
Delicious perfume. This is because Americans often try to receive
Thomas Hooker And Reverend Samuel Stone
The history of Hartford begins with Thomas Hooker s arrival in Newtown (later
renamed Cambridge) Massachusetts where he became a pastor of one of the earliest
established churches there. However, voting in Massachusetts was limited to
freemen or limited to people who had been formally interrogated on their religious
views and experiences. Hooker disagreed with these limitations and their influential
pastor, John Cotton. So, Thomas Hooker and Reverend Samuel Stone led a group of
one hundred people in 1636 and founded the settlement of Hartford. Which then led
to the founding of the ConnecticutColony and Hookers increased involvement in
politics. On January 14, 1639 freemen from the three colonies that made up the
Connecticut Colony sat down and ratified the Fundamental Orders of Connecticut
which was called the first written constitution known to history that created a
government. It marked the beginnings of American democracy, of which Thomas
Hooker deserves more than any other man to be called the father. The government of
the United States today is in lineal descent more nearly related to that of Connecticut
than to that of any of the other thirteen colonies (John Fiske). Having been founded
on such prestige Hartford has seen some of the greatest successes and some of the
worst failures. For example, Hartford claimed leader in both the industrial industry
and insuranceindustry. Hartford houses some of the most famous insurance agencies
and firearm factories.
Importance of Sex(Gender Role)
A gender role is a theoretical construct in the social sciences and humanities that
refers to a set of social and behavioral norms that, within a specific culture, are widely
considered to be socially appropriate for individuals of a specific gender. Proponents
of gender role theory assert that observed genderdifferences in behavior and
personality characteristics are, at least in part, socially constructed, and therefore, the
product of socialization experiences; this contrasts with other models of gender that
assert that gender differences are essential to biological sex. Research supports this
theory, finding gender differences in almost all societies, but with differences in the
norms adopted, suggesting that gender differences... Show more content on

These varied opinions of ethnoconvergence represent themselves in a spectrum;
assimilation, homogenization, acculturation, gender identities and cultural
compromise are commonly used terms for ethnoconvergence which flavor the issues
to a bias.
Often it is in a secular, multi ethnic environment that cultural concerns are both
minimalized and exacerbated; Ethnic prides are boasted, hierarchy is created ( center
culture versus periphery ) but on the other hand, they will still share a common
culture , and common language and behaviors. Often the elderly, more conservative
in association of a clan, tend to reject cross cultural associations, and participate in
ethnically similar community oriented activities.
Traditional gender roles include male attraction to females, and vice versa. Gay,
lesbian and bisexual people, among others, usually don t conform to these
expectations. An active conflict over the cultural acceptability of non heterosexuality
rages worldwide. (See Societal attitudes towards homosexuality.) The belief or
assumption that heterosexual relationships and acts are normal is described largely
by the opponents of this viewpoint as heterosexism or in queer theory,
heteronormativity.
Perhaps it is an attempt to reconcile this conflict that leads to a common assumption

Two GAFCEL salespeople one full time, the other about half time had reached a $1
million annual sales rate. Several of AirCap s distributors had taken on the GAFCEL
line. Hauser was preparing to recommend Sealed Air s reaction to these somewhat
unanticipated competitors. The firm could produce an uncoated bubble as cheaply as
GAFCEL within a month with no major capital investment; it could run on machines

champion of barrier coating offer an uncoated bubble, he would have to specify
timing, the marketing program for the new product, and any adjustments in policies
for AirCap cushioning and Sealed Air s other products. As Hauser thought about his
options, he again flipped through the training manual recently distributed to Sealed
Air s sales force: How to Sell against Uncoated Bubbles.
The Protective Packaging Market

