Ride-Along Reflection
I completed my ride along with Virginia Commonwealth University Police Department on April 9,
2016 from 7pm 1am. The officer I rode with was Officer Cooper. The beginning of my ride along
included watching Officer Cooper insert evidence more specifically shell casing. He walked me
through how to insert the evidence in the database and also showed me the evidence locker. After

There are also quite a few scenes in the film in which the cameras depth of field and focus are used in

As far as the context of the film is concerned I believe it would be possible to take certain scenes and
piece them together in such a way as to illustrate a theme, but I believe watching the entire film really
brings everything together. I have no personal influences or biases that affected my opinion of the
film. I believe that this film is a very heartfelt and enjoyable story and there are no overtones that
should cause the viewer to be influenced otherwise. Overall I love the story and I think that the Tuohy
family set an amazing example for others to follow.

for this film is the biography genre. The Blind Side (2009) tells the story of Michael Oher, the first
round NFL draft pick of the Baltimore Ravens. Through the film the life and times of Michael are
chronicled from his early childhood upbringing in the aptly named Hurt Village, to the life he now
lives as a professional football player in the NFL. The film also incorporates many theatrical elements

The Japanese Americans were treated harshly because Americans turned their animosity on the
Japanese Americans for a crime that was committed by Japan. Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, after
that the Americans had a fear of being attacked on the west coast, this caused the relocation of
Japanese Americans to internment camps. The internment of Japanese Americans was disgraceful and
unnecessary. But, because the United States feared that if Japan was to attack, the Japanese Americans
would stay devoted to their country and fight against America. Their relocation was a strategy to
annihilate Japan. Still, taking innocent Japanese Americans away from their homes for no reason other
than them having Japanese blood in them is absolutely disgraceful, especially because some of them
fought with the United States in WWI. The internees had to spend the days of the war crammed in
camps. Two and a half years later the order was reformed, and in 1945, the last camp was closed.
Japanese Americans were sent to internment camps after Japan bombed Pearl Harbor, with the United

Interestingly enough Elgar enjoyed working for the asylum. Elgar soon traveled to Leipzig Germany
and Paris France where he spent most of his time attending concerts. During his travels he became
greatly influenced by Richard Wagner who was a famous composer of the time. This inspired Elgar to
increase his following and to publish some of his pieces. He often found himself financially unable to
accomplish this goal. At age 29 he met Caroline Alice Roberts who was the daughter of General Sir

is walking down the street and sees the landlady s sign, he seems to be drawn into the house. BED
AND BREAKFAST, it said. BED AND BREAKFAST, BED AND BREAKFAST. Each word was like
a large black eye staring at him through the glass. These words are holding him compelling him
forcing him to stay where he was and not to walk away from that house (2). This does not even make

house. The compulsion or, more accurately, the desire to follow after her into that house was
