Problems Identification & Suggestion
SL
.
Problem Identified Suggestion
0
1
In my working site, there
weren’t reputed
contractor and experience
full subcontractor.
I informed project manager.
Then he changed them and also
employed new contractor and
subcontractor.
0
2
Contractor didn’t
maintained proper work
schedule.
I regularly communicated with
them and increased observation.
0
3
So many unskilled mason
and labour were in my
construction site.
So, I have tried to handle
unskilled labour and mason and
sometime trained them.
38
SL. Problem Identified Suggestion
04 Building project neighbor
side there were no proper
safety of during construction
time.
I used Hessian cloth with
bamboo bracing to project
neighbor side, from the brick
bats, plaster mortar etc.
05 Suppliers didn’t supply
good quality sand, during
plastering work.
I have informed to the top
management and they
supplied good quality sand.
39
Conclusion
 Durability of a building depend mainly on proper construction process and
proper use of materials.
 I have supervised slab work, brick work, plaster work, sanitary & plumbing
work etc.
 After supervision of my construction site, I have learned a lot about
theoretical background and achieve practical experience. It seems to me
that the practical knowledge is essential to be an efficient engineer.
40
Recommendation
 Standard quality of material should be ensured first
 Leakage into joint of formwork should not allowed
 Unclean reinforcement should not used
 During casting vibrator should be straight instead of inclined
 Before casting vertical and horizontal level should be checked for all
formwork
 Every day before closing of works, the site should be cleaned

  • 38. Problems Identification & Suggestion SL . Problem Identified Suggestion 0 1 In my working site, there weren’t reputed contractor and experience full subcontractor. I informed project manager. Then he changed them and also employed new contractor and subcontractor. 0 2 Contractor didn’t maintained proper work schedule. I regularly communicated with them and increased observation. 0 3 So many unskilled mason and labour were in my construction site. So, I have tried to handle unskilled labour and mason and sometime trained them. 38
  • 39. SL. Problem Identified Suggestion 04 Building project neighbor side there were no proper safety of during construction time. I used Hessian cloth with bamboo bracing to project neighbor side, from the brick bats, plaster mortar etc. 05 Suppliers didn’t supply good quality sand, during plastering work. I have informed to the top management and they supplied good quality sand. 39
  • 40. Conclusion  Durability of a building depend mainly on proper construction process and proper use of materials.  I have supervised slab work, brick work, plaster work, sanitary & plumbing work etc.  After supervision of my construction site, I have learned a lot about theoretical background and achieve practical experience. It seems to me that the practical knowledge is essential to be an efficient engineer. 40
  • 41. Recommendation  Standard quality of material should be ensured first  Leakage into joint of formwork should not allowed  Unclean reinforcement should not used  During casting vibrator should be straight instead of inclined  Before casting vertical and horizontal level should be checked for all formwork  Every day before closing of works, the site should be cleaned 41