Kingdom Politics Summary
Kingdom Politics by Kristopher Norris and Sam Speers neatly explores the FYS
question, How will we live in the world? via five microcosms across the United
States. They journey across the United States, exploring five different churches. Each,
with innovative ways to balance the relationship between faith and society. Kingdom
Politics is not necessarily an explanation of those two terms, but an insight into how
various churches live out the relationship between their allegiance to God and
country. Speers and Norris preface their cross country trip with an explanation of why
they embarked on the journey. Both Speers and Norris come from varied political and
religious backgrounds, however, they both agree that the church needs a new political
vision, one that takes its cues about the nature of politics from another political
reality: the kingdom of God (7). The authors are strongly convinced that mainstream
churches in America today focus disproportionately on either King or Kingdom at the
expense of the other. Although Norris and Speers explore a multiplicity a issues

The Mennonite ties of Prairie Street give it a distinctly different outlook from First

expense of a Christian approach to societal engagement. I grew up in a Dutch

it comes to open displays of faith. So, I can understand this approach, but I also know
that this approach can truncate societal change before it even takes
Road Trip Research Paper
Why didn t you put on some sunscreen? What were you thinking? These are some
of the questions that arose on a long summer road trip. During the summer of
2016, my family and I went on a three week road trip starting in Chestertown, NY,
and going as far west as Yellowstone National Park. The first stop on the trip was
Niagara Falls. We went at night, and the water was lit up in various colors, it was
pretty cool. These days heading out west were mainly long days in the truck
followed up with even more long days in the truck. Before we went to on the trip, I
thought that the trip down to Albany took forever, but a couple of fifteen plus hour
drives going out west made going to Albany seem like it was just down the road.
After two, maybe three days we were driving through Chicago at 3 in the morning
(that s the time of night I saw several major cities along this trip) I thought it looked
nice from what I could see, but then again it was 3 in the morning. That night, we
didn t have any reservations, so we ended up trying to just spend the night in a
Walmart parking lot on the outskirts of Chicago (what an idea). We tried to go to
bed for like 10 mins, and I swear I could hear a gun firing off in the distance, and
you could hear people walking by the camper, and not to mention the cop sirens
you could hear too. We basically got back in the truck and left real quick. Next, we
went north and ended up staying at a place on the Missouri River for a couple of
nights. The
Cosmology and Southern Gothic
The question, How did we get here, deals with cosmology, the study of the universe.
No one knows for sure how the universe works or how we got here, but many
Southern Gothic authors, such as Flannery O Connor and Edgar Allan Poe, use their
literature as a way of expressing their beliefs about the clockwork of the universe.
These authors use their dark and grotesque fictional stories to make sense of where
we, as humans, stand in the universe. In The Violent Bear it Away, O Connor uses
Francis Tarwater, a miracle who was saved by God, to answer the question, How
did we get here? Francis Tarwater goes through his life stuck in between two
completely opposite universes and is forced to choose which one he wants to be a

He eventually steps into the world of his great uncle Tarwarter and realizes that his
destiny forced him on a final revelation. (O Connor 233). O Connor shows through
young Tarwater s decision on the path of life he chose to take, to show God and the
universe impact people s lives in mysterious ways. Flannery O Connor displays the
theme of cosmology and explores the big picture of the universe in many other of her
Southern Gothic stories such as, The Lame Shall Enter First. The Lame Shall Enter
First is even more disquieting than most of O Connor s works, and her protagonist s
maneuverings for redemption are thoroughly skewed (Gentry 37). This short story is
about a widower, Sheppard, whose main purpose in life is to raise his only son,
Norton. But he abandons his son while trying to cope with the grief of his wife s
death. During this process, Sheppard turns his back on his hurting son, who is also
trying to deal with the death, and decides to do charitable deeds for others.
Sheppard tells his son, If you stop thinking about yourself and think what you can
do for somebody else then you ll stop missing your mother (O Connor____).
Sheppard s primary deed was taking in a troubled boy, from the local reformatory
he volunteers at named Rufus. Sheppard s dealings with Rufus are actually part of
an unconscious strategy for returning to an ideal. The ideal to which Sheppard
wishes to return, however, is his dead wife, and Rufus is to be her replacement

