A CV is a short summary of one's career, education, and qualifications used when applying for jobs or apprenticeships. It allows employers to see why an applicant is suitable and gain a first impression. A CV should include name, contact details, a brief self-description highlighting skills and qualities, education history, relevant skills and interests, and past employment including dates, roles, and skills gained. A CV should be no longer than two pages as employers lose interest in longer ones.