Researching entertainment production was mildly interesting, as well as the
productions of theatre and the entertainment side. While researching theatre, I came
across the highs and lows of having the lack of funding for theatre programs in
school. The goal of this paper is to explain the importance of theatrearts in public
schools across the United States. The Theatre Arts Department provides performing
and creative experiences in Theatre for all High Schoolstudents. Theatre Arts
programs offer a wide range of curricular courses and extra curricular activities.
Learning and experiencing theatre arts correlate intensely with higher
accomplishments in both reading, math and social skills. Entertainment production is
being researched. The... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
From experience with being in theatre, studies show that and believes it helps to
build self esteem. It helps with being creative and having a desire to be motivated
in yourself as well as in things you love. It allows you to be free, to express how
you feel through words, emotions and gestures. Being in theatre also helps students
have a better connection with one another. It helps students be more self motivated,
be self directed learners as well as listeners in and out the classroom. Students in
theatre will improve communication skills, understand that improving
communication is a life¬long learning process. Students will understand the
importance of testing ideas and the desirability of diverse points of views on and
off stage. They will also be prepared to participate actively as responsible members
of society have the knowledge and skills needed to perform successfully in a
showcase. Being in Theatre Arts allows students to increase self confidence, express
ideas, and apply knowledge of nonverbal communication in sending and receiving
messages. Also, students will learn to demonstrate critical thinking and organizational
skills. The principle of acting and the need for good thinking are identical in adults
and children s theatre (Goldberg,24). Creative drama teaches appreciation of children
s theatre and the latter provides a motivation for the former. (Goldberg,9) It was

Essay on Hydrophobic property of Carbon Nanotubes
Carbon fiber also has corrosion issues due to its chemical composition There are
many different types of corrosions. According to Boeing Engineer David Banis,
Concentration cell corrosion, or crevice corrosion, is the most common type of
corrosion found on airplanes (Banis 2). It occurred whenever water is trapped
between two surfaces, such as under loose paint, within a delaminated bond line, or
in an unsealed joint. The magnitude of the corrosion depends on the alloy that is
used. Carbon fiber with metal mesh is susceptible to severe corrosion if not properly
treated with the right sealant. Carbon fiber is also very hard to recycle. The reason
behind this is because it loses most of its strength during the recycling process, ...

In the article A Preliminary Study on the Effect of Macro Cavities Formation on
Properties of Carbon Nanotube Bucky Paper Composites by Ludovic DumГ©e, a
researcher at Dreakin University s institute for Frontier Materials, over the last decade
carbon nanotubes have attracted a lot of interest and efforts were made to incorporate
them efficiently into composite material structures (DumГ©e 558). DumГ©e
substantiates this statement by providing a number of data from research that has
been conducted in the last few decades. He provides charts and diagrams from some
of his own tests that show that carbon nanotubes can be easily processed as bucky
papers, which are entangled meshes of nanotubes (DumГ©e 628). Researchers and
engineers are currently studying bucky papers and investigating their properties.
Current research shows that bucky papers exhibit auspicious properties and they are
strong and flexible structures to engineer and examine (Bahr 6537). There are
predominantly two types of carbon nanotube structures that are currently being
studied and synthesized, multi walled carbon nanotubes and single walled carbon
nanotubes. The article Functionalization of Carbon Nanotubes by Electrochemical

Contract Essay

  • 1. Contract Essay Writing an essay on the topic of contracts can be a challenging task that demands a comprehensive understanding of legal concepts, intricate details of contract law, and the ability to articulate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner. The difficulty arises from the need to navigate through a myriad of legal principles, cases, and statutes to present a well-reasoned and logically structured argument. The process of crafting a contract essay involves extensive research to gather relevant information, staying updated with the latest legal developments, and interpreting case law to support your analysis. Grappling with intricate legal language and ensuring accuracy in the interpretation of statutes further adds to the complexity. Balancing theoretical concepts with practical applications, while adhering to academic standards, places a premium on one's ability to synthesize information effectively. Moreover, constructing a compelling and coherent argument requires a keen analytical mindset to identify legal issues, evaluate competing viewpoints, and provide nuanced solutions. The precision demanded by legal writing, coupled with the necessity to avoid ambiguity, demands a meticulous approach to language and structure. In addition, the stakes are high when dealing with legal topics; the essay must reflect a deep understanding of the subject matter and showcase critical thinking skills. This involves the ability to engage with legal debates, anticipate counterarguments, and present a persuasive case. In conclusion, composing an essay on contracts necessitates not only a thorough understanding of legal concepts but also a refined skill set in legal analysis, research, and effective communication. It is a challenging endeavor that requires dedication and attention to detail to produce a high-quality piece of legal writing. For those seeking assistance with similar essays or any other academic writing challenges, services like HelpWriting.net offer support and expertise to navigate the complexities of legal topics. • 2. Challenges of Life Challenge is an inevitable fate in human s life. People often find themselves in challenges of different magnitude unexpectedly. Challenges can be as easy as waking up early in the morning to a situation that could put one s life in jeopardy. People always have a yearning to advance themselves in whatever things they want to pursue in life, but nothing in this world seems to be achievable without some sort of challengeon the way. Although people these days tend to perceive the negative influence of challenges, several people relish the positive sways, and believe challenges illustrate their true self or their ability to achieve their full potential. Out of all, challenge prepares people for tomorrow by making sure they have efficiently accomplished the demands of today. That is why people who embrace today s challenges are likely to embark on tomorrow s opportunities. In my society I hear people talking about their problem and the hardships they have encountered. As a Highschooler and rising college freshman, I myself have had numerous difficulties. It is typical for a person including myself trying to take the easy way out or restrain oneself from challenges, but I found far less of what truly is considered a success. After all Success is a manifestation of a resolved challenge. That is why a quote by Booker T. Washington Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has overcome while trying to succeed.
  • 3. Bread Produced with 100% Ontario Based Flour In January, 2013 we began our experimental work by conducting detailed analysis of results of bread produced with 100% Ontario based flour. Since direct application of Ontario based flour resulted in excessive dryness, and reduced volume of bread, we decided to conduct series of semi industrial trials in order to adapt our present formula to new flourchemical composition. The objective of our investigation in this phase was to apply Ontario flour, and get the breadwith the same moisture, and volume as it is originally. After this first attempt in January, 2013 we firstly tried to increase gluten structure. Gluten is additive commonly used in bakery industry which primary function is to enhance gas retention capacity, water absorption, and retention, as well as, increase dough strength. Initially, our formula contained 3 4 % of gluten, and we tested formulas with up to 10% of gluten. Increasing of gluten did not give significant results, and formulas with 10% of gluten had increase of volume of about 10%. We did not test formulas with more than 10% of gluten because it is very expensive additive, and it is not economically to apply it in higher concentrations. After learning that gluten does not give expected results, our next step was increasing protein level by introducing the balancing the flours. We decided to introduce harder wheat flours with higher concentration of proteins. Average protein level of Ontario flour is 10.5%, while west flours contain 12.7 В±

  • 5. William Faulkner s A Rose For Emily literary Response to A Rose for Emily A Rose for Emily by William Faulkner was published in 1930. This short story is set in an old southern town. I believe that this and several other combinations of events are what made the main character Miss Emily go insane. Miss Emily was an old school southern woman trapped in a modernizing society. She tried desperately to keep to her old ways, but the changes that happened around her were inevitable. This made me feel like something was going to go wrong very early in the story. It became very apparent to me that Emily did not deal well with change. Throughout the story, I felt sorry for her, because I do not deal well with change either. I find it hard and stressful to deal with. Thus I can see how her changing environment directly impacted Miss Emily s life. When Emily met the love of her life she slowly became obsessed with him. This was until one day he betrayed her by spreading rumors about her that weren t true. As the town grew more and more people heard these rumors and began to think less of Miss Emily. This along with her sheltered and isolated childhood could have been what drove Miss Emily to become a murder later on in her life. There are many events that occurred throughout the story that triggered my overall reaction. I noticed that the words iron gray hair (124) were repeated several times throughout the story. This not only gave an idea of Emily s age, but added a sense of mystery to the scene. One

It was the year of the summer Olympics and I had been watching the diving portion of the Olympics. I was four years old about to turn five in September, when while we were swimming I thought about the Olympics and about how they dive in backwards into the pool to start swimming their laps. At the time my family and I were the only ones at the pool besides some lifeguards. I wanted to try to do a back dive. So I tried and I did the flip but didn t jump out far enough and I slammed my jaw on the side of the pool which was metal. It was a good thing my dad was watching because I blacked out for a second and

Hence they are expected to use inverse relationship between addition and subtraction to check calculations and solve missing number problems. (NC, 2013). One of the approaches, which is highly recommended for children to practise, is to do addition calculations mentally (working out calculations in their head) using various strategies, which is the focus of this essay. Tony Cotton (2013, p.109) states that developing mental approaches is more efficient to work out solutions to problems and helps children to become fluent in mental calculation. However, doing mental calculations, such as addition, can be challenging and confusing for some children. Therefore, introducing appropriate strategies (for example counting on, partitioning, bridging through 10) and using them to draw images or mark making will encourage children to see calculations in their heads and will allow them to use the strategy which is the most suited for them (Cotton, 2013, p. 110). Ian Thomson also suggests (I part 1 addition) that visual representation plays an important role in developing mental addition. for example, number lines help children to recognise place value and with prior knowledge of ordinal sense of numbers, it helps them to move from counting in ones to counting in larger steps, such as 2, 5, 10, 100 and so

In the last few years, many movies have starting appearing that combine the two, into a subgenre called comedy horror. Two films in particular that use this subgenre are Zombieland and Shaun of the Dead. Zombieland is a film focusing on a young guy called Columbus who is in search for his family, and meets a few people along the way through the zombie apocalypse. Shaun of the Dead focuses on a middle aged man called Shaun who lives a boring life and is now faced with the zombie apocalypse and losing his girlfriend. The first film of this essay is Zombieland by Ruben Fleischer, this film focuses on the adventures of an awkward and quirky guy called Columbus as he tries to get back to his parents while surviving the zombie apocalypse. The purpose of this film is the purpose that any big hollywood film has, which is to make money for the crew that created it, and to entertain viewers of the film. Seeking protection from Louis VII, Henry III abandoned his father and left for the French court, shortly followed by his two brothers. After a short amount of time, the brothers had attracted the support of many barons through bribing them with money and land. • 32. Psychological Theories Of Behavioral Finance Behavioural Finance Introduction Behavioural finance is a relatively new area of evolving research in finance. Behavioural finance seek to combine behavioural and cognitive psychological theory with conventional economics and finance to get a better understanding for why individual investors make irrational financial decisions. According to Sewell (2007), Behavioural finance is the study of the influence of psychology on the behaviour of financial practitioners and the subsequent effect on markets. The science focuses on the effects of individual investors making decisions based on hunches or emotions. Ritter (2003, p.429), describes behavioural finance is based on psychology which suggests that human decision processes are subject to several cognitive illusions. These illusions are divided into two groups as illusions caused by heuristic decision process and illusions rooted from the adoption of mental frames grouped in the prospect theory (Waweru et al., 2008, p.27) People may make predictable, non optimal choices when faced with difficult and uncertain decisions because of heuristic simplification. Behavioral biases, abstractly, are defined in the same way as systematic errors are, in judgment (Chen et al, 2007). Behavioral finance theories, which are based on the psychology, attempt to understand how the psychological variables (heuristics, prospect, and herding) and perceived risk behaviour (Risk Perception, Risk attitude and Risk Propensity) influence individual

And does the whole issue of truth and ethics really matter? Does it make any difference? Can the honest seeker of truth decide without accurate data? In our consideration of ethicsthe moral evaluation of what is right and what is wrong we will need to overcome some common misconceptions people hold in this arena of ethical determination. Personal opinion doesn t determine reality. For example, I can choose to believe that the earth is flat, but the reality of the matter is that the earth is spherical not flat! I may still choose to believe that it s flat, but I m still wrong! Another
  • 35. Comparing Gilgamesh And The Biblical Flood For centuries skeptics have questioned the authenticity of a great flood that covered the Earth. First mentioned in the Genesis account, a great flood has also been reported in other ancient writings such as the story of The Epic Gilgamesh from the Sumerian civilization. Ever since the Gilgamesh text finding in the mid nineteenth century, questions have arisen about the connection these stories could have with each other. The question is if one has historical truth and the other is based on it, or if both stories were drawn from the same mythology. However, deeper comparison of Gilgamesh to the Flood of Noah shows that it is extremely unlikely that the Biblical account of the flood is taken from the Sumerian text. While the two narratives similarly depict a global flood, the contradicting details of the stories and opposing world views indicate that the account of Noah is not reliant upon the story of Gilgamesh. Due to this fact, the differences and similarities between the Epic of Gilgameshand biblical flood can be perceived by analyzing the plot details, the main hero,... Genesis 7:11 describes this phenomenon by saying how, all the springs of the great deep burst forth, and the floodgates of the heavens are opened (Gen. 7:11). There is a more significant amount of water being supplied to create the flood in Genesis than there is during the six day rain episode in the Epic of Gilgamesh. This would logically allow the Earth to be fully covered in water. A simple 6 day rain is not able to cover the entire earth that the devastating flood of the bible requires. In comparison to the biblical account, the epic seems to express signs of

I will also give some tips and tricks I ve learned over the years. Frist off to build a fire I need to gather my materials. These materials are as follows: a lighter, rocks, a place to build the fire, some wood of all different sizes, a pocketknife, and about two handfuls of a tinder. So now you must be wondering what tinder is? Well it s simple; tinder is a material that you light to start a fire. Tinder is also considered to be stage one in the fire building process. Which means it s the first material in the fire to burn, and it needs to light the next level. Materials that can be used as tinder is newspaper, dryer lint, hay, and cardboard. You also may be wondering why a pocketknife. Well it s so that if I need to cut something I have a tool for the job. So after I gather up a lighter, pocketknife, and about two handfuls of tinder. I need to find a place to build the fire. It should be a place where there is somewhat level ground, and is at least 15

Beck Manufacturing Company Capacity And Proficiency Beck Manufacturing Company Capacity and Proficiency The Beck Manufacturing Company currently has five operational work stations, in which they produce steering gears for many auto manufacturers. Operation work stations in place are for milling, grinding, boring, drilling and assembly of parts. Within those operational departments the company must determine the organization capacity inputs and outputs to satisfy their customer demands. Capacity is a corporation s ability to deliver consumers goods, products or services in the volume needed within the time period allotted. To accomplish these obligation organizations will need to procure a physical location, working capital, skilled employees, and raw material for accomplishing the anticipated level of productions in order to meet the consumers demand. In business capacity planning is vital for the organization sustainability in an economical business environment, Vonderembse, White (2013), notes that substantial capital is generally required to build a facilities and for the procurement of equipment to build capacity. (ch. 8.1). For example if a manufacturers cannot deliver the required quantity of goods to a vendor on time due to a shortage of inventory, then and there to buyer may find another vendor and the business relationship can be severed. But then again, the company does not want to have excess products sitting in inventory and capacity without the demand from the consumers. Therefore, before estimating capacity as

Because of this, this advertisement s portrayal of a beautiful woman is an effective strategy to convince women to buy the Be Delicious perfume. By portraying the secondary message that whoever buys the Be Delicious perfume will stand out among others, DKNY tries to convince consumers to purchase its product. The title of the perfume, Be Delicious, shows that those who buy the perfume will be attractive and those who do not buy the product will only be ordinary. The woman in the advertisement also has a wide gap in her two front teeth. In American society today, perfect teeth are considered to be gapless and straight. Thomas Hooker And Reverend Samuel Stone The history of Hartford begins with Thomas Hooker s arrival in Newtown (later renamed Cambridge) Massachusetts where he became a pastor of one of the earliest established churches there. However, voting in Massachusetts was limited to freemen or limited to people who had been formally interrogated on their religious views and experiences. Hooker disagreed with these limitations and their influential pastor, John Cotton. So, Thomas Hooker and Reverend Samuel Stone led a group of one hundred people in 1636 and founded the settlement of Hartford. Which then led to the founding of the ConnecticutColony and Hookers increased involvement in politics. On January 14, 1639 freemen from the three colonies that made up the Connecticut Colony sat down and ratified the Fundamental Orders of Connecticut which was called the first written constitution known to history that created a government. It marked the beginnings of American democracy, of which Thomas Hooker deserves more than any other man to be called the father. The government of the United States today is in lineal descent more nearly related to that of Connecticut than to that of any of the other thirteen colonies (John Fiske). Having been founded on such prestige Hartford has seen some of the greatest successes and some of the worst failures. For example, Hartford claimed leader in both the industrial industry and insuranceindustry. Hartford houses some of the most famous insurance agencies and firearm factories.

Importance of Sex(Gender Role) A gender role is a theoretical construct in the social sciences and humanities that refers to a set of social and behavioral norms that, within a specific culture, are widely considered to be socially appropriate for individuals of a specific gender. Proponents of gender role theory assert that observed genderdifferences in behavior and personality characteristics are, at least in part, socially constructed, and therefore, the product of socialization experiences; this contrasts with other models of gender that assert that gender differences are essential to biological sex. Research supports this theory, finding gender differences in almost all societies, but with differences in the norms adopted, suggesting that gender differences... The firm could produce an uncoated bubble as cheaply as GAFCEL within a month with no major capital investment; it could run on machines used for another Sealed Air product. If Hauser were to recommend that the historic champion of barrier coating offer an uncoated bubble, he would have to specify timing, the marketing program for the new product, and any adjustments in policies for AirCap cushioning and Sealed Air s other products. They journey across the United States, exploring five different churches. Each, with innovative ways to balance the relationship between faith and society. Kingdom Politics is not necessarily an explanation of those two terms, but an insight into how various churches live out the relationship between their allegiance to God and country. Speers and Norris preface their cross country trip with an explanation of why they embarked on the journey. Both Speers and Norris come from varied political and religious backgrounds, however, they both agree that the church needs a new political vision, one that takes its cues about the nature of politics from another political reality: the kingdom of God (7). The authors are strongly convinced that mainstream churches in America today focus disproportionately on either King or Kingdom at the expense of the other. During the summer of 2016, my family and I went on a three week road trip starting in Chestertown, NY, and going as far west as Yellowstone National Park. The first stop on the trip was Niagara Falls. We went at night, and the water was lit up in various colors, it was pretty cool. These days heading out west were mainly long days in the truck followed up with even more long days in the truck. Before we went to on the trip, I thought that the trip down to Albany took forever, but a couple of fifteen plus hour drives going out west made going to Albany seem like it was just down the road. After two, maybe three days we were driving through Chicago at 3 in the morning (that s the time of night I saw several major cities along this trip) I thought it looked nice from what I could see, but then again it was 3 in the morning. In The Violent Bear it Away, O Connor uses Francis Tarwater, a miracle who was saved by God, to answer the question, How did we get here? Flannery O Connor displays the theme of cosmology and explores the big picture of the universe in many other of her Southern Gothic stories such as, The Lame Shall Enter First. The Lame Shall Enter First is even more disquieting than most of O Connor s works, and her protagonist s maneuverings for redemption are thoroughly skewed (Gentry 37). According to Boeing Engineer David Banis, Concentration cell corrosion, or crevice corrosion, is the most common type of corrosion found on airplanes (Banis 2). It occurred whenever water is trapped between two surfaces, such as under loose paint, within a delaminated bond line, or in an unsealed joint.
